Regarding the 'Bush lied about WMD in Iraq' charge so often conveniently levied...

UNSCOM and UNMOVIC were essentially in charge of the WMD inspection regime in Iraq. The vast majority of people do not know this, but when the teams were created, it was demanded that team leaders could not be Americans. Team members could be Americans, from investigators to scientists to engineers to technicians, they could be Americans. But team leaders -- not.

The team leaders were: Hans Blix (Sweden), Rolf Ekeus (Sweden), and Richard Butler (Australia).

Further, they were supported by internationally diverse advisors, such as UNMOVIC's 'College of Commissioners'...

http://www.un.org/depts/unmovic/new/pages/commissi oners.asp

Only one American on that council.

Their reports do not go to the US but to the UN Security Council and to the UN Secretary General, which at that time was Ghannan Kofi Annan.

So if Bush 'lied' about WMD in Iraq, then so did UNSCOM, UNMOVIC, their advisors, and ultimately the UN SecGen himself.

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/362783/obama -myth-master-strategist-jonah-goldberg

Obama lied, people died.

Fast & Furious. ( gun smuggling to destroy your right to keep and bear arms )
Libyan War. ( war for oil. France's oil. )
Benghazi gun smuggling ( to aid rebels in Syria, through Turkey )
Benghazi assault ( Told minions to "deal with it", went to have a smoke, watch tv, get ready for Vegas fund raiser )
Benghazi cover up. ( lies about video, publicly endangered life of film maker, has film maker arrested, who is still in "protective custody" )
Egypt Revolution. ( supports Muslim Brotherhood Jihadi group that ruled through mass rape, mass murder, and imposition of hate filled slavery law )
Syrian Red Line. ( 100,000 murdered, didn't care, then spoke up without thought on alleged poison gas attack. Probably with Iraqi poison gas )
Syrian arms smuggling. ( support for AQ rebels, one leader famously eats dead enemy on youtube )
Obamacare. ( Estimated 93 million people lose Employer Heath Insurance. That's the ADMINISTRATION'S estimate. what? you're still alive? )

All the above are real. Most are Impeachable offenses. Some are Treason.

Some people still cling to the Propaganda of the past.

Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.

Interesting . . . 6 people signed up for Obamacare the first day.

That's after the HALF BILLION $$$$ in advertising to convince folks to sign up.

I'm getting the impression that even Americans who may not agree on politics can all agree when they smell a turd.

The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office indicates that if 7,000,000 haven't signed onto the exchanges by 12/31/13 that the program will be "unsustainable".

I'm at a loss at to why all my fellow 60 year old males aren;t eager to triple their out of pocket expenses and get lactation counseling and maternity care in the deal.

Meanwhile, disciples of the Cloward-Piven strategy (http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/09/barack_obam a_and_the_strategy.html) are two steps closer to realizing their goal:

Napolitano Pledges $5M in Taxpayer Funds to Univ of California DREAMers
New University of California President Janet Napolitano said $5 million of taxpayer funds will be given to illegal immigrants attending the University of California system.

Napolitano, the former Homeland Security Secretary, made the announcement on Wednesday "in her first public address since she became head of the 10-campus university system a month ago" at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco.

...UC officials estimate there are about 900 students who are illegal immigrants enrolled in the UC system. Though they are ineligible for federal aid, the "DREAMers" can receive state and campus-based aid because of a bill California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) signed two years ago.

Illinois to Begin Issuing Driver's Licenses to Illegal Aliens in December
As of December 3, the State of Illinois will begin accepting applications from illegal aliens for state issued driver’s licenses. State officials estimate as many as 500,000 illegal aliens currently living in the state could apply for the licenses.

Governor Pat Quinn signed the law which created the “temporary visitor driver’s license” almost a year ago.

...The state plans to process 100,000 illegal alien driver’s license applications annually. According to Secretary of State Jesse White, getting the program up and running will cost $1 million.

