Putin, has been making more capitalistic moves in the last month that Obama has made all 6 years in term.
Witness - reaffirmation of contracts for French AirCraft / Helicopter Ships
Consolidation with new tech incentives in Moscow and St Petersburg open tariff parks
Firmer cooperation with China, India, and Brazil in efforts to shore trade, oil, manufacturing, and licensing agreements to trade in NON - US currency units
Attendence to the Euro Zone Econ summit - though not allowed into the G-8* talks - still courted by France, Britain, and Sweden during the week for economic joint ventures

Putins popularity (if we are only basing the value of a leader on polls) is shattering and escalating to new levels.

What would turn this thing around ?
The US pulling its head out of its ass
Kiev to quit shelling civilians in the East
Moscow to reaffirm their lease on Baltic Assets
A coordinated EU/Ukraine/Moscow deal on gas - you know - like the one they had BEFORE the 'illegitimate' coup that ousted the former regime..... you know - the other illegitimate horde of crony thieves.

An INDEPENDENT Ukraine - means - everyone mind your own f'n business; come to visit for tourism - then go the f' home.

So good it needed saying twice.

and then yes - dark "

The Russians should just give up now, while they stand a chance.

Looks like Russia is giving up. Giving up being walked all over by the U.S administration's expansion plot.

http://rt.com/news/164972-russia-wargames-baltic-r eply/

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has already dubbed even the rotational military build-up near the Russian borders as an act of hostility directly violating the NATO-Russia Founding Act of 1997, Lavrov’s First Deputy Vladimir Titov told Interfax.

With the background of developments in Ukraine, the beef-up of NATO’s military presence near Russian borders, “just like during the 08.08.08 war in the North Caucasus, it rather creates additional problems instead of helping to solve them, Titov said.

On Monday Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after meeting his Finnish counterpart Erkki Tuomioja that, “The artificial attempt to continue NATO's eastward expansion, progression of the military infrastructure to the east, closer to Russia's borders, is counterproductive.”

Another clusterfuck the U.S. created.

Maybe this is the distraction, leaving Ukraine to sort its own issues.

Doubt it somehow though.

Oh now THAT shows what a Genius Obama is.

he Russians should just give up now, while they stand a chance.

Why? They are winning. The only question is where will they stop?

Obama cannot replace the energy Russia supplies Europe from the domestic boom since there isn't a transatlantic pipeline.

Tankers for CNG or cryogenic NG to deliver the needs of Europe simply don't exist.

I suppose France can take over Libya completely to get oil from them.... in a few years.

Fight Russia and Europe will freeze this winter. There is Nothing we can do about it, except.... a few things The Obama Administration Will Not Do.

and the solutions to the energy problem simply cannot be up and running in less than a year. No way.

Possible solutions include Solar Power Satellites, Thorium Safe Nuclear plants, and burning politicians for fuel.

Ok, we could have that one up by winter. It'd take a war to round up the fuel, though.

Might be worth it.

Now that burning politicians Idea is due for a come back. It was a French Idea the first time. Joan developed a bad attitude so some claimed

We should save Christie for next winters big blizzard!

Digi, ask Kiev where the real proof is before you post the lies.

The Ukrainian authorities point to numerous examples of what they claim is the direct engagement of Russian troops.

No one doubts Yanukovych was corrupt. His ousting was illegal and the start of the murdering by U.S. supported terrorists and Nazi's. Nuland made this rather clear remember ; )

If you want a more accurate picture you only need spend a little of your time digesting this.

It is much closer to the truth, as much has been seen on Youtube and RT News which cannot be refuted, no matter your opinions on the source of the broadcasters.

Troops are up in count at Rostov on the Don; and as I predicted - the 'separtists' have seized a damn in the region... power plant and oil lines will be next; they have already taken air ports and tv stations.

Why go Iraq? . . . my favorite neighborhood organizer assure d us everything there was fine, peace and under control. .

quote:

Three planeloads of Americans were being evacuated from a major Iraqi air base in Sunni territory north of Baghdad, U.S. officials said Thursday, and Germany urged its citizens to immediately leave parts of Iraq, including Baghdad.

President Barack Obama said Iraq will need more help from the United States, but he did not specify what it would be willing to provide. Senior U.S. officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter by name said Washington is considering whether to conduct drone missions in Iraq.

The U.N. Security Council met on the crisis, underscoring the growing international alarm over the stunning advances by the Islamic State.

They guy really is a blooming idiot . . . . it's nice, at last, to see more and more democrats asserting that by the day. Calling Diane Feinstein a liar and inferring Chuck Hagel was . . surely didn't help.

I was wondering this before I even saw that picture...

But will a .223 round puncture a Toyota engine block? What about a .308 or .30/06?

At least somebody put up a fight somewhere.

More likely, a better question would be will a 7.62 round puncture a Toyota engine block? I would expect that any perpetrator round from a high powered rifle would do the job. Those involved may not have had the right rounds for the job though.

Quiz - Who was responsible for this mess?

That would be the UN.

Who left the US occupying Iraq after the first Gulf War? Given the political climate of the time, what would your solution have been? The bleeding hearts were telling us that around 250K children were dieing every year due to the occupation and embargo. So, what would your solution have been?

If you believe that we were concerned about kids, you have cataracts.

BTW, you seem to completely miss the point I made. It was the bleeding hearts, from around the world, but here in this country too that were using this as the lever to move policy on Iraq. They were moving to end the US control of parts of Iraq that the UN left us with.

So I gather that your solution of stay out means you would have left Saddam to go back to what he planned to do when the world packed up and left. It's well documented that he had plans to restart his WMD programs as soon as we left the region. That would include nukes. In hindsight, that doesn't seem like a very good plan, does it?

No Cheney put us there. Halliburton made millions of our tax dollars. Thief.

Since, you admit, that his "plan" was to restart his WMD program means that they didn't exist yet. That was the justification for war was it not.

Why do you believe everything they told you about Iraq but you question everything this administration says. One might conclude that you are being political.
