Hey guys I'm an Australian in LA for two days and am hoping to buy some new motorcycle gear as it is significantly cheaper in the states.

Does anyone have any recommendations for big cheap motorcycle gear stores in LA that are easy to access by public transport. Would really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks

May be difficult to get to with public transportation, but Chaparral Motorsports in San Bernardino area is the Disneyland of motorcycle stores in the area. Not familiar with an equivalant store more in Los Angeles area.

There is a variety of Cycle Gear locations throughout SoCal. They have several brands of riding gear that can be considered depending on your taste and/or preferences. Just Google Cycle Gear for locations.

I agree with Sparky. Cycle Gear is everywhere. Chapparal is good but far away if you're not transportation-independent.

Cycle Gear's "house brand" is cheapie Chinese stuff but they do sell real brands too.

Thanks for the info everyone. Unfortunately I didn't get to make it to Chaparral Motorsport as it was way to difficult to get to. I did browse the website though and it looks impressive.

I didn't even manage to make it to cycle gear as it was still over an hour on the bus.

Maybe next time I guess. Either that or il suck it up and pay the postage to Australia

Heck, we should have offered to pick up gear for you AND meet for dinner and a brew.
