This rabid Federal Government, led from the Spite House, allowed an illegal immigration rally on government property today, while our brave WWII veterans get shut out at the barricades. Pelosi was there is support of the illegals. This government is sick and may the Democrats and this Resident be tickled with feathers in Hell for all eternity for their disdain of the bravest Americans. This is unforgivable and will be remembered forever. How can anyone vote for an unpatriotic Democrat when the time comes? How?

...the treatment of our fallen heroes and their families

that is disgusting. This is not the action that ANY American patriot would take.

They are not fallen heroes in the eyes of our "commander in chief". They are meaningless pawns whose stories he can try to use to make Republicans look like the real enemy.

This is coming from the same administration who said, "the taliban are not our enemy per se". Obviously, none of them have had team mates get shot or blown up by taliban.

What time is it, kids?! It's cut-and-paste time! Taking the country back from the imperial federal government is becoming a reality. Stand down Resident Obama and sequester yourself in the Spite House. Or go play golf.

Finally, there is a patriotic Occupy movement.

Occupy America! Park Visitors Storm the Barrycades
By Michelle Malkin · Oct. 9, 2013

Could this be the end of Monument Syndrome? Across the country, ordinary Americans are rising up in revolt against the old Washington tactic of closing public parks and memorials during selective government “shutdowns” to score political points. Tax-paying tourists are tossing off the orange traffic cones and “Barrycades.” Enough is enough.

The movement started with waves of World War II veterans who flew to D.C. last week as part of the Honor Flight Network. (The nonprofit group brings our surviving heroes to visit the memorials that honor their service and sacrifice.) The vets and volunteers breached the fences last week, exposing the tone-deaf tactics of President Obama's Spite House. Honor Flight visits continue this week, and more vets vowed to defy the cynical closures.

They are not alone. At Gettysburg National Military Park, tourists broke through barriers and posed for pictures on the battlefields with notes reading, “Catch us if you can.” One visitor reported that motorists formed impromptu caravans as rangers chased them. “Strength in numbers,” they tweeted.

At Mount Rushmore and in the Badlands of South Dakota, families barreled over hazard cones. Their photos went viral on Facebook. In Wisconsin, GOP Gov. Scott Walker defied the National Park Service and opened state parks that Obama-crats wanted closed because they receive some federal dollars. At the Mingo National Wildlife Refuge in southeast Missouri, a group of 20 protesters defied threats of arrest to enter the park.

“This is to get some knowledge out there that the federal government has its fingers in everything, including our own land in our own states, and, out of spite, they'll shut it all down,” Jackson resident Brian Bollmann told the local press.

In Michigan, tourists crossed police-style yellow tape and construction barrels to get to Munising Falls in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Twitter users posted photos of the broken barriers over the weekend. The Mining Journal reported on one visitor who simply stepped over the tape: “'Well, that worked, huh?' she asked rhetorically.” Take that, manipulative federal overlords.

At Zion National Park in Utah, hikers scaled the fences and wondered why so many supposedly furloughed workers were working to keep them out. One visitor, highlighted at my Twitter aggregator Twitchy.com, described her experience to me last week at the scenic tourist spot:

“(W)e were advised by the park ranger at the gate that we couldn't stop our car at any time in the next 12 miles. To ensure that we didn't pull over at any of the scenic viewpoints, cones were placed at every turnoff. That didn't stop people, however, as many were getting out, moving cones and quickly taking pictures. People were incredulous at that restriction, as if they could somehow shut down our ability to enjoy our surroundings. … I did enjoy seeing an elderly couple, in a display of civil disobedience, leave their car and walk hand in hand on the red rock.”

Welcome to Occupy America. It's a protest movement for all ages against Washington business as usual. Thanks to social media, citizens outside the Beltway are now able to voice their disgust in an unprecedented way. Through Twitter, Facebook and blogs, they are directly disrupting the well-worn politics of government parks-and-wreck extortion.

From closing down parts of the ocean around Florida to booting elderly citizens from their private homes on Lake Mead to shutting down private restaurants and farms that just happen to sit on federal land, the Democrats' overreach has finally backfired.

