Oh my it happened. My brain has made the shift from snow to dry tar!!

While doing spring maintenance on the sleds, I put the charger on the Uly!

I got a few things done to the new sled and finished greasing the bearings on the one Apex before the Buell fired up!!

After doing the normal spring checks like fluids and tire pressure, it was time to go burn a tank of fresh gas! 110 miles later, I don't see myself firing up the sleds again other than to warm the oil for their springtime oil changes and loading on the trailer for bed.

The third stall is officially in transition as the bike moves forward, and the sleds move to pre-stage for storage. My wife wonders why I do all this shuffling, other than to allow easier access to whatever I can ride that week!

DAMNIT!!! thought i was picking up a 13 split color green/white snow pro RR 800, but the guy got it sold off before i could get there. but i have found a 13 rr white(with green tunnel and decals) F1100 turbo sno pro RR for the same money. (about 7 grand less then it was new last year. YIKES!

just having a hard time talking myself into a 4 stroke over the 2 stroke. a turbo on a sled could be fun though... but more weight.

i still havent gotten the bikes out. its getting closer though. Jenn and i have talked about me getting hers moved to the front of the garage so she could ride it to work soon.

im spending my time doing things to my 70 shortbox gmc so i can get that out soon, and not seemingly getting to hyped about the bikes.

After about five charging cycles on my wifes bike, it finally came to life! She has a Suzuki Volusia. I hate carbed motors! All the sleds and my buell are EFI.

It was good to get it running and moved to the front of the garage. I did some more maintenance, purchased a case of 0W30 oil for the sleds.

I also installed an HID kit in the new XTX! Damn those are bright! I could have never justified the cost of HID's if my first Apex had not come with them. They light up the trail for sure!

We hit 78 degrees on Wednesday! The ice is almost off the pond out back.

Got all four shocks back from HyGear suspension for my daughters Phazer FX. They sure do a nice job calibrating those shocks for her weight.

Put the skid back together, and it is ready for next fall.

I am now seeing some facebook posts from Haydays and the SnoBarons. It's only three months till Haydays! Less than 95 to be exact!

Those sleds will be popular sellers come September! And gone as soon as the first flake shows up.

I can't imagine anyone not wanting to take one for a rip! Won't be long and the guys that have snowchecked 2015 sleds will be bugging their dealers for delivery dates.

i know, thats why im still trying to get something done before winter hits again. otherwise i just run the zr900 for me this winter and find her something with electric start or at minimum smaller cc(so she can pull it over) and reverse.

ive seen some guys saying their dealer already has there snowchecked 15's ready and waiting. so then they complain its to soon! lol.

which has me thinking maybe i should look for a 14... but im already disliking how much a 13 will cost, plus i cant get it in the split tone white and green.

Last winter was too freaking long... I am only just getting started with summer... new 4x4 beach pass, surf fishing (newbie) and barbecuing (at home) I do love cold weather but my back doesn't. It's (snow) going to be here before we know it.

Court, you are so correct. We spent our weekends of June and July on the lake, and it never felt like summer until now. (and that one 90 degree day back in April)

Goofy weather for sure. August is for catfishing in Fargo. Although I put on 180 miles of dirt roads and fire roads on the XT Sunday.

Rice, the idea of a motel for Friday/Saturday is a good one. Get out early on Saturday for the swap! WOOT!

I will be the guy with a Totally Yamaha black T-shirt on with my screen name "Biffdotorg" on the back. Find me amongst the thousands, I will buy ya a beer!

The Apex GT hit Craigslist this weekend! The amount of sled ads on different forums has really shot up with less than a month left before Haydays.

As others have said, I will trailer it to Haydays if it doesn't sell before then. Sad to see it go, but I don't need three sleds in the stable.

Snow is coming. We have a forecast that could see snow in ND over the next week. The potential for snow in the Northern half of MN this month is high as well.

I guess it is time to winterize the boat, put as many miles on the Uly as possible, and pull the sleds.

Last weekend I cracked open my enclosed trailer to the smell of bearing grease and Armor All. Fired up my 2007 Apex and put it on the open trailer for it's ride to Haydays to be sold.

