I've learned a lot from Bill Whittle the past several years, but none of it on my nickel. That changed tonight; I'm now a paying customer, so to speak. I know it'll be worth every penny of my hard-earned dough.

Consider tossing something in his pot, if you can. It's important. Thanks.

Bam! Bam goes the hammer. People receive cancellation notices from their insurance companies. Bam! Obama is exposed as a liar. Bam! Reid and Pelosi were in on it. Bam! When times are bleak for conservatives, we have one inalienable tool--the hammer of reality.

"A few days after the 2012 Presidential election, Bill Whittle gave a speech about what a conservative candidate who actually believed in Conservative principles should have said in order to win the election…and an idea was born. Speaking as the Virtual President of the United States, Bill delivers common-sense, rock-solid Conservative answers to the problems we face today – from the floor of the House of Representatives, the White House Briefing Room, and the Oval Office. The new series, YOUR GOVERNMENT, is an eleven-part instruction manual on how to save this great nation. It premieres here at www.BillWhittle.com."

In this installment of the YOUR GOVERNMENT series, Virtual President Bill Whittle explains why a two-cent aspirin pill costs $20, and how we can replace the waste and inefficiencies of our present system with one that empowers patients to use their own money, just as if it were... their own money.

Giggity - I think he is more entertaining than I - but certainly - we share many of the same opinions

I do like how he co-opted the Hammer - the traditional meme of the Socialists....

Rock on Bill

Awesome, thank you. I'm of modest means, and have to choose my financial fights wisely. I've gotten a lot of value from Bill Whittle and his various conservative endeavors over the years, and it was time for me to put my money where his mouth is.

Thanks again.

So Whittle has the FB1 seal of approval.....

I have listened to him a modern Ben Franklin to be sure, ( wisdom not the other )

when the current mess is cleaned up I think you have persuaded me, I like the tea party as well, but at times some of the articles seem a little too close to the tin foil hat set school of thought....

: )

We - you, I and others - have posted-up a lot of Whittle's stuff here on BWB over the years. He has a way with words and imagery, to be sure, and is staunchly conservative and makes no apologies for it. In that way he reminds me of you...and me. : )

Re: the "tin foil hat" stuff, a lot of it depends on who's presenting "the news." I've followed the Tea Party links you posted of late, and although some of what I've read could be construed as shocking or "inflammatory" (depending on one's point of view), if the exact same information was being presented nightly in prime time by, say, MSNBC, the entire country - Progs and Conservatives alike - would be up in arms (and rightly so).

We're in a war right now for the soul of this country, and the Progs are almost there: The fundamental transformation is nearly complete.

My mindset has evolved significantly since Reid dropped the nuke in the Senate. Many folks don't yet realize what an awful (to put it mildly) fundamental shift in the way Congress does business this was. It was, at its essence, a GIGANTIC step closer to one-party tyranny. You, I and others on this board have tried to educate people, in our own various ways, of the clear and present danger facing our Republic.

Well, the nakedness of our Emperor is out there for all to see, now. No one needs "convincing" anymore - folks like you and I know it's true, and folks on the left ALSO know it's true (although they may still try to obfuscate or otherwise support the tyrant in the White House). They are, in my opinion, traitors in every sense of the word.

So be it.

Me, I'm continuing to ready myself as best as possible for any contingency, and will still do what I can to educate, but we're mostly past the educating part now. Anyone paying attention knows who and what we're dealing with. It's now more a matter of who's going to prevail, and how.

Enough said; gotta get back to w*rk - I've got someone's entitlements to pay for today...

Ride to lean, amigo. : )

#001 just hit my in-box:

NEWSLETTER 001 11/26/13

Hello my friends, and welcome to the first edition of our Newsletter. The dust around the construction site has finally settled, and so from this point forward we'll be giving you a quick, fully clickable weekly update of last week's content highlights, and what to expect in the upcoming week.

This edition's featured video is the second in the Virtual President's YOUR GOVERNMENT series: Health Care, in which a two cent aspirin billed at $20 per pill shows us what's wrong with Big Government solutions, and how competition and ownership can save us really incredible amounts of money and provide far better care.

Afterburner this week is called The Hammer of Reality, a mighty ally and deadly weapon, if we only had politicians who knew how to use it. The Stratosphere Lounge, Episode 48 - otherwise known as the Sleep-Deprived, New Haircut Edition - starts with a solid Obamacare rant and moves on from there, and we take a look at the Rocket Science behind the design of Aurora, which ends with some shocking, Back-to-the-Future, real-world hardware.

