Lately whenever I try to post, I get a message that my user name or password is invalid. But if I click on the preview/post button a second time, it goes through. Why is that?

So it's not just me huh? No idea. I could figure it out, but then I just click again and it works. : )

Ratbuell PMed me the other day about that happening too, I assumed it was something like a password manager interfering.

I personally have not experienced this event on any of my devices.

Perhaps some cookie setting?
Does it do it with a different browser?

Chrome for me. I thought Chrome had cached the wrong password on one of the intermediate pages (like post instead of preview), but I don't think that's it.

I've had to enter my user name & password for a couple of years in order to post.

Using Opera 12.17

I had that same problem about a year or so back for a while. It was only happening on Firefox for me. I have no idea why. Works fine for me now though.

Chrome on my laptop (Win7), and on my Android.

Laptop...error, click again, works.

Android...no error.

Well the PC and the android both run Chrome...so it's not a "browser thing"....

It does it to me if I use Chrome. I'm posting this on Explorer, and everything's working fine.

and the ultimate irony...

I posted to the "rant #77" thread, and had to double-post.

THIS thread?

That last post worked fine.

Ratbuell, trying using IE or Firefox to see if it is still doing it.

I don't like Chrome, but I made a few posts today with it and still have not had it happen

I avoid IE whenever possible...haven't used firefox yet.

I miss Netscape...

I'm oversimplifying, but Firefox IS Netscape : )

The newer versions of IE are pretty sweet, they fixed all the performance and reliability issues. Using Chrome feels like a downgrade these days with its bugs, instability, and security issues.

I have had more security issues with IE...

And I know Firefox "is" netscape...but it doesn't seem the support is there? Or am I not finding it properly?

All I know is...Badweb used to work on Chrome. Now it doesn't (sometimes). Or...it does (sometimes).

I have enough instability in my life. Please don't add to it! ; )

SeaMonkey was the bee's knees...

I haven't had any issues with Chrome whatsoever. I've pretty much stopped using any other browser except when I find that one website that requires IE.
