This slow jam pResident is an utter embarrassment. Do you lurking Liberals finally understand what many have been saying on this thread? It is only going to get worse unless we restore the Constitution of the United States of America and unleash freedom by developing our energy resources and lifting the crushing burden on the private sector. This Community Organizer is NOTHING but a Socialist determined to destroy the Middle Class in the name of "fairness".

I heard that CNN actually broke into their 7/24 coverage of the missing airplane to announce Obama's NCAA brackets. Obama vacationed and played golf in Florida last week as the world comes closer to World War.

What an unmitigated embarrassment this Community Organizer is. Saul Alinsky would be proud.

Hello - to 'wag the dog' moment.

I would hate to see Obama spend the next two and a half years just counting healthcare.gov sign-ups. He needs to recognize that Putin’s Crimea adventure has created the opportunity for a legacy project of moving America into a clean energy future — a move that would make us stronger, Putin weaker and the world safer.

I thought Barack made it NASA's job to make Muslims feel better about the advances in science given to us by Muslims?

Since that crap stopped in the 14th century, I suppose NASA is still doing it's previous job, providing excuses for authoritarian rule based on fake science.

Gee, I miss the old days when NASA had something to do with space travel.

Meteors- Nature's way of saying "How's that space program coming?"

When Nixon committed far less crimes, Republicans joined Democrats to force him to resign. Where are the Democrats when they need to join the Republicans to halt the shredding of the Constitution of the United States of America? Where? Show these bums the door in November.

Dear NASA,

Please get your head out of your ass and start looking at exploring space. This way, when the Chinese, Soviet, and Muslim empires expand enough and are scrapping over Europe, we Americans can populate Mars, leaving Earth to decay into a cesspool of poverty, fascism, and martial law, all of which are counterintuitive to American values. Thank you kindly.

NASA has provided America (and hence the rest of the world) with a lot of priceless innovations. I don't know if it got too big for it's own britches, or if it got clamped down by budget restrictions. But it seems like the free market is doing what a government system is now failing to do. Look out Government, Americans are coming through, and we don't give a damn about any agenda except a select few - chief of which is the good ol' American greenback. Don't worry, hollow figureheads, the private sector is here to do what you cannot.

Space X is leading the way. Others will follow.

Usually the person crying racism is a racist.

excerpts from Racist Rangel

quote:

New York Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel casually dismissed those who identify with the Tea Party as “mean, racist people,” compared red states to the Confederacy and wondered why President Barack Obama would ever try to work with Republicans — all in under two minutes.

quote:

“They are mean, racist people,” he declared, jabbing his finger forward. “Now why do I say that? Because in those red states, they’re the same slave-holding states! They had the Confederate flag. They became Dixiecrats, they had the Confederate flag. They’re now Tea Party, they STILL got the Confederate flag!”

Let me toss this idea up in here.

Toyota, an American sweetheart super corporation, has just been fined a Billion dollars for gas pedals sticking that occasionally kill people. An unheard of record fine for any corporation.

Ya 'spose this was a way for Japan to throw in a Billion dollar cash favor to BO just in time for him to give it to Putin?

While I'm at it GM screwed the pooch with their ignition switches doing the same. If they don't get fined similarly, does that not lend credence to my theory above?

It could be a conspiracy of the highest global levels involving money laundering of insane amounts.

While this is written pretty much with the second amendment in mind, and could easily be on the Second Amendment thread, what is being said, IMO, applies to many facets of what is going on in our once great country. Consider for yourselves.

Random Thoughts About the Two Americas

quote:

There are now two Americas. The first features high taxes, heavy regulations and massive government expenditure. The second has relatively lower taxes, fewer burdensome regulations and more limited government. “Right to work” America (e.g., Georgia) is growing more prosperous while rolling back gun control regulations. Nanny State America (e.g. New Jersey) is sinking under the weight of its bloated bureaucracy, placing new restrictions on its citizens’ natural, civil and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms. As poet William Butler Yeats wrote in The Second Coming . . .

“Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold.” Many gun owners see this dangerous dichotomy in bold relief. They know that America cannot be two things at once: a country where the government’s endless pursuit of “reasonable regulations” makes a mockery of citizens’ Constitutional rights and a country where individual freedoms are, as they should be, sacrosanct. Hence rumblings about Civil War 2.0.

There are gun rights advocates who echo Thomas Jefferson’s admonition that “the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” But the vast majority of liberty-loving gun guys and gals are peace-loving patriots who abhor armed conflict. They want the increasingly obvious two Americas situation to be resolved without bloodshed.

