I think it's only fair to talk about what I agree with Obama on.
I agreed with Obama that Gay marriage was a problem, but he supported "civil unions" to solve the real injustices. ( he didn't actually do anything to make that happen, but it got him elected back in '08 )
I agreed with Obama that he would now support gay marriage, now that his daughters are in a very expensive private school with heavily armed guards watching them intently. ( he didn't do anything about it, but it got him a bunch of millions from Hollywood, and helped him get re-elected in 2012 )
I agreed with Obama that you shouldn't have lobbyists who's loyalties are to their lobby, as members of the Administration.
I agreed with Obama that you shouldn't be able to craft/vote on/influence legislation for some special interest group, and then leave your government job, and get a high paying job as reward. ( aka bribery and corruption )
I agreed that all legislation should be posted on the internet for a week so the Citizens can see what is to be voted on and inform their representatives of their opinion.
I agreed that many meetings formerly behind closed doors should be open to cspan cameras so the American Public could see what was going on.
I agreed that torture was wrong and we shouldn't farm it out to other countries just to pretend it wasn't our responsibility.
I agreed with a LOT of things Obama said.
It's a pity he lied to me, and to all the people of the world.
The Health Care law WAS open source - I READ it; damn shame none of the legislators that agreed to it did. What was NOT public was the back room pork pay offs to buy votes and bribe the cronies
THAT should have been on the internet. ;?/
PS Nearly EVERYTHING he 'said' was a meme of what Lenin said in 1908 - nearly line for line, lie for lie. and look at what happened there - it is why I never trusted him from day one.
The question asked on the news tonight is "can we trust Iran's Gov."
It's worth trying to see it from the other side too. Can Iran (or any other government) trust the US with pResident POS? Given his willingness to lie to everyone else about anything else, it seems the answer is clear. That leaves the US in a very bad place at any bargaining table.
The lack of cooperation Obama has received from House Republicans has been deemed by the Media a "not give Obama anything" approach, and the blame, per same media, is all the R's fault since, they are, after all, racist.
There's probably something to that.
The other side of the coin is Obama deciding? to not even try to make deals that aren't Chicago Way ( reg trademark Obama Administration ) simple bribes. From day one Obama's attitude has been "I won, suck it up". Apparently he thought his sheer force of personality would get things done in a town as full of moral and legal compromises as D.C.
He doesn't call people and make deals. He bullies and ignores. To be fair, I share his contempt for Congress.
Obamacare passed in no small part because of a blatant outright bribe to the R rep from Nebraska. ( how's that working out for you, Nebraska? )
All in all, this Administration has shown serious signs of mental illness from day one. Bush may have been in over his head, and knew it, but Obama seems to believe himself above the people he has to deal with. He may actually be bewildered why his authoritarian, rigid ways don't get him loved by his declared enemies. Maybe he fails to see how declaring that he will punish them for disobedience affects people with the ego and inflated self image of a typical D.C. Overlord.
I'd really love to look at the psyche profile Vladimir's folk have on Obama. Past experience shows that the KGB ( or whatever it's called this week ) is better at seeing our flaws than the Media is here.
This guy has so much lying, deception and deceit going on that you can't keep up with him.
While obamacare may have passed, in part, due to bribes . . let's not forget that their so called "independent academic expert" also got a $400,000 "no bid" contract from the H&HS folks . . . .all the time you were watching him explain how good the program was and that we, not being M.I.T. Professors, just weren't smart enough to understand . . . well, he wasn't smart enough to share that he was being paid, well paid . . .so recite the administrations talking points.
There is a way out. it is unfortunately and end game scenario that either involves 1) Leaving the country and absolving citizenship 2) a little revolution with the heads of state in a devise best known for French implementation
all else is rearranging chairs on the Titanic while the band plays and the damn thing sinks (we have already hit the iceberg - the best time to get off the Titanic... was before it left port)
It's NOT "betrayal". It's the Revolution mon, and you look like useful idiots.
By any Means Necessary. If you want to make Omelets, you have to break some eggs. The Death panels will save the economy. I won't take your rifle away, I won't take your shotgun away, I won't take your handgun away!"
Can you tell me which of the above quotes is current? ( hint. all of them )
1. I will have the most transparent administration. 2. I have Shovel ready jobs. 3. The IRS is not targeting anyone. 4. If four Americans get killed, it is not optimal. 5. ObamaCare will be good for America. 6. You can keep your family doctor. 7. Premiums will be lowered by $2500 8. You can keep your current healthcare plan 9. Just shop around, for that healthcare I claimed you wouldn't lose. 9A. I did not say you could keep your health care. (Regardless that 29 recorded videos show I did) 9B. ObamaCare will not be offered to illegal immigrants. 9C. ObamaCare will not be used to fund abortions. 9D. ObamaCare will cost less than 1 Trillion Dollars. 10. No one making under $250,000 will see their taxes raised one dime. 11. It was about a movie.
