So even as the government continues it's refusal to be forthcoming in the investigation of the IRS scandal, they continue to use the IRS against their political enemies. Doubleplusnotgood! Ron Paul group to defy IRS

Sadly, this IS the platform that our Democrat fellow travelers are building. Sad, but sometimes effective in a Machiavellian way. This is bad for America.

Makes ya want to jump up and start a business, don't it? Are you folks on the Left waking up yet? This Fifth Branch of Government is slowly destroying the American economy but at least its all fair. Obama's political philosophy is mostly to blame for this. Regulator Without Peer By at least one measure, Obama surpasses all of his predecessors. April 16, 2014 7:16 p.m. ET Anyone wondering why the U.S. economy can't seem to grow at its usual pace should examine one product category where production is booming: federal regulation. Washington set a new record in 2013 by issuing final rules consuming 26,417 pages in the Federal Register. While plenty of government employees deserve credit for this milestone, leadership matters. And by this measure President Obama has never been surpassed in the Oval Office. The latest rule-making tally comes from the Competitive Enterprise Institute's Wayne Crews, who on April 29 will publish his annual review of federal regulation in "Ten Thousand Commandments." This is important work because politicians and the media treat regulation as a largely cost-free public good. Mr. Crews knows better. Congress may be mired in gridlock, but the federal bureaucracy is busier than ever. In 2013 the Federal Register contained 3,659 "final" rules, which means they now must be obeyed, and 2,594 proposed rules on their way to becoming orders from political headquarters. The Federal Register finished 2013 at 79,311 pages, the fourth highest total in history. That didn't match President Obama's 2010 all-time record of 81,405 pages. But Mr. Obama can console himself by noting that of the five highest Federal Register page counts, four have occurred on his watch. The other was 79,435 pages under President George W. Bush in 2008. And the feds aren't letting up. Mr. Crews reports that there are another 3,305 regulations moving through the pipeline on their way to being imposed. One hundred and ninety-one of those are "economically significant" rules, which are defined as having costs of at least $100 million a year. Keep in mind that the feds routinely low-ball their cost estimates so the public will continue to think regulation is free. Drawing largely on government statistics, Mr. Crews estimates that the overall cost of regulatory compliance and its economic impact is about $1.9 trillion annually. This means that the burden of complying with federal rules costs roughly the annual GDP of Australia, Canada or Italy. This regulatory tax makes U.S. businesses less competitive, but it also burdens every American because it is embedded in the prices of all goods and services. Mr. Crews estimates that "U.S. households 'pay' $14,974 annually in regulatory hidden tax," or 23% of the average income of $65,596. All of this is the fruit of ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank, and the manifold other expansions of government that have marked the Obama years. By far their greatest and most tragic cost has been slower economic growth, which has meant fewer jobs, lower incomes and diminished economic possibilities for tens of millions of Americans. source: http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB100014240527 02304311204579505953682216682?mg=reno64-wsj&url=ht tp%3A%2F%2Fonline.wsj.com%2Farticle%2FSB1000142405 2702304311204579505953682216682.html |

Hahahaha . . . it's personal now. I had been contracted to speak at a major event in the midwest. I was deeply into writing, had provided the abstract, bio, gotten a fresh head shot and sent it and was raring to knock 'em dead. Yesterday I get an e-mail that "we are sorry to tell you that we have been contacted by The White House and Michelle Obama's office has indicated she wants to speak at the event". They sent me the most uncomfortable feeling apology . . promising to invite me back later, offering me a seat on the stage and telling me that they are considering having me introduce the First Lady (no thanks). So . . . subject to how they handle various reimbursements . . . it looks like she cost me an $821 airline ticket. :-) Grrrrrr Actually works out well as there is an EBR event that weekend that I was kind sorry to have to miss. If I get a note that Mochelle is showing up on an RX . . I'll REALLY be pissed. |