Meanwhile, interesting new news regarding one of the many "phony" scandals presently swirling around the White House like a turd in a toilet bowl:

quote:

Judicial Watch Obtains Records Through FOIA – Emails Showing IRS’ Lois Lerner Illegally Gave Tea Party Info To FEC
Posted on October 31, 2013 by Sundance

WASHINGTON DC - The Internal Revenue Service shared highly confidential tax information of several Tea Party groups in the IRS scandal with the Federal Election Commission, a clear violation of federal law, according to newly obtained emails.

The public watchdog group Judicial Watch told Secrets Thursday that it was former scandal boss Lois Lerner who shared the information on groups including the American Future Fund and the American Issues Project.

The emails obtained by Judicial Watch show that the IRS, which was considering the tax status of the groups, gave the FEC the tax returns of the groups, including income, expenditures and staff pay. The emails also revealed the exact working of the prying political questions the IRS wanted the groups to reveal, such as their goals and the requests for brochures and ads.

Now is the time to dust off your copy or Orwell's "1984" and look inwards. Consider the possibility that you are a doubleplusgoodquackthinker.

The tingles that you feel in your leg over this most mendacious president might be Deep Vein Thrombosis.

Obama's third autobiography is entitled, "The Audacity of Mendacity". Are you willing to join the Conservative cause to save America? If not now, when?

Get ready for the riots. SNAP, AKA foodstamp welfare for a family of four is being cut from $668 to $632 starting today. $668, you gotta be kidding me! A 50lb bag of rice is $16 and a 50lb bag of pinto beans is $46.15. $668 is the equivalent of $12K/year pre-tax.

I don't want anyone to starve in America but there is clearly something very wrong with 47 million Americans receiving food stamps and be given $12K/year to become hooked on government dependency.

The following is a really good one folks. Picturing Obama as Foghorn Leghorn is terrifically funny. If you don't know Jonah Goldberg, he wrote a very dry but factual book called, "Liberal Fascism". Joe Bob sez: "Check it out".

O'Care Fiasco Proves Barack No Chess Master
By Jonah Goldberg · Nov. 1, 2013

quote:

Often in error but never in doubt, Barack Obama could walk into the Rose Garden and step on a half-dozen rakes like Foghorn Leghorn in an old Looney Tunes cartoon, and the official line would be, “He meant to do that.”

quote:

Obviously he wouldn't want to delay Obamacare. But that decision was out of his hands due to his administration's incompetence. The only choice before him was whether he would get the blame for the delay or if the Republicans would.

Why Obama didn't do this and why it didn't occur to him are good questions. Hubris obviously played a role, as it does in nearly everything this White House does. But the best answer is he didn't know how terrible things were over at HHS. In other words, the chess master didn't even know what pieces he had on the board, which is usually not something we associate with chess masters. It's something we associate with people who don't even know how to play the game.

The SEALs, eh? Why am I not surprised?

quote:

Navy SEALs ordered to remove ‘don’t tread on me’ Navy Jack from uniforms
Carl Higbie
Author, 'Battle on the Home Front'
Nov 1, 2013

The Navy Jack is the ‘don’t tread on me’ flag, one that has earned a revered place in America’s naval history and a beloved place in sailor’s hearts, through its use for over two centuries. This symbol of America’s naval ferocity has spanned our country’s entire existence, flying from the masts of the Continental Navy during the war of independence, to today’s War on Terror. In fact, an amendment to the Navy code called SECNAV Instruction 10520.6 clearly states that as of 31 May 2002 all ships are to fly the flag throughout the duration of the War on Terror.

So why would ranking SEAL commanders ban the historical symbol? Is the proverbial top bass banning the flag? Is President Obama?

Clearly the administration and sycophant “top brass” officers have degraded America’s military prestige; from hand-tying rules of engagement, to uniform regulations that make our military allegedly more compatible with foreign forces, to the banning of an awe-inspiring flag that traces its roots to the first U.S. Navy.

