I feel for Hillary. Say what you want about her, she is a very capable person. While their politics may mesh very well, I rather suspect that she hates Obama as much as the rest of us, possibly more, albeit for different reasons. I think we'd be a lot better off right now if she had won the primary. Barry is simply in over his head. His ego and lack of real world experience converged to convince him that being president was going to be just as easy and consequence-free as all his other endeavors (getting stoned, skipping class, and convincing idiots that he's smarter than they are). I think we'd be a lot better off, and on the right track again, if Mitt had won, but that train has sailed. Republicans, please, please, please nominate someone with a shot at beating the Clinton machine. She's a vicious bitch. | ||

I agree, Hillary would have been much better than Obama. Conservatives that single mindedly attacked her made things worse by clearing the field for Obama. They should have spent the effort conditioning a rational and savvy tea party candidate. Where is a Winston Churchill when we need one? | ||

My take she is smarter than bill, none the less, she was in charge of the state dept, Lybia IS now and WAS then a problem spot, either her or a subordinate, made the decisions that left insufficient security for the compound in Benghazi which led to the raid IMO, ON HER WATCH I blame in part her for the deaths. I also blame barry the clown prince of stupid for failing to send the calvary in time to save the rest of those folks. To busy getting ready for a fund raiser. Know that it's her play book, and you can see through her actions. She's sickeningly transparent, but she doesn't care. She knows that almost no one who votes for her will know, and the ones who do are so in bed with her politics that they won't hold being an iron clad deceitful bitch against her. Still...I'd rather have her in office than Obama. She, at least sometimes, sees reason. Obama can't see past his own ego and his communist upbringing. The president was likened to the anti-christ (I don't believe he is; just a doof that happens to believe his own hype and a broken brand of Marxism) but in anycase he was heckled in the clip - and he responded with his pat line - well I am not totally in charge.... but it sounded similar to a 'heckle' he got during his campaign at a completely different location.... and yep - I played them back to back - and damnit if it didn't sound like the same Heckler.... makes me think that the 'Heckler' is on paid staff. and indeed - that would be something that the Obo would do - I would not put it past him one wit. | ||

This is one of the effects of Socialist and Progressive/Liberal policies. Unfortunately, this will accelerate when the full provisions of Obamacare and the class warfare of income inequality take root. For those who haven't done so, read "Atlas Shrugged" as this was all predicted in 1957. Homosexuality is offensive. Islam is offensive. The theory of evolution is offensive. Do I cry to the town about them? No. I know what I believe, I know that others have different beliefs, and no amount of words or pictures are going to hurt my feelings, because I'm a Man, and not a naive child who believes the world is a kind, loving, nurturing place that wants to be my friend. I know that if I want the world around me to be a certain way, I have to work my ass off to make it that way, and even then the world will never be how I want it to be. I believe that you should reap what you sow, but there's always loss in every equation. You can work your ass off and have nice things, but your life will never be this perfect place where you can be a baby sucking on your mom's teat again. That's called "life". It will kick you in the nuts, and you have to be man enough to get up, decide what you believe, and make something happen for yourself. Not wait around, unemployed, hoping the president will bring you a cup of hot cocoa, a free phone, a lifetime supply of food stamps, and give you a handjob while he's there. Unfortunately, our President does not share that belief. He believes America should give out handjobs to those who are not willing to do anything (or the right thing) for themselves. And to those who break the laws of our land, and to those who have deliberately worked against American ideals. He believes the lazy, the illegal, the enemies of America, should reap what you sow. | ||

Torquehd, I agree with most of what you just posted but your arguments are lost when you post images of pResident Obama as a lawnboy. There is historical precedence where that icon is considered racist. You have lost your audience when you engage in that type of behavior. I am angry too but try to limit the vile to the man's policies and beliefs. Obama is a human wrecking ball but race has zero, nada, zilch to do with his failings. I am actually proud of the resilience and the ability of the American People to elect a Black Man as President. We just elected the wrong man. | ||

I could care less about whether our president was black, asian, native american, or latino. But since he is (kind of) black, yes, I will joke about his race. If he was Asian, I would recite his quotes switching the "r"s and "l"s. If he was second generation German, I would replace his "th's" with "z's". People are different. All of the men who I daily associate with, make fun of the stereotypical differences between different races of people. I myself am from a family of hillbillies (some would say, "white trash"), and I make fun of my own racial profile. It's life, it's funny, and it adds a little seasoning to our daily lives. I'm short and skinny, i drive a lifted longbed diesel pickup, and my friends make fun of me for that, just like I make fun of my friend who has no neck, and my friend from Miss'sippi who talks with a heavier redneck accent than I have. Or my friend who is half israeli - you think I don't lay the Jewish jokes on him? My previous team leader was half pakistani - so we poured all kinds of racial jokes on him. My other buddy is married to a black girl and his children are half black. And we all joke about race. Race is not some "holy grail" that's beyond touching. Should we consider the statue of liberty somehow distasteful because she has the build of an anglo-saxon and is forced to stand in the cold, holding a torch above her head? It's not like the lawn jockey is half naked and receiving lashings. I can see where that would be distasteful and offensive. Holding a lantern, does that somehow make it bigotry? It's funny because the lawn jockey is a well known negro statue. For goodness sake, O is not even black! But I thought the joke about O replacing Lady Liberty with a statue of Aunt Jemima was funny too. Our goal is to win and we will fail if we unwittingly cause the people we are debating with to close their eyes and ears due to inappropriate iconage. Life isn't fair and that is why we have to be better than the rest. ProgLiberalism is the path to anarchy and death but unfortunately the fact is that there are lot of Progressives and Liberals. Luckily for America, they are finally getting a taste of their own medicine that their philosophy leads to the destruction of the Middle Class. The lawn jockey is intended to evoke feelings of nostalgia for the old days when a plantation owner could return from a days fox hunt and hand the reins over to a well dressed slave. Both a display of wealth and position. Later ironic and parody was the selling point......... and now it is widely considered in bad taste. Most of my genes are from the pale blue northern peoples, and the dash of Hispanic ( that gave me black hair when I was younger ) and the sprinkle of American Aboriginal, ( Blackfoot ) apparently have nothing to do with my skin.
