Fred:

Welcome back!

Hey . . . during your failed "never coming back" absence your guy got his dick in the wringer and got caught out and out lying.

Yeah . . . it's bad.

Even one of his staunchest journalistic pals turned on him today.

The guy is a tucking idiot.

Of course like so many historical measurements, pResident BO has changed how metrics are calculated making it impossible to compare to prior history.

U.S. Government's New Way Of Calculating GDP,

quote:

In March 2013, the U.S. government invented a new way of calculating GDP. The Financial Times reported that starting from July 2013, U.S. GDP would become 3% bigger due to a change in statistics.

So in reality, we are in what would normally be considered a recession, or depression. That seems to fit with other news of the nation.

To be fair previous administrations also used the same large scale rules to calculate the "unemployment" number as a percentage. When you no longer are working through your State Employment office, you don't count.

Frequent changes in how the lower scale numbers are figured makes year to year comparison inaccurate. You have to look at a few numbers like total population and the U6 etc. and figure out if the trends are real or artificial.

Bottom line it's been downhill since Pelosi took the gavel in congress.

Listen here Curt. Are things really that bad for you? It sounds like you're making serious dough. What's the source of your depression.

This month in Analog magazine M Flynn has a great article. "Spanking bad data won't make them behave"

If you don't have a background in statistics it's a good article to introduce you to some of the errors in figuring this stuff out. No hard math easy read.

Fred:

Let me be clear . . . . he's a complete and total unmitigated disaster. Our government is being used as a tool against it's people, the IRS is being armed, folks who "have done nothing wrong" have 9 high paid (at our expense) attorney negotiating "immunity" while the normal American sits hopelessly shaking their head trying to figure out what a perfectly innocent person needs immunity. Seems like the big guy, while the United States Ambassador was being tortured, sodomized and slowly killed over a period of 4 hours . . . didn't even make it to the WHSR where others, now coming out against him, watched in horror and amazement as rescue attempts were dismissed to support the stupid "we have Al-Queda on the run" assertion. Typical for an idiot from the hood in Chicago.

The guys is incompetent, dishonest, intellectually and politically unfit to serve the good folks of the United States. I laugh when they talk about "Editor of the Harvard Law Review" . . yeah, the ONLY Editor who NEVER wrote a law review. He was a looser student at Columbia (I know that for fact) and I suspect he was a Harvard.

By the way . . . you must be a democrat . . .you gave yourself way with the link between dough and depression. Can you explain to me why "dough" has anything to do with one's emotional state?

I'll share with you something I often shared with my sons' while they were growing up . . . . "anytime you think money will solve a problem, you don't fully understand the problem".

The foolishness of linking personal wealth to emotional state (wonder how that would work with Soros?) is a crutch for the small mind . . . it's an easy escape when you can dismiss someone because that have "dough".

I've been around a while. My close friends include a great guy struggling on public assistance trying to find work to a gal who bought her husband a $25M Falcon 50D last year for his birthday. In my PERSONAL opinion any link between dough and character is without merit.

You need to think more, parrot less.

But . . it's refreshing to have you back after "leaving for good" . . . it reminds me to never put much stock in the assertions of those lacking character and personal direction.

Welcome back.

Now get busy explaining what this frickin' idiot is doing . . . Jay Carney is falling on his face trying.

I think what FastFred was trying to say, and as his Messiah so eloquently put it, is " – look, if you've been successful, you didn't get there on your own. I'm always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something – there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. If you were successful, . . . you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."

So quityerbitchin' and give credit where credit is due. All the accomplishments you've had prior to ever hearing about Barack Hussein Obama are inconsequential. It's only under his guidance, generosity, economic policies and superior leadership that you've done as well as you have.

Because happy proles are not easily incited to violence by hatred. The O Admin. must keep them ready to counter any impeachment attempt. For the Children.

Then there's the simple fact that no matter what Rush Limbaugh says, people on welfare get just enough, maybe. Sure the average person on the dole in the US is richer than many professionals in the third world, but they don't see those people, they see the middle class ( shrinking though it is,) and the US average worker is much better off than they are.

They DON'T see Obama's vacations. They don't get that Barry has spent more on one game of golf than they will ever get on welfare. In their whole lives.

When one subsidizes something, one only gets more of that something. This is a trait of human nature which politicians of all stripes recognize and pander to. Fifty years of the War on Poverty has only produced more poverty and weakened the Middle Class. The poor should be taken care of by private charity and the Church. The government should only provide limited and specific assistance in extreme cases where the individual truly has no recourse. Notice that no grannies are being thrown over the cliff in any of my remarks.

We are truly adrift as a nation and it is finally showing. I am afraid our country is about to accelerate into overt tyranny as symptomatic outbursts have recently occurred and especially with the Fool Occupying Our White House. We can become vibrant again but Americans simply have to wake up and recognize the peril that we are in.

garryb,

Welcome back. You can do better, Gary.

Your first link misses the point. Obama must be held accountable for Benghazi because of the cover up of the attack. There is now a cover up of the cover up.

Your second link only lists the cumulative vacation days of John Adams and George Bush. It also suggests that Obama and family have only vacationed in New England. This article is disingenuous. Michelle tends to take extremely expensive vacations without her husband. Bush tended to vacation at his ranch which is relatively inexpensive.

I thought 879 vacation days was an impressive number compared to Obamas.

Here's another article with more info:

I think history will consider the war in Iraq all based on faulty intelligence and lies, to be much more significant than Benghazi.

Plus, it was Obama who killed Bin laden.

After all the Iraq war casualties, Bush never got close.

Not to mention that Bush used his ranch to entertain foreign leaders on many occasions. That's pretty fiscally conservative.

Bush's ranch serves down-home diplomacy

quote:

CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) — President Bush has turned his remote ranch into a stage for down-home diplomacy, where a barbecue grill and a pickup truck have become his favorite tools for dealing with world leaders.

I wonder how many of his Crawford "vacations" involved foreign diplomacy?

Bush worked from home. Those weren't vacations. Obama does the same. Big deal. The president is never out of pocket, regardless of location.

Poor Scooter. When the Prosecutor knew all along that the guilty party was Armitage. Over at State.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valerie_Plame_Wilson

Clinton decided to let Bin Laden go unharmed, than sent his minion to steal that info from the National Archives.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Berger

"Obama's" casualties in Afghanistan now exceed "Bush's" in Iraq and Afghanistan.

No one had a celebration at NBC when Obama's dead went over 2000. They sure did when Bush's did.

The reporting of the actions of the 2 men isn't even in the same galaxy.

So far, all you've done is show that Adams may be much smarter that Bush & Obama combined. In the era before central air, no one in his right mind wanted to be in D.C. in summer.

as to Iraq, I'm the first to say the occupation was botched. as to lies....

Given the intel told us by Hillary Clinton, how could we not believe that Saddam was just waiting for her husband's sanctions to end so he could resume his chemical warfare program? She was adamant. Also during the Clinton presidency the UN tagged and counted over 10,000 tons of chemical agents. Darn UN.

While I'm at it, I hear Obama isn't as good a golfer as Dwight Eisenhower.