During my two deployments to Iraq, “Don’t Tread on Me” was a phrase seen on nearly every uniform and platoon space — including mine. From patches to flags to large paintings on concrete barriers, our commanders themselves wore the insignia on their sleeves — until now.

...Why would our leaders sell out our heritage? Why would they rob present and future sailors of our battle cry?

When a friend of mine asked his leadership the same question, he was told, “The Jack is too closely associated with radical groups.” We must assume that this thought policeman embedded in the SEAL community is speaking of the Tea Party, whose flag (which also dates from the American Revolution) depicts a snake with the same defiant slogan as The Navy Jack.

This begs yet another question: Who defines “radical group”? The last time I checked, all military personnel are under oath to “support and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” The Tea Party stands for constitutional rights and founding principles of civil liberties and limited government. Radical? Not unless you’re a leftist hell-bent on destroying the foundations of our country. Or as the President has stated as the objective of his presidency, “to fundamentally transform” America.

Trifecta.
Blood on Obama's Hands? Left Blames Obama for Drone Deaths

A thoughtful op piece, IMHO.

I'd be annoyed at the news the Navy has orders to ditch the Flag, except at some point I'll get so angry I'll say something unkind about the #$%@& in the White house.

A comment the President said, that he was a blank slate others project their beliefs on, is important. Even after he said that truth ( see, Barack CAN speak the truth! ) he still has these loyalists who will say "I like Obama, but...." then complain about drone strikes, the Healthcare.gov web debacle, or little things they just can't comprehend, like going to war.

It baffles them. How can the Godlike creature they have given their hearts to betray the sacred goals they hold so dear?

It's because the fans project their own hopes and desires on Obama. Barack Hussein Obama may have given a speech promising to fix the fan's pet peeve, or not mentioned it at all. The Fan Believes that Barack feels the same things and wants the same things as the Fan. Seriously, deeply, believes.

In the world I live in, Barry could not give a damn about his fans. He's happy as can be if the costs of food and gasoline make being a loyal Obama supporter harder. They already voted, he got his. To my cynical eye, Obama is like an inconsiderate lover. He got off, ( re-elected ) so what care he for his lover's pleasure?

Obama does so love to play to the rich. They Give Him Money! The poor? They don't have any, and, make no difference now that he's "won". Since his ideology calls for the destruction of the middle class, ( and "class" is a major thing for these people. ) Obama is not counting on them for more money for his Campaign. ( Still an ongoing money maker for Obama. )

"Class" is a major part of Obama's ( and his minions & peers ) psyche. His lavish vacations are a case in point.

No one can imagine Obama going back to Chicago and mowing his lawn on vacation.

Consider the flack the Press gave Regan or Bush the Younger for clearing brush on their own properties.

The "ruling class" has low opinions of the idea of manual labor, and pride of accomplishment.

Can you even imagine Barack Obama clearing brush with a bush knife and a tractor?

I bet you, Neither can he.

I've done some studying-up on Carl Higbie this morning. Sounds like my kind of guy:

quote:

...Gone are the days of the American war fighter being perceived as a bloodthirsty Myrmidon willing to defend public policy at all costs. What we’re now beginning to recognize is that modern American service members are, the majority of the time, as socially diverse and politically involved as their peers in the private sector.

So begins the troubling story of former Navy SEAL Carlton Higbie and his role in a legal battle that stemmed from a 173 page personal manuscript that he released last year.

Every aspect of Higbie’s ordeal leading up to and shortly following the publication of his book, Battle on the Home Front: A Navy SEAL’s Mission to Save the American Dream, appears to be—at times—as maddening as the current conflict he has become embroiled in.

“I put this in a book not to bash the military, but to improve the system,” Higbie, who currently resides in Virginia Beach, VA, told me during a phone interview. “If I’m going to put my life on the line for my country, I want to make sure things are right across the board.”

