It. . . .embarrassingly enough . . . was "real".

The White House gave a statement yesterday indicating they can no longer rely on "traditional" media to "get the message out".

It's a sad state when the message is so comical that it requires a comedian, actually a pair of them, for delivery.

Aww come on, he's the Prez, he's just one of the guys shootin the shot with another cool dood.

Doesn't it make you feel all warm & cosy that you have such a cool president?

I thought it was funny. I think it's a little pathetic that he has to sell ACA, and has reduced himself, and the office of the president, to this.

>>>No it's not real but I thought it was humorous

That's inaccurate.

It is BOTH true and embarrasing.

quote:

The White House is defending President Obama's snarky appearance on comedian Zach Galifianakis’ mock-interview show “Between Two Ferns," touting it as a creative, effective way to promote ObamaCare to young adults.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney claimed Tuesday that the video was the "number one referral" to HealthCare.gov the morning it was released online. He said he believes the "viral" video will be a big factor in getting young people to visit the website and explore coverage.

Asked whether Obama's appearance on the "show" was beneath the office of the president, Carney said he did not think so, saying "we made the right call here."

By the way . . . . I think it's funny as can be and an indicator of how in the dump this entire "Obamacare" debacle is.

Well, I meant not real in the sense that the interview was staged and meant to be funny. I still don't like Obama nor Obamacare.

>>>>meant to be funny.

Inaccurate again.

It WAS funny . . . . .and they knew it would be going in . . . but he was not there to lend support to a comedian . . . . he's simply run out of folks to listen who'll buy into that line of crap without asking lots of embarrassing questions.

But . . . idiots work neither in a vacuum nor alone. Kathy Sibelius, my old pal from Kansas, seems to have forgotten who said "7,000,00 is the critical number of enrollments by the end of March 2014".

http://hotair.com/archives/2014/02/25/todays-big-o bamacare-lie-sebelius-claims-she-never-set-a-goal- of-seven-million-sign-ups/

The nice thing is that when you have a crowd of frickin' idiots they kind of meld together.

for you youngin's out there
google Max Headroom

What is real ?
In a state controlled and sponsored media - it is whatever they tell you it is.

PS - yes, I knew it was fake, but they did a great job with the edits; I remember seeing some of those outakes from their original sources

Just because I don't have a TV doesn't mean I am not watching what he is up to and been doing - and the message this admin spools out.

I still think Gandalfini would be funny - a fake thug with a fake gangster

My favorite part about watching this video is when my 6yr old son looked at me and said "Dad, that's not the real President, right?" After telling him that it is he responded by saying "the President shouldn't be doing stuff like this."

The wisdom of children.

There was a time when we, as a nation, embraced higher standards for both the office and those who held it.

If you can't lead . . . you, in this day and age, entertain.

Bill Clinton could play sax on tv and it was cool.
Bill was able to project an ease with people, seem like a nice fellow to have a beer with no matter your life style or economic condition.
Barack can turn that on for a while too. You believe he enjoys saying hey and getting a burger. The isolation of the office is straining that touch imho. The "I am smarter & better than you" vibe seems more pronounced now. The rage underneath a little closer to the surface.

He lacks Bill's ease with self depreciating humor. I attribute that to the wife. Bill could joke and then say "the wife is going to be mad at me for that". With the attitude of a guy who knows the lamp will get thrown just like last time and the time before. A bit of amused resignation. Barack......... it feels like he is not getting any for a week and that's happening more often and he has issues with it. Or perhaps he just reads his jokes bad.