The explanation for this ridiculous Obama obstructionism can be summed up in one word: Control. Control of the people. Control of the partisan narrative. Monument Syndrome, perfected under the Clinton administration, is about inflicting the most visible pain on citizens to demonize political opponents. Big-government advocates in the media enabled the manipulators.

For decades, taxpayers were passive pawns in this gamesmanship. No more. Monument Syndrome, R.I.P.

Good stuff from John Stossel who is a Libertarian. Conservatives, Libertarians, and Tea Partiers are all in agreement that the Government must be made smaller if America is to survive as the shining beacon of freedom and opportunity. I suspect some Liberal Badwebheads are starting to question their passionately held philosophy is failing America. The match has been lit and the prairie fire is starting.

EXCERPTS:

"Government wants you to play a role in the “shutdown” of the federal government. Your role is to panic."
...
"If the public starts noticing that life goes on as usual without all 3.4 million federal workers, we might get dangerous ideas, like doing without so much government. Politicians don't want that."
...
"Maybe the ugliest part of this story is that the city that whines most about suffering through the shutdown, Washington, D.C., is now the richest geographic area in America. Washington got richer while the rest of America didn't. Over the past 12 years, median income in the U.S. dropped about 6.5 percent – but not in D.C.! There, it rose 23 percent. Four of the five richest counties now surround Washington, D.C.

No wonder politicians and bureaucrats are convinced big government is essential to keep the economy going – it is essential to keep them going."

This shows how the MSM is covering for Obama. The title is "Poll: GOP Gets The Blame In Shutdown". Obama's 37% approval rating is buried SEVEN paragraphs into the story. Can you guess what the headline would have been if this was President Bush? The MSM is nothing more than the propaganda wing of the Obama administration. They are dead forever to me.

So, is this...

...part of what I think is an ongoing plan to foment civil unrest to the point where Dear Leader gets to finally declare martial law?

He CANNOT assume he's going retain control of the Senate next year. If he loses the Senate, and we retain control of the House, he then becomes truly impeachable (instead of the little love tap on the dick that Slick got...).

Heck, maybe even a charge of treason becomes an option with an R super-majority in Congress.

So, between now and then, what can the Chosen One do? Well, he certainly excels at fomenting strife and civil unrest, unlike any president we've ever had.

To what end, however? Is he racing US to the midterms??

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/10/08/heres-h ow-the-owner-of-a-private-inn-barricaded-by-park-r angers-amid-government-shutdown-is-responding/

quote:

“I’ve been there 35 years, [and] let me tell you what’s strange here,” O’Connell added. “The Blue Ridge Parkway, which is the park, is open. They did not close the park…there are tourists traveling the whole 470-mile length of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I am a private concessioner, paying money in to the government, and yet I am closed. I’m having trouble understand that part of it.”

Beck asked if there’s any reason why the government would be targeting him, and the man responded that he is not particularly outspoken on politics, but he does believe in small government.

“Well, you’re an enemy of the state then,” Beck said sardonically.

“I’m sure by now I am,” O’Connell responded with a shake of the head.

I like that individuals are standing up to their government. Make it clear that they work for us!

We actually own some land that the Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore has kind of claimed on their maps. It's a real pain in the arse explaining to people who are trespassing that they have a map that is a lie from their government. They have never paid us one thin dime for that land despite a low ball offer from them back in the 70s. We own it. We pay taxes on it. They print maps sending people onto our land. At least with the government slow down, they aren't sending people to trespass on private land. They haven't tried to deny us access yet. The really couldn't if they tried.

Sadly there are families who have fought what they are doing with Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore for generations. We do post the land "No Trespassing", as do our neighbors. The courts side with the government. Basically we own land that we have to pay taxes on, but aren't allowed to sell to anyone except the government. Technically we can sell it, but the government has rights of first refusal, but who in their right mind would enter into a contract where they are buying land that they can't do with as they please. To make things even more difficult, this land has been parceled out into 10 acre plots, and the government basically chopped all of those right in half. We aren't supposed to be able to do anything without approval from the park service, including cutting of trees. That may or may not be an observed rule, I really can't say. As much of a pain in the @ss all of this is, this is what they feds want to take from us...

