If you were to build a ground-up performance motor, which would you use out of these two and why?

Delphi EFI '07-up Sportster or '08-up DDFI (XB)?

I'm planning a killer build (and heavily considering a Turbo if I may add) but I want to use EFI on it and utilize the CPS notches in the later XB/XL cranks.

Some of the things I'm wondering is programming abilities, limitations, tuning options, elevation and-or A/F compensation, etc.

If you're going custom....hate to say it, but the HD system may be the way to go. Not necessarily for out of the box ability...but because the aftermarket is HUGE.

Hell, get the HD setup and the EFI Race Tuner with software...and write your own program.

That's a good point Joe, something I've been thinking about a lot lately. For the cost of a stock ECM and SERT, I think I could also get a Thundermax or something similar and do the same thing. Options are certainly nice..
