Well guys, I've been promising pics since Monday and I finally got around to downloading and sorting mine (from 2 different phones and 1 camera), plus some from Finedaddy1, Mike Thrift, owner and operator of the Skyline Village Inn, and one stolen off Barker's FB page.

I'd estimate we had somewhere around 40+ Badwebbers who showed up over the weekend, and close to that many Buells parked out front at various times. That's about 4X the max attendance at previous BITA events. We had attendees from Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee that I know of, and I'm sure I missed a few states in there.

You want pics, here you go...

The night we arrived at the Skyline, Sunday July 20th, looking out from our hotel door on the balcony of the Skyline Village Inn.

Sometime that week, a view from the deck of the Mountain View Restaurant, just across the street from the Skyline:

Friday, July 25. Clouds rolling in but the rain held off, hanging the Buell banner on the fence at the Skyline overlook:

Finally, Saturday, July 26, the sun is out and we're getting ready for the full launch of BITA IV:

The Buells are starting to line up Saturday morning:

That's a lot of Buells (and a few non-Buells):

Randy from Real Performance Motorsports of Greenville, SC arrives with the 1190RX and 1190SX. He had PLENTY of people willing to help him unload. There's Barker and Buelltours ready to lend a hand:

Closeup of the 1190RX. The color REALLY looks good in the sunlight:

Closeup of the 1190SX:

Chopped_burban trying out the SX:

RPM had a tent and a banner on the overlook across the street from the Skyline:

RPM's tent with the awesome view from the Skyline as a backdrop:

Another view of the line of Buells in attendance:

Buells, Buells, and more Buells:

Glitch!

Hughlyssses and Buelltours:

Lineup of Buells with the Skyline across the street:

View of the route for test rides, NC-226 looking down from the overlook across the street from the Skyline. That's a Badwebber trying out the 1190SX:

Finedaddy1 trying out the 1190SX:

New12R and No_Rice before or after test rides:

Randy from RPM suited up to lead another demo ride with the SX:

Me after my test ride:

The SX was fresh off the production line!

Cyclonecharlie, Etennuly, and another Bueller chilling out under the motorcycle parking shed behind the Skyline:

Moto Guzzi and XB12S behind the Skyline:

Finedaddy1's NICE red on red 1125CR:

Dennis_c's tricked out 1125R that he rode down from northern Ohio for the meet:

Red XB12S, I think the owner was getting an 1190SX demo ride at the time:

A few of the bikes behind the Skyline, Rcontroler's KZ Connie, SCbuellkat's 1125R, and the XB12S and Guzzi pictured earlier:

More Buells under the shed; that's M2nc's freshly refurbished red M2 next to Olddog's X-1 at the far right:

One of the many Uly's; I think this one is Chopped_burban's:

This S3 belongs to Chopped_burban's buddy; he unfortunately went down during a ride Saturday and suffered a broken collar bone. Glad to hear he is mending and the damage to the S3 wasn't serious:

In a related photograph, Barker apparently wanted to do a closeup inspection of the underside of his Uly while offering assistance with the S3 get-off mentioned above:

Cyclonecharilie's tricked out M2; as always, this bike drew a lot of looks and comments:

Nice X1 (White Lightning?):

And not to exclude the other makes that showed up, here's 86129squids' freshly-painted Triumph:

...and Twig's freshly restored 1984 Honda VT500FT Ascot (subbing for his slick XB9S):

Sifo's XB12S:

Me and my ferocious killer attack dog kicking back with Etennuly and some other Badwebbers on the third floor balcony at the Skyline after a day of riding:

Not sure if anybody else made it into the nearby town of Spruce Pine, but Dry County Brewing & Pizza has some killer in-house brews and some might good pizza. This pic is from earlier in the week:

Etennuly coming back from supper as seen from the hotel balcony:

Thanks to everyone that came, thanks to Randy and RPM for showing up with the EBR bikes and giving demo rides (on an awesome road at that), and thanks to Mike Thrift and the Skyline Village Inn for the hospitality.

If you didn't make it down this year, go ahead and mark it on your calendar for next year, 24-26 July 2015.

Thanks again for your help Hugh.

I just hate that I didn't meet everyone, but those I did were really nice.

Mary and I made it home today after a few bonus days hanging in Robbinsville. We both had a great time.

One more pic of the gathering of Buells from the Balcony...

We stayed Sunday night and watched the storm blowing through. Here's the conditions on the BRP Monday AM. Blowing like stink! Debris was all over the road too!

One of the great "features" of my GPS! Yes, it's saying to turn off road in 24 miles somewhere near the TN/KY border. It's just one of the reasons I've named it Sybil.

Of course it is nice that Sybil helps me find roads like this to head north on getting out of Dodge.

More typical was stuff like this though. Sure beats the super slab.

Our second day of heading home was all on the slab. Not nearly as nice, but it got us home safely. Mary's Guzzi was so upset it started puking oil out of the valve cover.

I hope you do Froggy. BITA 5 should be epic!

BTW, if anyone would like a BITA 4 T-shirt, please let me know. Price will be between $10 and $20 each depending on the quantity I order. 100% cotton T-shirts; they seem well-made. Available in black on gray or white on black:

Mnrider I once recommended the area to Sifo. Ask him if it's worth the ride from Illinois.

And I've managed to head down to that area four times now. The riding is fantastic. It's very easy to find great rides. We have taken to splitting our trips between Little Switzerland area and near Deals Gap. We make it a point to not be around Deals Gap on the weekend. The ride between the two is great too if you avoid the expressways. Our chance to get away tends to fall during the heat of mid summer. Temps tend to be quite tolerable in the mountains during that time. The quality of the pavement is much better than I'm used to in the northern states too.

The one thing I miss when down there is goo Mexican food. They make up for that with their BBQ!

"The one thing I miss when down there is good Mexican food."

Heck, wish I'd known that- there's a place in Cosby called "The Front Porch", they call themselves a "Mexican-Bluegrass" restaurant! Haven't been there in years, but they made some of the best guacamole I've ever had!

Townsend and Maryville both have good places for Cuban food, FWIW! Knoxville has several good tamale joints, as well as some very good/authentic Mexican places.

I can usually point you in the directions of good eats!