The Vanity Fair article says one thing to me ... Arrogant . And everything he has done and said to date supports that. The guy simply thinks he is smarter than everyone else and we are all just useful idiots to him and if we disagree with his policies or opinions we are wrong and stupid.
and if we disagree with his policies or opinions we are wrong and stupid. Wrong. If you disagree with him, you will be subject to IRS persecution. Obama is a criminal and should be removed from office. Resident Obama possesses less than 1/10th the integrity of President George W. Bush and I didn't even like Bush.

Monday, we reported on a Navy directive prohibiting SEALs from using The First Navy Jack with the words “Don't Tread On Me.” That information came to us from former SEAL Team 10 veteran Carl Higbie. Soon after publishing, we were contacted by one of our Patriot readers with information to the contrary. Indeed, Navy spokeswoman Lt. Cmdr. Sarah Flaherty told Navy Times, “As of September 2013, all Naval Special Warfare personnel are authorized to wear the U.S. flag and the 'Don't Tread on me' uniform patches. In the past, NSW did not authorize wearing either patch unless one was deployed or in a work-up cycle. However, NSW recently sought special permission from the Chief of Naval Operations staff to wear the patches within the continental United States.” While someone downstream from the CNO may have issued a directive to the contrary, the current directive as noted by Lt. Cmdr. Flaherty trumps any other.
It sometime seems like the ship has drifted away from its moorings without a crew on board. The bitter ironies of this quote should make a patriot wince.
quote:
"If we continue to be a happy people, that happiness must be assured by the enacting and executing of reasonable and wise laws, expressed in the plainest language, and by establishing such modes of education as tend to inculcate in the minds of youth, the feelings and habits of 'piety, religion and morality,' and to lead them to the knowledge and love of those truly Republican principles upon which our civil institutions are founded."
–Samuel Adams, Address to the Legislature of Massachusetts, 1795
The report cards on Obama's regime are coming in, and hard to ignore. ( although many are screaming in denial, as they pay 500% more for many things )
Bush had his ups and downs, and his downs were pretty damn bad. With a semi-legit 4.5% unemployment rate, for a while, ( the U-6 figures varied from ok to crappy, so the numbers were higher than that ) the complaint for much of his 2 terms was that there was not enough unemployment, and companies had to pay more for jobs. ( the kind on inflation workers like ) Gas was all over the place, and the economy, starting with the ( never admitted ) Clinton recession, was recovering, on the usual 18 month cycle, when Sept. 2001 arrived, and the legacy of Clinton's refusal ( and cover up ) to capture Bin Laden came home to roost. On fire. The economy took a big hit, but a smiling face, and a call to buy more stuff, led us to a decent recovery, albeit a year later that predicted.
Then you get to the bad. After freeing 50 million people from Tyranny in Afghanistan & Iraq, Bush listened to some well meaning, but WRONG people and not only tried to establish a Republic in the middle east, but was "culturally sensitive". Which actually meant he screwed it up. I could rant on "how I'd of done it" for days, but in short, by allowing an Islamic Constitution in both nations, and by NOT hammering Iran & Syria for sending weapons and jihadi across their borders. Both nations should now be part of a league of Free Republics and Russia should be very cautious. Alas, not so much.
Then came the lack of veto on excessive spending, and the largest boost in "entitlement" ( free stuff ) spending in history. ( at that time ) Yep, Health care socialization in Mediscrew Pt.D. This led to the D's taking power in Congress, a spate of even more insane spending, and a continued lack of rational budget vetos.
Yep it's Bush's fault, and in large part because he was a good guy, pretty honest and not a dictator.
Bush's failures can be blamed not only on his lack of assertion ( nice guys finish last ) and a crappy strategy for "keeping up the scare" on the Jihadi Enemy, but also on the most deadly act of war in a sneak attack on US soil,. This hurt long term success of his foreign policy, although with good short term effects, like thousands of jihadi killed over there while too busy to kill US Civilians, and the abandonment of their WMD program by Libya.
Obama also had a recession to start his term, it also was predicted to wear off in 18 months. ( prediction based on the assumption that there won't be a major disaster like 9/11 or Katrina, and that the President does not mess it up. )
Obama also had a major disaster in his first term, Sandy. ( which actually helped him since the web page for CPUSA was down and no one could verify their support for Comrade Barry )
The rest of his problems, including the recession he inherited ( and has not really ended, except for the 1%'rs supported by imaginary money from the Federal Reserve ) is All Obama's dealeo.
Unemployment is up, Energy and food is up, average incomes are down, and not one of these things would be true if not for the policies of the President. He's not the only one to blame, to be sure. The D majority Congress since Bush's term has the most to do with it, and the R's have been along for the party on your credit card.
What we can place directly on the President are Foreign Policy, a couple of wars, crappy covert aid in gun running, and let us not ever forget the thousands of US troops killed in Afghanistan on his watch with his policies.
I'll skip for now the dishonesty, except to note that Allies for decades are pissed at us, no enemy fears us, and there are a bunch of countries now beside the asylum of N Korea that tell their own people not to worry, They'll just nuke us and we'll lose.
I wonder how much of a kickback Michelle got from her college friend for receiving this no-bid contract. This is YAOS (Yet Another Obama Scandal) in the making.
America made a huge mistake not electing Mitt Romney.
