No, gravity is something I can experience on a daily basis. Macro evolution, however, I don't believe has ever been observed, only postulated, and then stated as fact. The theory of macroevolution is offensive in that it discredits God's handywork, and attributes it to chance(s, a LOT of them). The whole thing of chaos-to-order, and the "anti-semetic" fervor that scientists have against creation, is ridiculous, but off topic, so I won't elaborate here. |

I failed to make clear that everything from Do I cry to the town about them?..... I am in complete agreement with. oops. Evolution, as a "science" seems to be transitioning from the mostly philosophical "sure looks that way & it makes sense" stage based on observations, towards some understanding of the mechanism of how species change & how different species develop. But it's still a very young "science" and still mired in it's roots of 19th century clockwork world where you put everything into boxes mentality. Biology of the age that "On the Origin of Species" sorted stuff. Plants for example, were sorted by shape of leaves and subdivided by number of lobes, smooth or serrated, etc. etc. etc. ad infinitum ad nauseum. Mostly worked, but now a lot of that is being re-written because we can begin to read the genes and know that plants formerly though to be unrelated actually are, and vice versa ( ad nauseum ) The intense desire to put things in little boxes on the flow chart is still there, and, mostly still works, across the board in "Science"! The only reason I expound on this is "political science" is still in large part in the philosophical stage. There is no real science of "Psychodynamics" that accurately predicts human behavior, and more important, the why. There are a lot of folk working on that, and have been for years. The US Constitutional Republic is one example of an experiment in applied science, and I rather like the concept to this day. Limit the power of those who would abuse it and maximum freedom for the individual. Another is the Soviet Union + China and the Marxist/Leninist/Maoist concepts used to Rule a huge number of people by a tiny few. Diametrically opposed world views using very different assumptions as to the nature of Man, and the results to the happiness of it's people is equally contrasting. Just something to think about with the advertising and hype to get you to vote in this years elections....... consider the world view of the person. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/1 95869-obama-ill-act-on-my-own From a political view, I think Obama's "winning" here. Congress has way lower approval ratings than he does, and he's managed to ramp up an Imperial Presidency fairly effectively. Congress can't say boo, and no one listens to them..... for good reason. I don't like that, and you don't have to admire the ambition and dishonesty used to achieve it, but that he IS effective in taking power is worth paying attention to. ( competency in wielding power is another story ) |

one of many things i'm not schooled in, is the system of checks and balances supposedly maintained by our government. If this... resident... starts "using" away his "phone and pen", how do the other branches keep him in check?? will they? |

I wonder, is it heretical to ride a Buell Lightning and like and respect the President at the same time? According to this thread, it seems that way. Some of you need to get out more. |

Not sure of the conclusions that some jump to. I would think that a communist would enjoy riding a Buell as much as anyone else. |

Reading the posts in this thread is like entering a time tunnel and being dropped off during the days of Lester Maddox and going further yet to the McCarthy era. Minority opinions are like that. They seem to gather around one campfire. |

Torquehd and Oldog, It takes me no pleasure to say I told you so. Fredfast, Thanks for posting. Are you Frankfast, a dude who used to post here? There is a strong correlation in your use of language which is kinda like Moe poking Larry in the eyes. I sure hope you intend on elucidating what you are ambiguously writing. Why the negative energy, fred? I love learning. I have a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering so I am all in for education. Don't sell yourself short, friend. Remember that we all ride Buells which is what is important. I ride a 2009 XB12XP which is 1 of 137. (Message edited by reindog on January 19, 2014) |

The "Time Tunnel" is one of my favorite TV shows. The one with Doug and Tony landing in 2009 and beating the crap out of Keith Wandell is classic. |

http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/cher-obama-let-us- down Aawww. Duh. This just has to happen another 100 million times and maybe folk will realize that Socialism always runs out of other peoples money. Unemployment went up in December. That's not good news. Unemployment has gone up every year since 2009. Who has run things since 2009? Fredfast, what's your opinion on current foreign policy? Economic policy? Unemployment payments extension? It would be easier to "respect the President" if he wasn't so comfortable with lying about keeping our medical insurance plans and the Benghazi attack, among others. By the way, Maddox, not to mention Bull Connor, was a Democrat and McCarthy was right about commies in the government. |

"(bet we get no answer)" Aha! That won't work. You're right. You won't. Why argue with those who represent the President of the US as a lawn jockey. It just reaffirms that almost all criticism of the President is based on racism. Look at the Tea Party. You won't find a black face in the crowd. Thanks Torquehd. You're right on the money. 4 posts. All of them in this thread. Troll. Some coward, already a member here. Too afraid to voice his racism and/or ignorance using his own name. You sir, are hereby put on notice. I have found in life that it is usually the first person to cry racism who is in fact himself the racist. The knife cuts both ways. |

See? Liars and leftists (redundant) always refuse to discuss facts or offer honest opinions. I often note when I agree with Obama. I even agree with some of his actions when they are illegal. Fredfaust is either ignorant of the facts or choses to lie. We will never know which since he will refuse to be honest and respond to questions. Even when those questions are honest and not dialectic manipulation. See? Torquehd?? The liars will accuse you of being racist no matter what you feel. I am the first to reject the Soviet concept of Political Correct as a means to shut down dissent of the Masters........and here it is in person. He pretends there is no legit complaint and rejects all who disagree based on the illusion of illegitimacy. Cowards and liars. The face of the Followers of evil. |

The real pity is I would welcome another social libertarian to the discussion. Frankfast may have important insights and a viable point of view, THAT I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR if he can tell propaganda from fact. We'd be glad to help him tell the difference. This is not a lockstep group. IIRC the Tea Party was intended to promote fiscal responsibility and not be a social conservative group. Ending dishonesty and insane spending for power and influence is the vital need of the country. The arguments over how to deal with teen pregnancy, regulated sins, and other social issues will be an ongoing process in a free society. The entire concept of PC is meant to shut down argument and impose the powerful's view over all. Lies like we see above, You won't find a black face in the crowd. are deliberate and orchestrated. I recall a "shocking" photo of a racist redneck at a Tea Party Rally pushed by the news papers. Carefully cropped to conceal that the person legally carrying a Constitutionally protected legal weapon in a legal manner was, in fact, "African- American". And I bet you that he thought of himself as "American". And Proud of it. |

You no read so good. There are probably 100 pages on this thread with documentary evidence of why Obama is unqualified and how he is doing irreparable harm to the United States. Frank, or whatever your true name is, you can disagree but you are less than truthful when you cast a racist net. You can do better, Frank. |

>>>And there are thousands of pages of documentary evidence on climate change If you can produce one credible source, please send it to me. I have been appointed to a committee to craft the curricula for the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory dealing with Environmental Risk Preparedness. I'm eager to learn all I can but the same folks who espoused "Global Warming" (people like Al Gore) have sought refuge under the more forgiving "Climate Change" since their entire "warming" thing was pretty well shot to hell. If you can, I say again, send me something that shows a change in climate that deviates from the "normal" cycles that have existed since the dinosaurs left . . . I'd look forward to it. |
