All: With the narrow popular vote margin in the last election, and further voting "irregularities" turning up, what is your take on the thoughts of a rigged election..
Pirro nailed it . . he doesn't want the job, just the perks.
I'm sure he and the missus love the perks, but IMO what he wants most of all is respect. Consider his upbringing (what we know of it, anyway) - he's spent his entire life on a vain quest for respect and affirmation of his worth.
He still hasn't found it, and we're the recipient of his anger. In fact, he's SURROUNDED himself by moonbats with the same character traits.
I hope history accurately reflects what a total disaster his presidency has been.
Obama reminds me of a Bully that's been punched in the mouth for the first time. He doesn't know how to handle it when things aren't lined up nice and neatly for him. Talks a big game but when it comes to backing it up he just can't. Instead of confronting the obstacles that he faces, he is hiding from them as if they will just disappear and go away if he ignores them.
If the US had just stayed isolationist in 1940-48 Hitler would have eventually passed away, and we could have negotiated with his successor. The odds on the US being invaded before 1950 were slim, so we would have had a full decade to hide while we argued about preparing.
Wouldn't have been a good thing for Europe, but the loss of millions of lives would have been a small price to pay for "peace in our time".
But as this administration's policy statement says..."F785 the EU".
And as their observed policy goes, "Is it good for my party's election?" and "What's a treaty? WTH is a "solemn commitment?" Promises, shmomises. At this point, What Difference Does It Make? "
Interesting take Ferris, Perhaps the mid term elections will bring about change...
Thanks Oldog. I find it interesting that the mid-terms, which are literally just around the corner, are barely making "the news." Yeah, I read bits and pieces here and there, but you'd think that such a potentially pivotal election would be dominating the news cycles. Makes me wonder what the critters in the WH know that we don't know...
I have to believe that after negotiating with the terrorists once, they were not going to accept being ignored the next time. Foley's murder came soon after the deal for the deserter. Very bad deal indeed!
The administration has ignited so many ethical brush fires you don't know which one to rush to.
I was pleased to hear yesterday that Lois Lerner's e-mails WERE NOT lost . . . . it's just that they are on backup tapes and retrieving them is "an onerous task".
This, as usual, contradicts what the same person said the last time they appeared before Congress.
These folks can't even get their lies lined up . . . .
It's a task I've seen done numerous times at more than one company. Bottom line is that the people and Congress have been lied to as part of a cover up under this administration.
Laurie Dhue is a really nice person who I met by chance at the old Mickey Mantle's bar at Central Park South. She is incredibly down to earth and was genuinely happy and interested to converse with my wife (who is also a Laurie) and me. She was working with Geraldo but I haven't seen her on TV for awhile. I wish her the best because most "celebrities" are full of themselves.
This is Teh Won speaking to the American Legion in Charlotte, North Carolina yesterday. I think the only folks applauding were the members of his Secret Service detail:
Recent poll numbers indicate that the majority of Americans feel EXACTLY the same way about the big guy as the folks who had to suffer through this speech, which was delivered with all the passion and conviction of a man who absolutely cannot wait to get back on the golf course.
Embarrassing, he is. I sure hope we survive his pResidency.
