Doesn't sound like they are closing, in fact they would like more business.
I'm very impressed with the exchange of emails that I've had with the company and plan on making another purchase.
I suggest to anyone that is considering a jacket to place your order soon as these are not "off the shelf", and give them all the detailed measurements for a custom fit/ pocket requirements. Can't get that from Carhartt

For those of you that have your jackets,if you click on the concealed carry pocket pic, there is an image of a guy with his hands in the outside pockets.http://www.brunsclothing.com/concealed.htm
My question is,the pockets appear to be quite high.I checked all my jackets with outside pockets and looking at the diagonal opening, the bottom of the opening ranges from 3 1/2" to 5".I'm not talking about the bottom of the pocket, but the bottom of the opening. In the image of the Bruns jacket the opening looks so high as to be uncomfortable. What do you guys think?

Mine is not uncomfortable. In fact, the pockets seem to be right where they should be.

Buellish,

The pockets are a little high, but not uncomfortable. And they are deep enough that I can put my wallet in one and cell phone in the other while wearing the jacket on the bike and feel confident they will stay there and not fall out. I would have liked the openings to be a little larger and would recommend to ask them to be made a little larger than normal if possible.

You can ask them to put the pockets a little lower, and I bet they will. This is a custom jacket and they are flexible in how they make it.

Rode down into the high 20's and was comfortable with the jacket and a CAMBER arctic hoodie underneath. I bet the motorcycle specific with thinsulate is awesome.

Whisperstealth, could I trouble you to measure the distance from the bottom of the opening to the bottom of the jacket and the width of the opening?

Buellish,

From the bottom of the pocket opening to the bottom of the duck fabric is 7". There is then a 2" ribbed bottom/trim piece. So a total of 9" from the bottom of the pocket to the very bottom of the jacket. The pocket opening is 6". Hope this helps.

It does help.I can compare your measurements to those on my jackets and I'll know what to ask for when I speak to Bruns.
Thanks

Just received my order. It took about a month and a half, but that includes 8 days in the hands of the US post office. 2 day priority mail turned into 8, no explanation.

$65 basic, added hood, thinsulate, phone pocket, concealed pocket = $85 delivered.
Couldn't be happier, well made product.

Bob

My order arrived last week. I took Ernie's jacket over to him today, and he really likes it. (Brown, zipper, Byron collar). When I ordered the jacket, Lee told me he had one just like what I ordered, but in Black, not brown; so I figured, "What the heck" and bought it for myself. I really like it,too.
I'm happy. I hope they're able to stay in business, I love to see an American made product be successful!

minor glitch, he forgot the right inside pocket, but i called and he said he will either refund me, or i can send it back and he will make it right.

other than that, the jacket is perfect!!

my SP101 fits perfect in the carry pocket!
