We lost a great friend and family member Tues. Tank our Bloodhound had to be put down. Old age and we think a stroke over came him on monday night. At 11 years old he was a very old Bloodhound.

He has been Maura's friend and bodyguard a perpetual toddler at her side since we rescued him. We have 2 other hounds but Tank was hers Keep her in your prayers she will be grieving for a long time.
I ll post some pictures of him

Sorry for your family's loss Ken.

Rescuing Sprite is a great book for grieving families...written by Mark Levin.

Bloodhounds bring back so many memorable movie scenes - Cool Hand Luke for one.
Years ago, a black coworker went to visit some relatives in the deep South. I asked him how he got there, meaning did he fly or drive? He replied "I went by Greyhound but I came back by bloodhound." He was a comical guy and the mental picture of his skinny legs crashing through the swamp with dogs baying in the background was funny. Right out of the movies.
Sorry for your loss, they are lovable creatures.
