I loved that South Park episode, if I remember right she slept around with different politicians including Bill Clinton to try and get the law changed.

That said legalized 72 trimester abortions (18 years) would be pretty good. Screwed up and got a defective child? No longer able to support it and have exhausted all other options? Want your sanity back?

That would make a great late night television commercial.

Mathew, for future reference, I don't read snippets. I don't just read chapters, or books. I read the whole bible and keep reading it. I know that at some far future date if I'm still here to read it, I'll glean something new to me. My simple stand on abortion is that it is murder. Pre or post, it is murder. He knew me from the womb.

What is being learned in college? Enough to make Paul write a longer letter than he did when ticked at the Galatians.

I may be in favor of late term abortion for all journalists that don't speak truth to power.

Charlie Rose and Tom Brokaw iirc spoke up election day eve on how they knew nothing about their favored candidate. Not a thing. Malpractice in the extreme.

Also for all Congress members in for more than 3 terms.

And of course, tenured journalism teachers who..... actually that's enough, tenure today is proof.

I was part of a believability study in my college days. The professor would promote some off the wall overly simplified stupid idea and we had to follow the believers to see how far they would go with it. The program wasn't even fun because the gullibility of people was so predictable.

You can argue that "self aware", is different things.

As Ettenuly points out, college age may not be the minimum requirement.

As I often say "You're not a man until your heart's been broken and you can buy feminine hygiene products without embarrassment."

So called adults that challenge me on the second one I call large children. I tell them to consider that the fellow at the store in line in front of them with the products that make them uncomfortable, is likely in a far more real relationship than one where the women tolerates the man child for a while.

I have to agree too. It would seem that you and I come to a different final conclusion than they do though. I would welcome this to become a legal issue with the Supreme Court again, weighing current scientific knowledge. Abortion is the biggest genocide the world has ever seen.

At the age of 7, my grandpa gave me a red rider BB gun for Christmas. He ingrained in me the moral guideline, "If you kill it, eat it".

This topic brings to mind John Swift's "A Modest Proposal".

The list of justifications for killing anything, animal or human, is pretty short.

But, that's based on the assumption that morality comes from God, and not from man. If morality is an invention of man, and subject to his/her feelings and misunderstandings... how in the hell have we made it 6,000 years without destroying ourselves yet?

You know, my wife and I are expecting. We recently had our second ultrasound. The first ultrasound looked like a blob, but the second was INCREDIBLE. I'm not the kind of guy who would typically be amazed by a baby, but it's life that my wife and I have created, and it's growing inside her, and now it has arms, and fingers! You can see them moving, you can see the heart beating. The baby moves its fingers, then touches and rubs its head!

Tell me that thing, at 12 weeks (now 15), doesn't have consciousness. Tell me it didn't decide to rub its head, but that it's hands only accidentally looked like they intentionally moved directly to its head and only accidentally started rubbing its head. Go ahead and tell me that that's the result of stardust and millions of years of order-to-chaos.

We fight a losing war. I've read the bible, I know how this ends. "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be..."
It doesn't get better. It gets worse. It always gets worse. Order to Chaos. Unless you believe in the ultimate redemption.... you've got nothing but Chaos to look forward to.
