What a maroon.

I'd like to see the vid from an hour later when one of the drunks tosses a cigarette into the petrol slick on the pool.

Try tossing a lit cigarette into an oil drain pan containing an inch or two of gasoline. It ain't like the movies.

When I was about 18 I explained what would happen to a dumb ass who promptly lit a cigarette and threw the lit match instead of the cigarette into the gasoline.

Hot oil or cold?
It makes a difference.

A cool swimming pool will usually just need a good cleaning and fresh filter media. If it has a heater and it's blood temperature. .... might be a few vapors to ignite.
Diesel usually just puts the cig out.

More a joke and Hollywood than a real major fire hazard.

You must have missed this, ...an oil drain pan containing an inch or two of gasoline.

Diesel usually just puts the cig out.

Unless it is preheated to a fairly high temperature diesel will always put the cigarette out.

My Yamaha 750 triple had a bad gasket in the automatic fuel tap. Would flood the crankcase with gasoline. First thing I thought of to get gas in an oil drain pan. I must have changed the oil 4 times before I figured it out.

It's fun to start the bike and half a block later have it puke oily gas on your legs.

Then it would run fine.

That pool is going to take some cleaning.