We plan to pass it to the next generation to say feds. That makes it all worthwhile. Having a private lake isn't bad either!

BTW, the park service has a very corrupt record on this in Michigan. They waited for generations for some to willingly give up their land at low ball prices right on the lake shore. Suddenly the government got a bug up their ass to get the folks out and started condemning properties under eminent domain laws. Once they had the people who lived there for generations kicked off they promptly sold it all to a developer who built a golf/ski resort. F*** the feds!

Typical government asshattery! Ms POS starts her "let's move" program, which appears to be more vital to the government than the amber alert to keep children safe. They have the post office print up bajillions of stamps to promote Ms POS's program, only to decide that actually encouraging kids to be active may be to damn dangerous. So now they will destroy all the stamps. I wonder if this means they can take down Ms POS's web site and reinstate the amber alert site?

http://postalmag.com/blog/?p=2149

I don't think Mr POS will go for that either.

Where are the Leaders? Good piece by Reagan.

Government by Tantrum by Michael Reagan.

Waaaaa! You're not playing fair!”

“Waaaaa! You're going to bankrupt America!”

“Waaaaa! You guys started it!”

The crybabies in Washington are at it again.

Arguing, name-calling and throwing heated rhetoric around like “extortion” and “blow the whole thing up,” our so-called leaders are acting like out-of-control little kids in a sandbox.

They haven't begun hitting each other over the head with chairs or waving weapons around on the Senate floor, but give them time.

It's government by tantrum again. It's government by threat and scare tactic and selective shutdown of federal programs.

It's government by and for the people in government, instead of government by and for the people who elected them.

It's the petty, partisan kind of government we've been getting for too long and the kind we can't afford and don't deserve.

And it's time for the bums in Congress and the president to quit trying to score political points over the debt ceiling, and start acting like responsible adults.

The House and the Senate need to get their legislative acts together.

They need to pass the 13 appropriations bills like they're supposed to, negotiate their differences in conference committees and then do the job they were elected to do – pass the darn legislation.

We all know Washington is not going to let the U.S. government default on Oct. 17, so let's cut with the fear mongering and rhetoric.

All it does is make the markets fearful. It makes investors fearful. It makes retired people fearful.

By delaying and dithering and crybabying, our so-called leaders in Washington have made everyone in America nervous – and angry.

One reason the D.C. crowd can't lead is because they're so politically spineless. They can't decide how to vote on anything important without reading a poll. I bet they don't pick a tie to wear until they've consulted Gallup.

But leadership is not looking at polls. Leadership is leading.

My father was a leader. He went through six government shutdowns under Tip O'Neill. But Ronald Reagan led, and we came through the 1980s with a growing economy that benefitted all Americans.

We need leaders in Washington. We don't need whiners. We don't need fear-mongers.

We don't need poll-watchers and wimps who can't make a principled vote on issues of national importance like the debt ceiling, the budget or Obamacare.

If no one has the courage to stand up and lead in Washington, maybe we should default.

Maybe we need to show the rest of the world that America has finally hit bottom.

Maybe we should admit that we've finally become Europe or Greece. That we've finally become the United States of California.

All because we lack leadership.

As far as I can tell, most of the people in the United States are completely fed up with all the B.S. in D.C.

I think they'd agree with me that starting today the message from all of us to our federal politicians should be, “Get the job done or resign – all of you.”

pResident POS has shown his hatred for the military once again.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/jay-carney-says-we-d ont-need-legislation-to-pay-military-death-benefit s/article/2537106

quote:

President Obama opposed passage of funding for veterans' death benefits because the Fisher House Foundation has agreed to cover the costs, according to his spokesman.

"The legislation is not necessary," White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters Thursday when asked about legislation approved by the House and Senate that would pay for those benefits. "Our view has been, this piecemeal funding is, again, a gimmick."

Given the opportunity to do the right thing pResident POS chooses to kick the survivors of our military heroes to the side. This is incredibly vindictive and callous. I really can't begin to express my disdain for this small man.