Check out the photo of the crowd, that goes almost a half mile!

We had a great time, the new buyer is tickled and so am I. We saw all sorts of cool things at Haydays, and it truly is the official start of winter. We have had nice cool evenings, and the rain today is so close to sleet, you can feel it.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want summer to end, but being from MN, you learn not to fight it, and you just prepare yourself for the next season. (winter or not-winter)

the trip to haydays has officially gotten me in the mood for snowmobiling! had a great time with Jenn, and some friends and family. even though i walked for 10 damn hours almost nonstop on saturday, then again for a few on sunday!! and still missed alot.

im super amped for this season! something followed me home from haydays...

oh... YEAH!!!!!!

2013 Arctic Cat F800 SnoPro RR with 0.0 miles on it. heck we had to put fuel in it to even test fire it!

i even haaad to pick up a new helmet and goggles to go with the sled... you know how it is.

my friends were trying to talk me into this Tucker Hibbert edition of the same sled(once they finally gave up trying to convert me to Skidoo!), but it was used with 1300 miles on it, and i really wasnt digging it as much.

watched some freestyle(never did see the sleds ride)

this guy was REALLY backing that thing in with the tail whip. he was so far around(much farther then my pic shows) alot of the time it seemed impossible for him to get it spun back around to land in time

one of these kits is big on the want list, but not may options for the husky and at the price i will probably never buy one anyway

this just looked odd...

it was only a matter of time before huge stereos started making there way to snowmobiles i suppose. not sure about this, and ive built alot of big stereos.

this thing is a beast. 174" track with 3 inch lugs on it. hopefully the motor has the grunt to back that thing up. but the sheer amount of flex the track will have is spooky. there is alot of flop in it when its just sitting there not under power. i can see it start folding over like a loose chain does when under load...

these were some big beasts! thats a normal size seat on them. big twin tracks.

one of the cleanest 90's sleds ive seen in years(besides my 99 thundercat) this thing looked showroom fresh for being about 20 years old.

had a quick lunch... all shapes and sizes welcome ; )

never seen one of these before, twin track with no ski's there were alot of collector/antique sleds at haydays

they found a way to alleviate the clutch heat problem... vent EVERYTHING

all original except for minor paint touch-up on the skis. this thing was sharp

I caught Jenn and Liberace checking each other out...

thats when the party really got started!

a couple customs

i almost bought what is basically the twin to this shortly before haydays (F800 SnoPro Limited). if this would have been like that one i would have tried to deal on it. i like that white/black color scheme, but didnt want the xf(its a mid length track. i wanted the regular with the 129 instead of this with the 137. id love a true long track, but MAYBE one trip a year out west would never be worth owning one for me.

even checked out the new polaris Slingshot. it sits like a sports car.

had a good time, but obviously spent to much! i gave myself a gut ache stressing out about whether or not i should buy that sled...

already been hunting down stuff to make changes on it ; )

Oh my god, you finally found the sled you have been hunting! Good for you, and under $10K, that's a great deal!!

Is the warranty still valid on it the way you purchased it? Very cool!

We were in the beer garden right behind you watching the freestyle as well. Did you see the chick on the ATV pulling back flips? Amazing!

I'm pretty happy I didn't spend any real money, but I do have a list of items I want to hunt down before the season. We had frost last night, so it is really cooling down. I didn't even ride my bike to work this morning.

yep, full warranty on it! and obviously i negotiated with them a bit on sunday when i took it home :-)

the only thing it is not, is the split down the middle half green half white. and of course... now that i bought this one, i stumbled across one close to me that is that color and a good grand less, although its used with 1300 miles. oh well im not upset with my purchase!

no i didnt see her doing that! dang.

ya, i obviously spent the most out of my group this year... lol

now i have to get the belt stuff all figured out and changed over, along with a better bumper on front and maybe rear, knee pads mounted on it, different windscreen, handguards, maybe a wheel kit for the slides, tail bag, goggle bag for up by the bars so the motor defrosts them etc etc etc... you know how it goes!