you mean this Court... Michelle Obama wreaks havoc across Topeka with last-minute decision to speak at graduation 8:38 AM 04/19/2014 Michelle Obama is rested, ready and screwing up a bunch of ordinary people’s lives again. Fresh off a luxurious vacation to China (which was fresh off a long vacation at Oprah’s Maui home), the first lady has threatened hassle and hardship upon hundreds of students and their families in Topeka, Kan. with a last-minute announcement of her intention to speak at a combined graduation ceremony for the city’s five public high schools. School district officials deserve just as much blame for the developing fiasco—possibly more. They invited Obama to speak at the May 17 graduation back in December, reports The Topeka Capital-Journal. The reason for the invitation is the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case that declared separate-but-equal public education unconstitutional. “It really is a historical day,” Topeka school superintendent Julie Ford said when she announced the exciting news on Thursday. “We couldn’t be more happy.” Turns out, though, a large number of students and their families were far happier before the announcement, which will necessitate the combined graduation and move it to the Kansas Expocentre, a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena. The new graduation venue will severely limit the number of family members and friends who can attend the mass commencement. (It should also make for a staggeringly longer ceremony.) Normally, graduating seniors across Topeka’s five high schools can invite anyone they want to their big days. It’s not a bidg deal. However, this year promises to be much different. Worried parents who called the district said they learned each student would receive a mere four tickets each. Topeka High senior Taylor Gifford told the Capital-Journal she was “absolutely thrilled” when she first learned Obama would speak. “I mean, it’s the first lady,” she said. Excitement soon turned to despair, though, when Gifford realized the price of the speech would be a drastic reduction in the number of guests she could bring. “I’m the oldest of eight,” the senior lamented, adding that she hoped to see family friends at the event in addition to her nuclear family members. “These are people that have watched me grow up and become the person I am,” Gifford said. Topeka mother Tina Hernandez expressed similar disappointment. “This is not fair,” the hardworking single mothe told the Journal. “My son is more important than Michelle Obama.” Hernandez said she has already sunk hundreds of dollars into announcements which will be wrong. “You look forward to this day,” the irate mom said. “You can bring the president and it doesn’t matter. This is my son’s day.” Tags: Michelle Obama, Topeka You may as well stay in NYC, Court. It appears the old homestead POL'S listen about as well (Message edited by two_seasons on April 19, 2014) |

Aside from her politics, I kinda like Michelle. We degrade ourselves by being less than respectful. Some mean-spirited derogatory commentary can come across as racist. If we stick to the actual issues, we can avoid appearing either mean or racist. |

We degrade ourselves by being less than respectful. What does she do when she goes to China and her entourage generally PO's the staff of China's premier hotel? The WH staff complain about her.... Why are we paying for Monthly vaca's around the world? for her and whom ever she cares to take ? and a staff of 70?? We did not elect HER to office..... In that money is tight and she spends with abandon, I feel the people of the US are being disrespected... I am totally sympathetic to the families that are having their children's graduations disrupted, because some one at the school board wanted some national attention.. Obama has done more to hurt race relations than almost any one (except AL Sharpton) Further NO thought given to the effect of her attendance of the ceremony, The students of those schools got disrespected they were not given a choice, this is being forced on them... good judgment would have been a taped personal message by the FL addressing them or Even better a live video feed from the WH perhaps a cameo by barry ... ALL of that is doable and would not disrupt the graduations for these fine young people. I don't like either one of them color is not a factor elitists suck... Sorry you may feel I am being rude but The truth is this case stands..... } |

There is a growing sense that we are not real to the Aristocrats in the White House except as we can serve as props in their Movie. Or maybe that's just my misguided perspective. I could well be wrong. After all, Michelle is a very toned woman and works hard to prevent Obesity among our starving children. "Let them eat kale". |

Michelle is the spouse of the hired help no more no less. All of the people in government are hired help all that varies is the method of selection. She has no respect for her position and none for the people who's money she spends on her personal pleasure! If she traveled the world in service of the country and its people it would be different. She has no respect for the country and its people. She stated she was ashamed of her country till Barry was elected. The final straw was when she was heard to say all this for a flag! She and Hubby do not want to serve the country but want to rule it. Americans do not suffer fools or despots! OURDEE start the count down to Barry be gone day! |

Even Obama is pissing on fellow Democrats to saddle up with his billionaire boyfriends. The unions are calling their fallen Messiah "gutless" (reference available upon request). Face it, that oil is going to be burned one way or the other. Either efficient burning in the United States or uncontrolled burning in China. Liberals, or whatever they call themselves this morning, are stupid....or worse. Let's work together this November so we can impeach AND convict this piece of offal in January.