Many place their faith in the federal court system. They believe that the ongoing courtroom crusade to strike down draconian gun control legislation will lead to a Supreme Court victory that will force the states’ statists to return to the Founding Fathers’ Constitutional construct. The recent decision by the Ninth Circuit Court to strike down California’s and Hawaii’s may-issue [non] permitting process gives them cause to hope.

Other gun rights advocates would like to see the two Americas reconciled at the ballot box. They reckon that if a sufficient number of anti-gun, big government Democrats can be booted out of office, these political proponents of civilian disarmament command and control can be stopped in their tracks and their gun control legislation rescinded. The recent recall of pro-gun control pols in Colorado gives them cause to hope.

In both cases, their hopes are destined to remain unrealized.

History tells us that the courts will not offer the relief gun rights advocates seek. The McDonald decision – a limited and Pyrrhic victory that opened the door to unreasonable “reasonable regulations” – indicates that the Supreme Court will not make huge leaps towards firearms freedom. This quote from Federal District Court Judge Alfred Covello upholding Connecticut’s patently unconstitutional post-Newtown gun laws tells you all you need to know about courts operating in gun averse states:

“The court concludes that the legislation is constitutional . . . While the act burdens the plaintiffs’ Second Amendment rights, it is substantially related to the important governmental interest of public safety and crime control.”

Nor will pro-gun activism at the ballot box “reunite” the two Americas. Polls show that residents in states with “tough” gun laws support civilian disarmament by an overwhelming margin. Back in September 2013, a Rutgers – Eagelton poll found that 70 percent of respondents favored a measure requiring that firearms purchase permits be recorded on driver licenses. The Garden State’s latest assault on citizens’ gun rights – an ammunition magazine capacity law – sailed through the legislature.

More worrying still: the federal government is closerthanthis with the part of the country that sees nothing wrong with government intervention in all things. Should another nanny state statist capture the presidency (e.g., Hillary Clinton), should that CIC find support in Congress or end-run the legislature through executive orders, the feds will continue to consolidate and increase governmental power (i.e., erode gun rights and curtail liberty).

Even in the best case scenario – the country elects a [small "c"] conservative president to work with a Republican led House and Senate – he or she will not be able to “make” pro-gun control states abandon their civilian disarmament agenda. Anti-gun America will continue down the path of curtailed firearms freedom unmolested by court edict or [small 'd'] democratic blowback.

In short, the gulf between the two Americas will widen. The question: how, when and where will the actual fracture occur? Right now the vast majority of Americans are blissfully ignorant of the divide. Until their lives are affected in some dramatic, personal way, they will continue to pursue happiness in condition white.

In that sense, American gun owners are the canary in the coal mine. They are awake and alert to the danger posed by the statist states, and they’re chirping like crazy. The mine owners couldn’t give a damn. The workers busy hollowing out the Constitution are completely oblivious to the stench of tyranny. When the proverbial shaft collapses in some spectacular way, then they’ll pay attention.

What then? What rough beast, its hour come round at last, will slouch towards Bethlehem to be born? God knows. But the more people who are armed against it, the better.

If you watch news outfits like CNN and MSNBC you are un-informed, mis-informed, or just plain foolsih. The both are a waste of time.

More effing BS paranoid rhetoric from Aesquire. Do you even read your own posts??? I clicked on your link about QE but it's got nothing to do about Obama. The article is about the discrepency between rich and poor people since 2008. The rich are getting wealthier and the poor aren't. It's about investing in the stock market and the quantitative easing by the Fed which has aided the stock market. We are talking about Ben Bernake here, not Obama. Why is this a worthy post?

While the Fed isn't under direct control of the POTUS, they seldom set their policy without trying to work with the administrations policies. They certainly were in agreement for the past five years under BO. There has not been a peep from BO about the Fed needing a different policy, other than the occasional claim that we needed more of this policy.

The part about the income gap is telling though. It's been a gift to the wealthy, while actually hurting the poor. This is a result of policies that originate with BO, blessed by the entire Democrat party. This is the reality of their policies in action. Predicted by conservatives during BO's first election BTW. They may claim to represent the common and poor people of America, but they benefit the wealthy who paid their way in.

Oh, and it GWB's fault.

..."The article is about the discrepancy between rich and poor people since 2008. The rich are getting wealthier and the poor aren't."...

Think about this... If you had a large amount of money to invest with all the uncertainties of Obamacare, taxes, government regulations and the EPA would you want to risk investing in a business that would employ people?

Right now that money is going into stocks, bonds etc., to preserve it until the outlook for investment in business investment (read good jobs for the poor and middle class) is more promising.

And that Mr. Lake is why the gap between the "rich and poor" will continue to grow until the government gets out of the way.
