There's a lot of speculation on the 'web today as to WHY they ran their report on Benghazi. From what I've read, they didn't break any NEW news, just rehashed what we already know.

Why now? Diversion??

Did they focus on the repeated lies by the White House about the stupid video?

Did they focus on the stand-down orders?

Also, did they touch at all on who and where the survivors are, and why even Congress doesn't have this information yet?

This is a piece from Breitbart from June that I have bookmarked. Remember your link last week to all the military brass that has "disappeared" from sight recently, including Ham?

quote:

Benghazi: Tough Questions and Hard Answers
By Chuck Pfarrer, 20 Jun 2013

Another sad chapter in the Benghazi saga will open on June 26, when retired Army General Carter Ham, the former leader of the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), will respond to questions from the House Armed Services Committee.

General Ham was in command of USAFRICOM during the September 11th terrorist attack that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and State Department Communications Specialist Sean Smith dead in the fire-ravaged Benghazi Consulate. Also killed that night in Benghazi were former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, who, after a heroic but unsuccessful attempt to rescue the Ambassador, died fighting on the rooftop of a besieged CIA annex three miles across town.

Benghazi Attorney: Very good evidence people were RELIEVED OF DUTY because they insisted on a military response
The Right Scoop, October 28th, 2013

Benghazi whistleblower attorney Joe DiGenova was on with WMAL this morning to talk Benghazi after last night’s 60 minutes piece and noted toward the end of the interview that there is very good evidence that people were relieved of command because they insisted on a military response and refused to not dispatch troops to aid our men on the ground in Benghazi. He also stated that the main reason there was no response was because the president went to sleep and refused to issue an order allowing our troops to fly into Libya.

quote:

[ Attorney Joe DiGenova: ] Here’s an interesting question. Remember General Ham and what happened the night of the assault on the American embassy? We have reason to believe that things happened that night in the chain of command where people were relieved of their duties because they insisted that there be a military response. We’re working on trying to establish that with some news organizations but there’s very very good evidence that people were actually relieved of command because they refused not to try and dispatch troops and some response.

And by the way, this notion that the administration has put out – it’s this little strawman that military couldn’t have landed in Libya, Greg Hicks has testified and so have some other military people that if there had only been a flyover, that would have dispersed these crowds because they remembered what the American military did its flyovers and its assaults.

There were planes in Croatia that could have been there by the time of the attack on the annex and no planes were ever sent. That was because the president of the United States refused to issue an order allowing for the dispersal of military into Libya because that was considered an act of war. The president, himself, who went to sleep, refused to issue some order.

I absolutely, positively, guarantee you that President Reagan would not have gone to sleep on Sept. 11, 2012. US Forces would have been clawing their way to engage despite logistical issues. Obama slept. We Americans wept.

The ProgLibs here don't have the backbone to admit that Obama cowered away from Benghazi and blamed it on a Youtube.

Cowered? Not so much. That would imply an emotional fear. Obama certainly didn't give a damn about "an act of war". He made that plain when he proceeded to bomb Libya without Congress. I just don't think he gave a damn. He is above this stuff, too wise and enlightened to be bothered.

He told his minions to "deal with it" then went and watched tv in prep for his fundraiser. He's frankly bored with the military stuff, since he has zero understanding of the culture, capabilities, traditions, and methods used by the American Military.

That's why he played cards while waiting for the Bin Laden murder he Also passed the responsibility on. Too freaking boring to watch. He just showed up for the photo op.

The weeks & months of lies afterword are SOP for Obama. That "film maker" is still in protective custody after being blamed for all the worlds ills.

would that make it an assault video? I'm saying it, Youtube promotes assault videos. They should be investigated} by the EPA, DEA, IRS, whatever other agencies the fed's are using to strongarm and coerce Americans.

Obama's Military Purge
The number of commanders fired under the president’s watch reaches alarming levels.

By Arnold Ahlert · Oct. 29, 2013

...Theories for these purges run the gamut. One posits that anyone associated with Benghazi had to go. ...Retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, who has been an outspoken critic of the Obama administration, believes it is part of the president's strategy to reduce America's standing in the world. ”[Obama is] intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower, and anyone in the ranks who disagrees or speaks out is being purged,“ he contended.

