Had the first ever season of racing at Willow Springs with MotoWest GP. Missed half the season with unforseeable mechanical and personal issues but still finished top 10 in my 3 classes: Middleweight Twins, Formula Twins Heavyweight, Formula 50 (if you have to ask, you're not old enough!)

I have to say that I truly miss Earl Kellerman. The man was a great friend, mentor, would give me shit with a great smile. I still wonder about his having chosen me to be at his bedside when he breathed his last.

Debated racing this month - I hadn't been in the saddle for 4 month but it was Sunny and Ernie Snair who reminded me that Earl ALWAYS wanted me to have fun. He'd ALWAYS ask when I came off the track - "how'd it run?" and then "Well did you have FUN?"

Earl, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU: 3rd in Middleweight Twins this month. Miss you man! (always will)

Earl

Many congratulations from the Anthony Family here in Sugar Hill Georgia.

It's really great that you pay homage to carry on the memory and tradition of those who have gone before.

Good on you, sir... and Godspeed in your racing endeavors.

Steve, what a nice tribute to an old friend.
The rest of us can only hope folks speak so kindly of us when we are gone.
Congrats on the great season!

Brad

From what I know of WS, 1:39 is darn fast!

That wasn't your average lap time, or was it?

We were on the Streets running backwards. Fast times on Streets at pro level are in the 19s. Big track is pretty similar. Low 20s are super fast. My best ever on the big track was in the 1:31 times... in 2004

The Parting Glass

Of all the money that e'er I had,
I spent it in good company.
And all the harm I've ever done,
alas it was to none but me.

And all I've done for want of wit,
to memory now I can't recall.
So fill to me the parting glass
Goodnight and joy be to you all.

So fill to me the parting glass
and drink a health whate'er befalls,
then gently rise and softly call
Goodnight and joy be to you all.

Of all the comrades that e'er I had
they're sorry for my going away
and all the sweethearts that e'er I had,
They'd wish me one more day to stay.

But since it fell into my lot
that I should rise and you should not,
I'll gently rise and softly call
Goodnight and joy be to you all.

Fill to me the parting glass
and drink a health whate'er befalls
then gently rise and softly call
Goodnight and joy be to you all.

But since it fell into my lot
That I should rise and you should not,
I'll gently rise and softly call
Goodnight and joy be to you all.

So fill to me the parting glass
and drink a health whate'er befalls
Then gently rise and softly call
Goodnight and joy be to you all.

Goodnight and joy be to you all.

Here's the results for Moto West GP Championships at WS. Steve's in FORMULA 50 HEAVYWEIGHT and FORMULA TWINS HEAVYWEIGHT.

Congrats for hangin' in there.

Wasn't Earl part of the pit crew that helped Shawn Higbee win on RodRob's 1190RS last year (or was it the year before)? Nice fellow.