I'm off for a three-day holiday trip to shoot things in Texas, then back with written commentary, video from a speaking event in Reno, and hopefully a special Friday edition of TSL.

I wish you all the very best Thanksgiving, and I know come Thursday night I will, as always, be as proud and as grateful as I can be to have been born and raised in Awesomeville. So let's give thanks for what we have, and then go get the rest of it back.

B

Gee City, I always found your views entertaining, and thought provoking.

I hope that you are wrong because I am not "ready to bug out", how a bout a 90 day list of things to get or keep for a sit tight in the vicinity of Wilmington NC

How to get Mr Whittle to run for office? Campaign slogan could be "The kind of change we can "actually" believe in"... Or maybe just "Common Sense"!!

Allen West would still be my first choice, but I'd happily vote for Whittle for President.

NEWSLETTER 002 12/04/13

Hi everybody. Welcome to Newsletter 002 for the week of December 2nd through December 8th. I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving Holiday.

Our featured video this week is from a speech I gave at a Virtual Presidency fundraiser in Reno, Nevada back in April of this year. It best encompasses all of the themes I was working with following Mitt Romney's loss in November. There are also some interesting notes on public speaking in general and how I personally prepare in particular. I hope you like it.

We have an interesting set of Trifectas this week in which I host a look at our eroding Bill of Rights. Part One is on the First Amendment, where we see that in a world of weaponized IRS audits you don't have to be thrown into a dungeon to have your Freedom of Speech Curtailed. I'm back to written form again, with a small essay in the Commentary section, called Shards, about keeping hope alive in dark times. And in The Stratosphere Lounge, Episode 49 I have some thoughts on Texas, Trolls and Tolkien, the latter of which will bear fruit later this week.

I hope to have an interesting freebie for those of you already on the mailing list in the next week or two. We'll see you again next Tuesday.

Shards
Bill Whittle, 12/04/2013

The Solstice approaches. Every day, the sun dips lower in the south, and every day its time above the horizon decreases. It’s dark, and it gets darker every day.

There’s not a person reading these words who, raised with an understanding that Freedom is not the default state of man but rather a force field against tyranny that must be maintained every day through effort and hard work – there’s not one among you that does not look out into the free land that was handed to us by our ancestors with dismay, and the same sense of unfocused dread that a thousand generations felt as the sun dipped ever lower, day by day – because this time, perhaps, it will not climb again.

The history of mankind has been to rule and to be ruled. For reasons that you and I will never understand, there exists in some people an insatiable desire to tell other people what to do; to bend others to their will. I suspect that every single one of those hearts is filled with a dread, a genuine horror, at the wasteland of their own emptiness, and so the bombast and the narcissism and the arrogance; the legions of fainting faithful and the roar of the applause; the reflections, the logos, the insertion of themselves into every event in history; the mind-numbing obsession with power – all of these, I think, are just shovels full of coal being pitched into the bottomless furnace of their own self-hatred.

And so here we sit, sons and daughters, grand- and great-grand-sons and daughters of the Greatest Generation who went ashore at Normandy and Iwo Jima, who died in submarines in the Pacific and in the skies over Germany, who freed the world from darkness everlasting then helped our mortal enemies to their feet and freed them from themselves as well. And everything they fought and died for, and the men before them, and the ones before them, is being washed out to sea in front of our eyes and we sit here paralyzed by our comfort and our shame.

I do, anyway.

NEWSLETTER 003 12/10/13

Hi everybody; welcome to the newsletter for the week of December 9th through December 12th.

Our featured video this week is one of my all-time personal favorite Afterburners: I Can't Believe They Let You Do That! This was a lot more light-hearted than usual, and in two places it really highlights both the comic power and rhetorical impact of hammering a list ad infinitum. It was a lot of fun to do.

Also this week: a follow-up to last week's First Amendment Trifecta, this time looking at the erosions to the First's less glamorous sister, the Fourth Amendment. With the NSA recording billions of transactions a day, that is an awful lot of oaths or affirmations.

We look at the real-world history at the heart of the engine in Aurora...

Taxpayers were charged $1 billion for the Obamacare website, and it is barely working. Some experts argue that the real cost of the Obamacare website should have been closer to $5 million.
