I usually don`t post much, but after smashing my finger working on my RD350 project it has given me some time away from the wrenches.

Soooo. Here are some of the things that just rolled out the door.

I saved this X1 from the chopping block. It was missing so many things i don`t know where to start. No brakes no exhaust etc etc .... And believe it or not I found most of the parts at Vintage Days in Ohio.

Personally I like the street fighter look, stripped and raw. I did change the angle of the gauges so they would fit closer to the headlight. Quite a few other changes as well. Still needs turn signals and tank accent pieces.

I use my neighbors paint booth for all of my paint work. I`m still working on those skills. I just have a hard time using the old HD/Buell logos so went with EBR.

Anyways just thought i would take a picture before closing shop for the day.

The Kawi 1000.

My friend found it in GA. Sat around his shop for years. Somehow it found its way to my shop.

I wanted to Cafe the bike but it was just to original. Still had the owners manual and tool kit under the seat, and in perfect condition.

Well someone else started the project and replaced the rusty tank put tires on it and then just stopped working on it.

Anyways here is how it turned out. The stock exhaust was toast. So a swap meet header was found then cut down. a yoshi can was had at Mid Ohio Swap Meet. A 2" drop front and rear. Countless hours of wrenching and here ya go.

You need some Nuke Blue on the tail section of that X1.

Definitely got some nice painting skills there.

We are our own harshest critics.
