he REAL storm clouds that we need to discuss hang over Connecticut.

You got that right......

IF the Government tools attempt to take the guns by force violence will result, and the elected dolt that proposed that the gun owners need help needs to have his door kicked in by an armed assailant and have his rightful property taken by force, on the order of a tyrant....

then we can check his mental health.
Most gun owners I KNOW are calm well adjusted law abiding citizens who wish to quietly go about their business,

The Daily Mail treaty yarn doesn't hold. Ukraine's deposed president, Viktor Yanukovych, invited Russia to protect the ELECTED government.

As for the treaty itself. Nothing more than a smoke screen giving the West a foot hold into Ukraine, as and when that day might come. It's here now peeps, and it won't fool Putin. He is not about to step off the gas anytime soon.

This will be a laugh watching our two dumb Western leaders with egg on their faces back tracking. Unless of course they want to stick around for WW 3. Oh what fun. And we elected these fhukwits?

Xdigitalx, the "vomit quote" came from this link.

http://rt.com/op-edge/ukraine-putin-obama-crimea-4 61/

The Author, "Robert Bridge" is the one we doubt understands the US, even though he's written a "book" ( available in pdf format ) that I have not read yet. Or may ever. Some screed on the death of American Empire, and megacorps ruling us all.

While I don't want an American Empire, ( we suck at Empire, because we are not inherently one, and our system is anti-Imperial by nature ) and probably would agree that the #5 or so threat to humanity is Giant multinational Corps, ( after the 2 1/2 religious cults threatening mankind, meteor strikes, and people who believe that guy on tv can talk to their dead relatives ) I'm either missing some code book for his crap, or he's a Commie stooge. But I could be wrong. He, I bet, cannot be. Ever. Ask him. ( you know, like the Troll )

.000067277 percent. That the percentage of concealed carry permit holders commit firearms crimes. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/03/03/0000672 -percent-why-concealed-carry-permit-holders-will-w ant-to-hear-about-such-a-small-number-from-a-forme r-navy-seal/ That's pretty much zero. That is likely to change when the law becomes tyrannical. We are very close to that IMO.

The author confused (and later corrected) his stats... it is .000067277, or .0067277%.

Doesn't change the point though.

"Just for amusement sake.......

Hey! FF! what is YOUR opinion on what's going on in the Ukraine?

start the pool on if he responds with

1. stock Soviet propaganda
2. refuses to answer because we are not worthy
3. tries to deflect the conversation with an irrelevant attack on Obama's enemies, that will 90% be a lie
4. tells us he won't and will never come back. ( for about 20 minutes )
5. ( LONG SHOT ) actually answers.

Since that is so unlikely I'll let someone else waste their time with the pool for the sanity or honesty of his answer.... if any."

Sorry I didn't return an answer more promptly. True Detective is much more important and then I went to bed.
For your amusement, I'm very sentimental about past geo-political borders. Imagine Alaska (and Sarah Palin) returned to Russia, Texas returned to Mexico, and the whole Louisiana Purchase given back to France (for the original purchase price). Most of the dissension would be gone and the country would be much more manageable.

Oh yeah, Russia should keep Crimea since the people are mostly Russian.

Six political entities have ruled Texas over the years, including France, and Texas itself. The US is just the latest. So to return Texas to Mexico, we'd have to first return it to Texas. Texas can decide where to go from there.

Great idea FF! I have a feeling many states would happily join us. We'll form the United States of America, and only allow states that affirm the US Constitution to join us. The other states can reform as whatever socialist/communist dictatorship they wish. The People's Democratic Republic of America, perhaps.

In the interest of a serious discussion, I'll ignore that last comment. You see, since threads like this are here for our amusement and entertainment and are essentially a game of wits, calling people names is like throwing your cards in. You lose. So sit back, relax, put your feet up, crack open a beer and enjoy the fun.
By the way, I don't think it's necessary to return that far back in history. After all, who wants to march with Genghis Khan.

With the reduction in the military......we will not. Can not.

With the expansion of the domestic paramilitary forces to suppress citizen rights like free speech........ the IRS in charge of mental health care?

There's a Reason they do not teach history. Especially the history of the left and how mental health is used to silence critics.

Just out of curiosity Court what do you think George Bush would do in the same situation? Considering the situation, how would republicans deal with this situation any differently? I seem to recall George W. Bush being particularily ineffectual when Putin's Russia invaded Georgia.

"Initially the Bush Administration considered a military response to defend Georgia, but such an intervention was ruled out due to the inevitable conflict it would lead to with Russia. Instead, Bush opted for a softer option by sending humanitarian supplies to Georgia by military, rather than civilian, aircraft."

It's too bad that people on this board use it for the politicalization of their own personal agenda's. It seems to me we should all unite in the common concern for the people of Ukraine as they struggle to get past political corruption and forward towards a better democracy.

Most ( but to be fair not all ) of the politicalization here was started by the parrot. I did start out admitting I was biased. And that we should seek truth not rancor.

As to how a former Prez who freed 5000000 from tyranny in 2 countries yet failed to free Iran would handle this?

Given the same actions in Kiev & Moscow probably humanitarian aid and useless rhetoric. He'd be classier at it imho ( you may disagree ) but there's limits to talk.

My opinion on Barry does not change that it is important to know what the frack is going on. The truth. Or as close as we can get.

I am less interested in the US response than in finding out who the players are and what's going to happen.

Wrong.

O'bama, Biden and Kerry are friction' garden variety amateurs at this stuff.

Obama is at utter embarrassment. He is no leader and is clueless on the world stage. He's been a laughing stock since the day he took office.

Fortunately for all . . . he spent most the day, proclaiming further delays to the implementation of "Obama-care"".

Frankly . . the "It's Bush's fault" thing has been worn out and makes folks appear sophomoric.

Court.

I have an opinion and its not wrong. It's my opinion. It might be different from yours but it's not a wrong opinion. So I would appreciate it if you keep your opinion to yourself.

I am here for enlightenment Court. I asked you what George Bush would have done or could have done differently if he was president in regards to the situation in the Ukraine. I noted that George Bush's response to the Russian invasion of Georgia was rather limited. If he was president today I would imagine his response in Ukraine would be limited also.

It's funny that you mention Obama, Biden and Kerry as garden variety amateurs at international politics. I would hasten to guess that the 6 Trillion dollar interventions of Bush, Cheney and Rumsfield in Iraq and Afghanistan was a better illustration of great statesmanship.

I would really like for you to enlighten me here Court, why a democrat in presidential office makes this any worse for the people of Ukraine. It would appear to me that any american administration would be hard pressed to assist in Ukraine beyond the political efforts made already, regardless of political bent.

Maybe you know something I don't Court. Please educate me on what the proper american response should be to the Russian presence in Ukraine.