Vallely's assessment was echoed by a source at the Pentagon who wished to remain anonymous because the source was not authorized to speak on the subject. He or she contended that "young officers, down through the ranks have been told not to talk about Obama or the politics of the White House. They are purging everyone and if you want to keep your job – just keep your mouth shut.”

This theory finds validation when one considers the Obama administration's larger assault on the military. The military is the last organized bastion of conservative values, due in large part to the nature of the military itself.

...Not only is the Obama administration apparently on a mission to undermine the integrity of the military in this way, but it has also revealed itself to be entirely intolerant of dissent of any kind. Whether it is reporters or domestic opposition groups such as the Tea Party, Obama has made clear he will aggressively pursue anyone who defies his agenda. Now it seems that chilling message his been sent to the military as well.

How important is Virginia in the ongoing "transformation" of the United States of America?

Obama to campaign for McAuliffe in Virginia
Published October 29, 2013 • FoxNews.com

President Obama will campaign on behalf of Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe this coming Sunday, two days before commonwealth voters go to the polls to choose a successor to Republican Gov. Bob McDonnell.

...Former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and first lady Michelle Obama have already campaigned for McAuliffe, who was the chairman of the Democratic National Committee between 2001 and 2005.

I have an appointment tomorrow at the VA for a very small health problem but I'm in very good health so far for my age.

When I sit very patiently in the reception room and scan over the older Vets, some with obviously serious health problems, I wonder just how many will be "purged", under Obamacare as not "worthy" of medical attention and feel that will be the ultimate price they will pay for defending our great country. I do hope the VA will fight vehemently against this and they will stay independent of Obamacare.

I truly believe HE is the one that should be purged from our system as totally unfit for duty and being a complete traitor.

Again I must say "every American needs to get educated and vote wisely in the next two elections to bring our great country back in the right direction. I.E. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
God Bless our great nation. We WILL endure.

Bob, thank you for your service to our great country.

As a veteran myself, I find this thread very telling. As a parent of teenagers, I know what they are not being taught in our public school! Civics and history! The Constitution! Common Core here we come, like it or not parents!

Our country will endure this if we the people do not take this lying down and just hope for the best. Barack Hussein Obama is a fraud. A consummate liar. The every present drip, drip, drip of his arrogance and self importance.

May God continue to give us the resources and the strength to see our way through these dark times in America.

Bob and Two, thank you both for your service. I'm finding it very difficult, the more I learn of our Imposter in Chief, to stay optimistic about our chances of remaining a constitutional republic. I hate to say that, but we - conservatives - are fighting not only the corruption in politics (Democrats and Republicans alike), but a mostly-corrupt media, who have done a REMARKABLE job of hosing down the president with journalistic teflon anytime there's a chance something might stick to him.

It's mind-boggling the crap he's pulled during his presidency, particularly during his second term, and yet the media keeps the masses, for the most part, contentedly chewing on their cud, oblivious to the clear and present danger that faces us.

I have a neighbor who's a good case in point. I've known the man for seven years, but only just discovered he's an 0bama supporter. I could tell, from our short visit, that he gets 100% of his news from the TV, and I'd bet, based on his take on current affairs, that his go-to news source is MSNBC.

Further, he got REALLY animated when I mentioned Ted Cruz. My neighbor DESPISES Ted Cruz and the Tea Party. He considers them to be anarchists (my word, not his, but on the mark based on what he said). Where does he get crap like this? The morally-bankrupt leftist talking heads on the TV, of course.

It's all well and good for us conservative folks in the social media to share real news and information and viewpoints amongst ourselves, and hope that we somehow get the message out to the masses in time to positively affect the vote in '14 and '16, but the machine we're up against is formidable, and playing for keeps.

No, I'm not giving up, but the left does NOT fight fair. They hold all the cards: Federal money and perks and bribes and graft and coercion to buy votes (or entire voting blocs), and a corrupt media to run interference for them.

Further, has there been ANY effort to "true the vote" in the upcoming elections? There is every indication the presidency was stolen last year, but what are we, as a country, doing about it? (That's a rhetorical question: the DOJ is doing everything in their power to make sure we DON'T true the vote. And who does the DOJ work for these days? It damned sure ain't you and me.)

I was doing some research on Cloward-Piven last night, which is a large part of why I'm so depressed this morning. What us conservatives are up against right now is the result of decades of careful, deliberate, mostly quiet planning and manipulation by folks who don't agree with the foundation and principles of this great nation and who wish to transform us into THEIR vision of how a country and its people should operate.