...The subsequent release of his book in early April of 2012—which didn’t violate any operational security and was clearly stated in the opening pages that it’s not an official stance by the Department of the Navy or the Department of Defense—set forth a chain of events in which Carl Higbie was forced out of the Navy under suspicious conditions, lost his security clearance and, under more egregious circumstances, had his honorable discharge downgraded shortly after his separation from the Navy from a commander he never met. This particular injection, according to Higbie and his lawyer, Guy Reschenthaler, may possibly be the first known case where the United States Navy reduced a sailor’s character of service after his honorable separation.

Source: http://rhinoden.rangerup.com/citizen-seal/

I've just ordered a copy of Mr. Higbie's book, here: http://www.battleonthehomefront.com/index.html

quote:

Book Summary
Preface: Laying it All Out
I state my views and basic reasons behind them.

Chapter 1: My Background
A brief synopsis of my life and how I grew up including a few specific stories that add relevance to my topics. The purpose of this chapter is to allow the reader to relate and understand my blunt tone.

Chapter 2: America’s Founding Principles
I reiterate the core values of America and how we have strayed

Chapter 3: Selfish, Ignorant People and Their Effect on America
All the dumb things people do that don’t help our country or her citizens.

Chapter 4: Racism, Sexism, Prejudice, and Stereotypes
Ridiculousness associated with overhauled race issues.

Chapter 5: Past Idols and Modern Media Heroes
The difference between yesterday’s and today’s icons that America strives to emulate.

Chapter 6: Entitlement
How so many Americans feel that someone owes them something for doing nothing.

Chapter 7: Government, Laws, and Loopholes
I do my best to make known in the simplest, non political lingo the circus we call the government and how there are double standards and stipulations for different people.

Chapter 8: Military, Bureaucracy, and Their Deficiencies
Another chapter talking about the inefficiency of bureaucratic organizations aimed mostly at the military.

Chapter 9: Idealism vs. Realism
Reinforcing the idea that we live in a real world and not an ideal (perfect) world.

Chapter 10: The Obamanation and His Administration
All the Obama administration’s mistakes not only in the eyes of logic and history but in comparison to other Presidents.

Chapter 11: Proposed Solutions
A cut and dry logical and factually based opinion on what I believe could send this country back down the right track.

The American dream is becoming a nightmare!

And we—ordinary Americans—are the only ones who can stop it.

The truth is, we have collectively sat numbly by and allowed the destruction of our precious dream. We’ve let golden-tongued politicians, power-hungry government, and loud-mouthed liberals lead us down a rosy path of false promises, pie-in-the-sky expectations, and big government give-aways. Now we’re paying the piper with a stumbling Wall Street, outrageous taxes, galloping unemployment, escalating debt ceiling, and a myriad of other catastrophic disasters.

Our beloved America is dying. Old Glory has been kicked into the dirt. Terrorists are on the rampage within our own borders. And we’re still sitting around like the three monkeys—see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil. But the evil is all around us. And we must wake up and do something about it . . . now . . . before it’s too late!

In Battle on the Home Front, author Carl Higbie presents an in-your-face, no-holds-barred exposé of America today. He’s finally saying what most Americans want to say but are too afraid to say. And he pulls no punches! He tells it as it is, calling names of prominent political and public figures—laying it all on the line.

You’ll be shocked by facts he reveals and statements he makes in this provocative treatise.

So, strap in, America! It’s time to charge into action and take back our homeland from the murderers of our dreams and hopes. Like Carl, we need to say:

quote:

If you don’t like America, then leave.
It’s our country, our way of life, and our dream.
And we’ll die to preserve it!

