Bless us for not electing him president. Barry obviously plans to extract maximum propaganda effect from this. Expect any chance to make your life harder to be taken. Any service that can be in your face about closing "because the Republicans are X." ( X= mantra of the day. "teabaggers" "my way or the highway" "hate Obama" ( ok that may be true ) ) At this point the House seems to have one option. Partial funding, dept. by dept. and have the Senate reject all of them. Some opine the R's should have waited for the "debt ceiling" to ask for concessions, not the budget ending. Based on the fact that Harry Reid and Obama don't give a damn about budgets, and will just blame the R's for anything, and get away with it. Now it's possible that this could drag out until the "debt ceiling" is broken. If I was Barack, I'd executive decision it away. Executive "order" sounds so...... authoritarian. you know, Banana Republic. Dictator. All that other stuff Obama insists he isn't. | ||

One of the Fox pieces I read on the ww2 monument and the "storming" Indicate that a senator a former Marine escorted the vets and helped open the barricade, oddly enough he was a republican .... the "park police" initially declined to give the 2 million biker ride thru dc a permit but allowed the moslem march to be permitted. IMO this closing was targeted by the petulant, ungrateful unamerican progressives that are currently in charge. 2014 is coming I hope that americans are getting fed up and realizing what is going on. | ||

If there is no money for the parks, how did they pay the people to set up the barricades? I wouldn't think an open air memorial would be something you have to close. They didnb't close the walkways on the national mall. That's part of the park too. Seems like a vindictive act to me. | ||

Resident Obama is blathering about something on TV, saying that he "has bent over backwards". Switched the channel to the Military Channel which was airing the Higgins Boat's involvement in D-Day. While watching the thousands of heroic GIs storm the beach, it became ironic how this Resident treats our Vets during the partial shutdown of the Federal Bloatacracy. Looks like they plan on beefing up security to keep the marauding gangs of wheelchair riders under control.