Here's an example of my studies last night. Warning: It's a depressing read. Note that this was written BEFORE 0bama was elected president; we - some of us, anyway - have known the WHO and WHY of this guy since the beginning, and yet...

...somehow he's STILL president.

Sorry guys, I'm feeling pretty blue this morning about our chances of saving our Republic. I concur: "May God continue to give us the resources and the strength to see our way through these dark times in America."

quote:

Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis
By James Simpson, September 28, 2008

America waits with bated breath while Washington struggles to bring the U.S. economy back from the brink of disaster. But many of those same politicians caused the crisis, and if left to their own devices will do so again.

Despite the mass media news blackout, a series of books, talk radio and the blogosphere have managed to expose Barack Obama's connections to his radical mentors -- Weather Underground bombers William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis and others. David Horowitz and his Discover the Networks.org have also contributed a wealth of information and have noted Obama's radical connections since the beginning.

Yet, no one to my knowledge has yet connected all the dots between Barack Obama and the Radical Left. When seen together, the influences on Obama's life comprise a who's who of the radical leftist movement, and it becomes painfully apparent that not only is Obama a willing participant in that movement, he has spent most of his adult life deeply immersed in it.

But even this doesn't fully describe the extreme nature of this candidate. He can be tied directly to a malevolent overarching strategy that has motivated many, if not all, of the most destructive radical leftist organizations in the United States since the 1960s: The Cloward-Piven Strategy of Orchestrated Crisis.

The bottom line is that America will not remain a Constitutional Republic if we remain on this trajectory. I, too, am saddened by the complicity of the media and the Progressive "give me free pizza" victim mentality of a growing number of Americans. The entire world, friend and foe, can see the weakness of this President. Americans can't.

We are in trouble and it is entirely our own fault.

U.S. military commandos fought in Benghazi
Two out of eight in Tripoli sent to rescue, honored for valor

By Rowan Scarborough - The Washington Times
Updated: 7:43 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013

Masked from public view, two of the U.S. military’s elite special operations commandos have been awarded medals for bravery for a mission that further undercuts the Obama administration’s original story about the Benghazi tragedy.

For months, administration officials have claimed no special operations forces were dispatched from outside Libya to Benghazi during the Sept. 11, 2012, al Qaeda terrorist attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission and CIA annex because none was within range.

The Pentagon, under intense public criticism for not coming to the aid of besieged Americans, published an official timeline in November that carefully danced around the issue.

...But sources directly familiar with the attack tell The Washington Times that a unit of eight special operators — mostly Delta Force and Green Beret members — were in Tripoli the night of the attack, on a counterterrorism mission that involved capturing weapons and wanted terrorists from the streets and helping train Libyan forces.

When word of the Benghazi attack surfaced, two members of that military unit volunteered to be dispatched along with five private security contractors on a hastily arranged flight from Tripoli to rescue Americans in danger, the sources said, speaking only on the condition of anonymity because the special operations forces’ existence inside Libya was secret.

The two special operations forces arrived in time to engage in the final, ferocious firefight between the terrorists and Americans holed up in the CIA annex near the ill-fated diplomatic mission in Benghazi, the sources added.

...Pressed why the Pentagon and administration officials did not publicly acknowledge the special operations forces’ contribution that tragic night, the sources said officials decided that their anti-terror work inside Libya was sensitive and closely guarded. In addition, U.S. officials did not have a Status of Forces Agreement in place that would have authorized the troops’ presence, the sources said.

...The revelation that some special operations forces did make it to Benghazi the night of the attack is the latest to undermine a carefully crafted story line put out by the president and his aides in the weeks leading into the 2012 election. The administration has since acknowledged that parts of that story line were misleading.

I am a Conservative and don't need to shape shift my position to tell you why Obama is now the worst president in United States history.

The answer, sadly, is easy.

Barack Obama is a liar.

I'd welcome anyone, holding an opposing opinion, to share their position.

And . . should you find the courage to do who . . please, also while you're here . . .explain to me why we even have to debate if congressional staff should be subject to the same laws the rest of us are.

And . . to clear one thing up . . it is, most assuredly, NOT "Illegal" for Kathleen Selbelius to sign up for Obamacare. She looked like she'd been told she was about to be water boarded at the very mention of having to be part of what she proscribed for the rest of the nation.

It's sad.

It really is.
