I considered the 1125 to be a water-cooled victory. |

On the EBR dragbike. It's about time. Several top teams in NHRA have been quite successfully campaigning them for years badged as "Buell". Same bike, different body work, Star Racing design (George Brice is brilliant, I have known him for years). The only true similarities between a "Buell" or "EBR" and the bike pictured are they are motorcycles, are fuel injected, and run on gasoline. The engine is a 160 cubic inch S&S motor with cartridge transmission. George and company once owned ProStock with Suzuki GS1150 based engines with riders like Angelle and the Late Johnny Myers. With the demise of the classic air cooled motors, and the huge V-twin following (along with the associated profit potential), he teamed up with the very best in the industry to create new opportunity. So today, it is the "Harley" vs "Buell" and now possibly "EBR" with a smattering of "Suzuki" teams. And same as the "Buell", the "Harley" and "Suzuki" relate to anything in production in the manner that Nascar rides differ from production vehicles. So if you like dragracing, cheer on the "EBR", but be quick, it is all over in well under 7 seconds. |

I thought that rumor had it that the Road Glide (absent this year) was going to be re-introduced with the V-Rod engine; making it a water cooled cruiser. I also wonder if Victory will be more successful than HD has been with its V-Rod. Also hope they don't think the key to that success is to go low, black, forward controls and a steamroller-size tire on the rear (maybe keep Ness away from it). |

I'm back in Arizona now and went to a Victory demo weekend before last. Got to ride 5 different bikes. Victory is doing a lot of stuff right. I rode: Highball - liked everything but the higher handle bars. It was stupid crazy fast. Cross Country with tour pack - My favorite of the group. Felt steady at 90 mph and easy to ride at low speeds. I want one. Vision - rode great but more wind on my body that I was expecting. Hammer - Huge rear tire and medium/small front tire. Felt every pebble in the road and was hard to manuver. No thanks. Cross Country without the tour pack. Same handling, steadiness and power. Just a bit more wind on the body. If these bikes are an example of what Victory can do, I suspect any liquid cooled mill they come up with will be extremely good. |

I often though if HD took the CR version of the Vrod and made it a full bagger, it would sell great but only if it was sold at non HD dealers. |
