>>>Note that this was at the behest of the DOJ. That's important.

It was more than important. . . . it was a game changer.

I can no longer trust the IRS or the DOJ.

History shows it again and again...

That's the problem when you corrupt the rule of law. It ends up a free for all, with no way to solve it, and a lot of innocent people get hurt resetting things and getting the rule of law back into place.

The purpose of the rule of law is to prevent bloodbaths. When it vanishes, violence follows like winter follows spring.

I just finished a biography of a Waffen SS soldier who survived WWII. He didn't know about the genocide of the Jews, but he knew about the destruction of the rule of law.

quote:

A month after the German surrender ending the First World War, American President Woodrow Wilson arrived in Paris to throngs of admirers. After four years of the most destructive war in human history, Europeans looked to Wilson to broker the peace. All over Europe there were parks, squares, streets and railway stations bearing his name. H.G. Wells described the scene in Paris on December 13, 1918 when the president entered the city. “He was transfigured in the eyes of men,” he wrote. “He ceased to be a common statesman; he became a Messiah.”

Like Woodrow Wilson, the arrival of President Barack Obama on the world stage was greeted with a fervor that bordered on religious worship. Despising President George W. Bush’s “war on terror,” many looked to Mr. Obama to order the peace.

Like Wilson, candidate Obama had promised to transform international relations: hope would overcome defeatism, diplomacy would replace aggression, a revived United Nations would tame American unilateralism. Gushing at the prospect of an Obama White House, Harvard University’s Joseph Nye spoke for many: “It is difficult to think of any single act that would do more to restore America’s soft power than the election of Obama to the presidency.”

Now, after almost six years, it is difficult to think of a time when American power—soft or hard—was so inconsequential. Indeed, the gulf between Mr. Obama’s vision of the world and the world as we find it is staggering.

...Many events are beyond any president’s control. Certainly the pathologies that afflict much of the Islamic world are impossible for any nation to cure. And Mr. Obama inherited botched wars in Afghanistan and Iraq that severely damaged America’s standing and security in the world.

Nevertheless, the alarming fact remains that Mr. Obama seems not to understand the relationship of power to diplomacy. His vision of foreign policy, immature from the start, appears incapable of rising beyond campaign bromides and false choices. No president has so openly rejected America’s role as “the indispensable nation” in world affairs. The combined result is a leadership vacuum being filled by terror and disorder.

A cynic, such as myself, might consider our pResident's "leadership vacuum," not only on the world stage but domestically, as well, to be deliberate, controlled by the people behind the curtain pulling his strings.

I wonder how his few remaining acolytes explain his toothlessness and fecklessness. Anyone?

The irony is that I get what joke that is trying to make, but his birth certificate really does look pretty bogus.

The only question really is if it was photoshopped as part of a false flag redirection operation, or if it was photoshopped to hide something.

My guess is false flag. The real issue is that he claimed not to be a citizen to get financial aid. You know, lying and fraud. But it's OK because the outcome was "good".

It all bothered me, but bothered me less until I read an autobiography of a young and honerable soldier that got sucked into the Waffen SS in WWII. It was fairly terrifying in terms of how Germany came to commit their genocide, and how we in the US are committing ours (against unborn humans).

I've read that just four hours prior to his death Andrew Breitbart was on the phone with Sheriff Joe Arpaio discussing Arpaio's "Cold Case Posse" investigation of the legitimacy, or lack thereof, of 0bama's birth certificate, which was subsequently determined by Arpaio's posse (and everyone else with a pulse) to be a forgery.

In what America do we allow a person to be President if they can't prove they're an American citizen?

In THIS America, apparently.

In other news:

quote:

"The president's commitment to transparency and the crucial role of the independent press is unwavering. The president has set an historically high standard of transparency that is part of the legacy to which future presidents will aspire."

-- White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, August 11th, 2014

"Historically high standard of transparency"? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

Sharyl Attkisson Sues Federal Government to Obtain Obamacare Documents
Philip Wegmann / @PhilipWegmann / August 15, 2014

Investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson is taking the federal government to court.

Attkisson, a senior independent contributor to The Daily Signal, filed the lawsuit against the Department of Health and Human Services to obtain information about the troubled Obamacare rollout last year.

The former CBS News reporter and Emmy award-winning journalist won’t be going alone; the legal group Judicial Watch will represent her in court.

The lawsuit follows four unsuccessful Freedom of Information Act requests. In October 2013 and again in June of this year, Attkisson requested information from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) concerning the efficiency and security of the HealthCare.gov website.

All four requests went unanswered. [emphasis mine]

Ms. Attkisson apparently asked too many tough questions of the White House during her tenure at CBS News. It's good to see she's still on the job.

David Rhodes is the president of CBS News, and his brother Ben Rhodes is the Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor.

