Interested in the No-Mar brand and wondering if you bought one and which model you settled on. Real tired of experts not getting the tire mounted per the manufacturer's instructions for a particular tire. And, with 5 bikes now, it may pay for itself soon enough. Plus, a couple of the models change ATV and car/truck tires too, so that could be a bonus as well. Any advice as well for a balancer? Thanks guys! |

I got a cycle hill deal. One issue I had was the clamps aren't 100% up to the task when mounting. I had to tie a strap on a spoke. Another issue I had was the set didn't include a "yellow hand thing" which I needed to buy for extra.http://www.nomartirechanger.com/category_s/39.htm I bought it with a balancer thingy and was disappointed to find it didn't come with any weights. I reused my original weights with two sided tape Other than the gripes above, it works great and I have used it on two sets of tires. amazon.com sells tires and ships them to my door with free shipping. |

Yep, I have the classic junior model with the trailer hitch mount. Made my own floor mount to bolt to the garage floor. If you go by HD prices on tires and labor, it takes maybe 2 sets of tires to pay for itself. Order tires online from just about any vendor and they're 1/2 the cost from HD, your labor is what you think it's worth. No-Mar's are worth the price, they work well. I also made my own balancer about 5 or 6 years ago, it's about the same as the one they sell (or used to) although I haven't looked to see if they still do. If you're buying from them, don't forget to get a box of weights to go along with it. I just got the plain lead ones, they had colored weights to match generic wheel colors back then. |

I have a NoMar Classic. I bought it in 2007 or 2008, and it's paid for itself probably a couple of times over. I changed tires for a bunch of bikes (I do free tire changes for Buells and Moto Guzzis (and probably damn near any other bike unless the owner is a jackass). I like my NoMar a lot and I recommend it to anyone who is curious about one. A word of caution, though. It takes a while to get proficient with the NoMar. Once you get the knack, things will just glide along, but before that, you'll struggle a bit. I think it took about a dozen bikes worth of tires until I got comfortable using the changer. Now, there's no way I would part with it. |

I went in halves with my brother 5 or 6 years ago when he was doing a lot of track days and I had dirt bikes. It's been a very good investment. I think Dr. Greg has one too. |

The guy in the NoMar video sure can do it with ease. I searched "nomar" here and it yielded many BadWeb threads. |

I bought the Cycle Hill model, it is a piece of shit. Spend the extra coin for the real No-Mar. |

The stock floor mount didn't work on the one we bought about 3 years ago. Had to weld up our own. The device itself works good but hopefully by now, they re-designed the floor mount so it's not so wobbly. |

Bought a classic several years ago. Great investment! Watch the videos on how to assemble it, more there than in the instructions. It does take some use to be proficient, but you will get there. The folks in the videos own the company. I had a problem breaking the bead on an XB rear, took it to one of the shows they were at and the demo guy said Buells are very hard. No drop center in the rim. I upgraded to the Pro breaker arm, which NoMar called a warranty replacement for $25.00 and dropped the height 1" more, no problems now. Great people, watch the videos, or call them, you won't be disappointed. |

I have the Harbor Freight POS tire machine and matching POS motorcycle tire changer I utilize this with the Nomar bar. With Nomar's lube products it works well enough for all the more I change them. The tire machine is all about holding the rim, the bar is what changes the tire without damaging the rim. |

Yeah, I have a no-mar junior pro, and have had it for about 18 months. I've changed 65 tires this year so far. Love the stupid thing. |

get the larger no mar machines, the budget model is ok, but the heavier machine will be better, get the accessories, like the third hand clamps, mine has paid for its self, just wish I had gotten the heavier machine I have my stand on a sheet of ply wood floor mounting is best. |

Had mine mounted to the floor of the old place, but when I bought a house, I decided to not drill it it. They sell a fancy roll on mount, roll a car tire over the mount, screw machine onto other side, solid as hell. Use that for every change this year. |

I have the Cycle Hill version and have no complaints about it. Whether Cycle Hill or the No-Mar, a firm mounting is essential. |

I'm using this tire machine. It gets tired after installing a set but works better every year.

I use the No-Mar bar and balancer with the HF machine and it has easily paid for itself. The time it would take me to bring my bike to a shop and wait for it is more than it takes to do it myself. If I were doing it again though, I would go with the No-Mar and may make that upgrade now that I also have a Dyna with stiff sidewall tires. Definitely watch the videos and learn the tricks to making it easier. |
