Hi, If any one here is a LEO I'm in need of some quick help. I live in Rockaway NJ and Tampa FL. Right now I'm in NJ but with a FLDL I can't title my bike here. All I need is and affidavit signed by a LEO so I can mail the title to FL. I'm within walking to Black hills cycle. on 46. I won't bend your ear for hours if you don;t have time to talk.. Oh, The affidavit is only to verify the vin and mileage.. |

Great town, Rockaway. Sorry, don't know any policemen there. Good luck. Try the local police station? |

Call the DMV or just the local station and ask them if they can help. The local PD is unlikely to ticket you for no title while you're in the process of obtaining one. If it were me, I'd simply ride it to the station and ask for help. Cops are people too. Chances of running into Barney Fife are slim to none. |

True, and a good point. I'm off Monday, I'll stop by and talk to the guy that did it for me a couple months ago.. if he's cool about it I'll bring pizza..lol |

Local police, call the station, not 911, this is a fairly standard service call for cops in my area. I've had it done on several bikes purchased out of state. DMV "officer" came out to my truck on another bike and verified VIN with the bike in the bed on my XB purchased out of state. |

I'm guessing they would be willing to come to you, seeing that you are a good citizen not wanting to break any laws by riding an unregistered bike to the station and all. If not, ask them how to get the bike there. |

Wow! You guys are awesome. I took a few pics of the bike and vin. I'm hoping The Sargent in Rockaway will do it like that for me. He did my Vulcan about two months ago and he seemed pretty laid back.. If not I'll call 911. At least I know they will come to my place in 20 minutes or less..lol |