Yeah, I could see where having an actual investigative reporter on your payroll in this situation could be a little bit awkward...

http://pjmedia.com/victordavishanson/our-face-in-t he-crowd/?singlepage=true

On a deeper level, Obama habitually says untrue things because he has never been called on them before. He has been able throughout his career to appear iconic to his auditors. In the crudity of liberals like Harry Reid and Joe Biden, Obama ancestry and diction gave reassurance that he was not representative of the black lower classes and thus was the receptacle of all sorts of liberal dreams and investments. According to certain liberals, he was like a god, our smartest president, and of such exquisite sartorial taste that he must become a successful president. In other words, on the superficial basis of looks, dress, and patois, Obama was reassuring to a particular class of white guilt-ridden grandees and to such a degree that what he actually had done in the past or promised to do in the future was of no particular importance.

Then there is the media, the supposed public watchdog that keeps our politicians honest. In truth, Obama winks and nods to journalists, in the sense that as a good progressive Obama is about as liberal a president as we have ever had — or will have. Obama sees cross-examination as a sort of betrayal from journalists, who, for reasons of some abstract adherence to “journalistic integrity,” would by their own reporting subvert a rare chance of a progressive agenda. Obama’s anger is not just directed at Fox News and talk radio, but rather reflects a sense of betrayal that even slight fact checking by liberal journalists exists: why must Obama tell the truth when he never had to in any of his earlier incarnations?

When the dust settles from all this a couple of things are going to be obvious.

1. The Media are guilty of malpractice, and you simply can't believe them anymore. This is a bad thing short term, but a worse thing long term, since a free press reporting on the failings and abuses of our ( and other ) government is part of the badly needed feedback loop that makes a Republic possible. The damage done to Freedom by the above pretty boys is incredible.

2. The use of junk science to steal people's property makes all science lose credibility. If the fellow on TV lies to me every day about it being the hottest year on record, why on earth would I believe him if he warns me to flee a Hurricane? Or evacuate the town because of a probable volcanic eruption?

I saw a great documentary on the Mt Pinatubo eruption. The lead Scientist was worried about issuing a warning to the local villages to evacuate.

Warn them too late, people die.
Warn them too early, and when nothing happens, they go home and don't listen to the next warning.....and people die.

The Benghazi Brief
Posted on August 19, 2014 by sundance

As with all complex stories the valuable discoveries come with time.

This Brief has been updated to include newly spotlighted research on Syria and ISIL. Most importantly the previously unknown “Second Presidential Finding Memo” to the CIA in 2012 specifically directed to arm/aid ISIL in Syria. The new information from the month before the Benghazi attack explains the motive of the Turkish delegation toward Chris Stevens.

Grab a cup of coffee because it’s a long read with over 350 citations and reference source links for conformational material. We think you’ll get hooked and find 95% of your Benghazi questions answered. And if you can find a factual flaw I’ll buy the coffee.. SD

This is why it is so dangerous to have an egotistical community organizer in the white house.

Neither of you is wrong.... IMHO.

Congresscritters often begin a speech with a request to revise and extend, ( or vice versa, IIRC ) and then can give a speech as short as "I agree" and sit down, saving everyone time and boredom. Also... passing his remaining time to someone else who wants to jawbone. The entire written speech, maybe written much later, is placed in record as if it were given.

So dangerous egotistical..... and treasonous inflexible..... are not in disagreement at all, you simply clarified the original statement, ( or Reep could refute your revision, if he wished )

No conflict.

I might argue naive, but I could be wrong. The conspiracy theory of rich white ex Nazi George Soros is the puppet master could be true...

You can't tell with people like Obama who have embraced a life of lies if he's a cold blooded cynic or a hot blooded ideologue.

The narcissistic ego driven very angry guy who can't take criticism is public record. And could be either one.

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/385588/obama s-mission-accomplished-moment-tom-rogan

‘We broke the ISIL siege of Mount Sinjar. We helped vulnerable people reach safety, and we helped save many innocent lives. Because of these efforts, we do not expect there to be an additional operation to evacuate people off the mountain.” So said President Obama last Thursday.

Those words reflect the President’s political calculations. They do not reflect the state of Iraq. After all, aware that his liberal base supports a foreign policy defined by rhetoric and hashtags, the President has an interest in presenting a simplified version of Iraq. His intended message is clear: I have saved lives and protected vital American interests, and have done so in a nearly cost-free way. This is Obama’s salesmanship, intended for domestic audience.

Props for president Obama for trying

IF it's true.

The root sources of this news are Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Admiral John Kirby and Lisa Monaco, the assistant to the president for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism.

Search these folks (don't use Google, use StartPage's proxy function: https://startpage.com/). They were hand-picked by 0bama for the positions they currently hold; that alone should tell you something of their political leanings. I'm of the general opinion that any friend of the pResident is not to be trusted.

The report from the Pentagon may be true, but the current occupants of the White House have a very poor record of telling the truth. The cynic in me wonders if the preezy is simply trying to look and sound, well, presidential, particularly with the mid-terms coming up. He's certainly earned the skepticism.

Thanks for the link.
