Been a long time since a Buell design affected me emotionally (XB series was the last). I am thrilled to say that the feeling has returned. It literally warms my heart when I look at the 1190SX. Job well done. I will be purchasing one of these.

I like the side view and 3/4 rear, but that headlight is killing me. |

Looks like those are Aprillia Tuono mirrors? This is one of the very few that I considered other than the EBR. Something about the V-4 just does it for me. It's also one I'd like to possibly build an exhaust for just to see what it would sound like. |

Looks like those are Aprillia Tuono mirrors? I noticed that too. A lot of Uly riders installed those; maybe EBR took notice. |

Mirrors . . . like turn signals and switches . . . come from one of several vendors. No manufacturer, that I am aware of, does anything but thumb through the catalog and find the style and quality level consistent wit their design needs. I always that it was cool . . .from 1997 . . . that the Buells and Ducatis shared switches. The only kicked was the position of the "kill" switch. Buell had "forward" on and Ducati had forward "off". All based on 10 year old memories . . . it I am wrong . . slap my ass with a wet poodle. There are a couple Aprillias here in the hood "along with a plethora of Hypermotards and Monsters) and it's a damn good looking bike. |

I don't get why folks don't like the headlight. It looks like the same light as the RX...just in a naked flyscreen instead of a full fairing. And I like it! |

Ratbuell, I don't care for the look of the headlight much. It seems to be styled more flowing/curvy, whereas the rest of the bike is more rigid/angular. But that is an easy enough thing to change of course. I'm looking forward to hearing the pricing on the SX. |

I like it. Can't wait to go test drive one. The headlight is o.k. with me, and since the actual light is the same as the RX, it will definitely be bright enough. I also like that there is interchangability with the RX on many parts (at least it appears that way) because they will be easier to get, and the aftermarket will target both bikes. |

But will it do 3rd gear roll on wheelies.... |

^ I would imagine so. Lean back (or just sit up straight) on the RX and it will in 2nd quite easily as I found out right at the end of my break in mileage. I invariably find myself plastered to the airbox on mine to keep it from doing exactly that. I almost at times think this is entirely too much bike for me. The SX is more upright, so that leads to more rearward weight distribution from the rider's perspective. Just a light tug on the bars and it should come right up in just about any gear. Did I mention I hate wheelies? |

I'd like to see that front view with a rider seated on it... And you are right, I'd paint the coolant tank black. |

D-adams, I'm not a Wheelie fan myself. The headlight is ok, it's the brake light/plate holder on a stalk thing I'm not thrilled with. Then again, it looks like you could easily make a tucked up one fit. ( and break the law in several states... but it would look better ) OTOH it looks like it's intelligently designed to toss soft saddle bags on. What's the price? |

Does anyone make a clear LED taillight conversion for the EBR bikes yet. The CR spoiled me in that respect - going back to red will never be an option - it would then be clear LEDs all around for a cool icey look. EZ |

I almost at times think this is entirely too much bike for me So what does he do; builds a different exhaust system to make more power. |

Wonder if the ax radiator pods are adaptable to the 1125r and cr? |

"But will it do 3rd gear roll on wheelies..." Well, the RX does so with ease, so I imagine the SX will. http://imgur.com/758xpv9 *all wheelies on my RX performed on closed test tracks in Mexico. |
