So Nov 20 a 16 year old girl pulled out in front of me while I was leaving my internship, causing us to collide

Dec 12 I found out that my Pathfinder had been totaled

After many issues - one being on the way to buy a car when the dealer called back and told me the transport driver crashed it on the short drive from a sister dealership - Im relieved to say that I now own a car again.
For about two weeks I didnt own a car (from time they totaled mine and I sold her insurance company the truck until I got the new one), three motorcycles, no car.

On New Years Eve I picked up a 2014 Ford Fiesta
I miss having a SUV, but while I am in college I really need to think about gas, i do A LOT of driving - about 450-500/wk during school semester.

For two weeks I wasnt online much other than looking at autotrader/cl/ebay/and dealership sites. At least now I can browse about great bikes again : )

Hell, you've had it easy. My Buell was our family vehicle for one and a half YEARS. I took the kid to school, the wife to work, myself to work and school, and at least once a week went for a grocery run.

Old - will do
I'll say that for the money, its hard to beat this car (for the class its in)
The other car that I was really considering was the Fit, but similarly equipped it wouldve cost me 1500-2k more
and truly this car just felt better to drive/had more small things that I liked on it

Sounds like a decent choice. I suspect you'll be happy with it!

well I think that I wont be towing with this one
Id spoke with my dad and he said, "well youre only planning to race a few times this year...just trade cars with me that weekend and I wont mind driving yours if its a new car"

So I'll just borrow his infiniti QX for those few weekends this year

That time was spread equally between Kissimmee, Orlando, and Jacksonville.

The wife has a 2007 Fit. The first major service interval is 100k miles and it's a fun, practical car. The "magic" seats that sounded like a gimmick have really come in handy.

Glad your woes are behind you.

I've had terrible luck with cars. My first car I had to sell before I even put it on the road, the wife totalled my truck months after it was purchased, and an old Dodge I bought for the wife blew up on the drive home.

rick - the rear seats are the one place where i liked the fit more than the fiesta - folds flat plus the way the bottoms come up for extra space.
really neat!

That time was spread equally between Kissimmee, Orlando, and Jacksonville.

Having visited all 3 of those lo-cals a number of times the traffic of unfamiliar to area drivers in the first two is significant,
raising the hazard level you dealt with.

I lived in Atlanta area when I was young, and had nothing but my '79 Suzuki 1000 as my transport for almost 4 years, from De-kalb county out to the Duluth area daily for a long time. It was tough some times, I also had to do the bike as my only transport for a short time while here (NC), riding the kids( was married at that time ) and hauling groceries.
