Tube Buell Lightning X1 vs XB9R Firebolt

Seat height and reach to bars - how do they compare / feel / ride ? Thanks!

X1 has more soul, IMO a worse saddle but more upright. Xb9r feels slower but really isn't. You reach further forward angle wise, but the comfort is great.

My opinion is really only just that.... Everyone will give a different answer.

Reliability I'd shoot for xb

Cool factor x1

I should have noted that I have a Firebolt and it's about as tall as I am comfortable with (I, am not tall...).
Wondering if the X1 would feel same'ish or even taller...

The bolt is wider you feel more on top of it rather than "on or in" as the x1 is a bit narrower at the seat airbox juncture.

X1 Vs Fireblot = no competition, tubers are infinitely rebuildable, fueller will be an expensive garden ornament one day....but again only my opinion....you pays your money etc

Seat height please. By spec the X1 is a half inch taller, but how does it actually play out? Bike is too far for me to go sit test...

I agree with the above.

In general the tubers are great street bikes with a lot of character. They have a bit of a kit bike feel and parts and hardware are readily available and maintenance tasks leave components more accessible. That said, if owning one long term one must enjoy tinkering.

The X bikes are much more refined and modern in feel. There's a lot less monkey motion in the chassis when pushed hard. They tend to require less mending long term.

Do you like modern sport bikes or prefer the old school sport standard?

I dropped my '99 X1 ass end by about 2".

Lowered seat height too!

My secret...used 14.7" front mount with a 16.5" shock...now lower.

I've never owned an XB, but have three tubers. Love them all...see profile. My 1125r requires more ab muscles, for less wrist weight!

That is a beauty, I really like the ceramic coated headers. You will too. If they get dirty a little burnishing with fine steel wool will make them look new again.