If you start with a cage containing five monkeys and inside the cage, hang a banana on a string from the top and then you place a set of stairs under the banana, before long a monkey will go to the stairs and climb toward the banana.
As soon as he touches the stairs, you spray all the other monkeys with cold water.
After a while another monkey makes an attempt with same result ... all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water.
Pretty soon when another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it.
Now, put the cold water away.
Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one.
The new monkey sees the banana and attempts to climb the stairs. To his shock, all of the other monkeys beat the "tar" out of him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs he will be assaulted.
Next, remove another of the original five monkeys, replacing it with a new one.
The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment...... with enthusiasm, because he is now part of the "team".
Then, replace a third original monkey with a new one, followed by the fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the stairs he is attacked.
Now, the monkeys that are beating him up have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs.
Neither do they know why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey.
Finally, having replaced all of the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys will have ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, not one of the monkeys will try to climb the stairway for the banana.
Why, you ask? Because in their minds...that is the way it has always been!
This, my friends, is how Congress operates... and this is why, from time to time: ALL of the monkeys need to be REPLACED AT THE SAME TIME.

Well, Mr. Prager there pretty much sums THAT up.

http://www.jpost.com/Iranian-Threat/News/Panetta-U S-may-have-to-use-military-force-against-Iran-3303 73

So this retired guy says something.

Seriously, does ANYONE actually believe that a Theocracy that has as it's prime methodology to lie if it gets them what they want, ( remind you of someone? ) will actually honor a treaty? It's not like they ever have since James Earl Carter turned Iran over to the Ayatollah.

Gee, why do I have this bad attitude?

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4448511, 00.html

A local paper, The Jewish Ledger, this week's headline is that Obama has told Congress to go ahead and make all the noise it wants about Iran, but not to actually DO anything. A quick look finds the original article.

http://www.jpost.com/Iranian-Threat/News/Biden-Ker ry-push-US-Senate-to-delay-new-sanctions-on-Iran-3 30329

If I thought negotiation would produce anything but the Iranian Mullah's more time to finish getting their nuke stockpile ready to murder some cities full of infidels, I'd think this was a wise move. Since I don't, I don't.

http://www.jpost.com/Iranian-Threat/News/Lead-US-n egotiator-with-Iran-Washington-hasnt-offered-any-s anctions-relief-to-Iran-330447

Annnnnd... why don't I believe her?

It's a pity Garryb doesn't want to give HIS opinion on these matters. I'm still interested.

As an aside, I've been told by a reliable source, ( un-named, of course ) that the original plan to rescue the Tehran hostages was nixed by Carter. The resulting disaster with the plane crashes in the desert did, ultimately have a positive effect on the US military ( not during Carter's term IIRC ) when they built the Special Forces Command and actually started training different service's teams to cooperate.

The "original" plan was to seize the airspace over Tehran, plaster the nearby air bases, bomb the living daylights out of the area around the Embassy, ( with BLU-82's ) so that the resulting fires and destruction would prevent the Iranian Revolutionary Guard from interfering, dropping US troops ( Rangers? ) into the Embassy, kill every one of the "students" ( Iranian Revolutionary Guard, actually ) evac the hostages with a Fulton recovery system, then drop a last BLU-82 on the Embassy after extraction. Just to be sure.

I always wanted to try this. It's like the opposite of base jumping.

Common Core teaching... Anyone familiar with it?

quote:

Common Core is the name of a program being pushed hard now by the genetically defective control freaks that have always lurked around the edges of – and now have fully infested – what was once the freest, least-intrusive Capitol city of any major nation in the world: Washington, DC. Parenthetically, every time I visit that wretched hive of scum and villainy, I become more and more saddened that we named it after one of perhaps two or three men in all of human history who voluntarily walked away from concentrated power. If we had had any understanding of human nature we would have called the nation’s capitol Arnoldville.

^^^ So says Bill Whittle. I agree.

SAT question: education is to the Common Core System as healthcare is to ______________. If you answered Obamacare, you'd be right. The Common Core is a massive power grab to the federal bureaucracy, and just furthers liberals' plans of indoctrination. Join Bill Whittle in this edition of Afterburner to learn why.
