It's a long story that I won't waste your time with...but I left negative (deserved)feedback on a seller for a $7.00 antique wrench. Not worth the trouble or time to do anything with it.
Anyways, the seller had the negative feedback remove within a couple of hours. No communication,no resolutions or investigation no nothing, the feedback simply vaporized......how did they do that?

You simply click a button to appeal the feedback. Both buyers and sellers can do it. It doesn't guarantee they will remove the negative feedback, but there is always a possibility.

That quick and easy huh?
That sucks because the next buyer won't have my heads up that the seller can/could be a dick. I base my buys on feedback, number of sales and questions answered by the seller. Only had one problem in a 1,000 buys over the years. And that one turned out great for me and didn't hurt the seller.
Oh well........./

I had a guy report me for item not received within a few days of auction close with the item still in transit and without contacting me first. Ebay froze my PayPal account for two weeks over that nonsense. The guy got his item the day after reporting it. Aggravating.

I sold a scanner to a guy on fleebay. It didn't scan a frequency he wanted to listen to. Legal issues/ manufacturer could not sell it with that ability. He didn't like it and posted neg. feedback for me, without ever contacting me. I would have refunded his money. Even after mediation and offering him to keep it free, he wanted to leave neutral feedback.
He kept it, noting it was as advertised, and came right away.

Drives me nuts when people wont let you make it golden.

"I left negative (deserved)feedback on a seller for a $7.00 antique wrench. "

-----

Can you tell us exactly what you stated in your feedback?

I'm guessing that you used "defamatory" remarks or said something that violated the seller's "rights".

I have learned my lesson when giving negative feedback and no longer "speak my mind" (to put it mildly) as I know the recipient can easily get the feedback removed it I've violated a feedback policy with my remarks...

I gave up selling on ebay a good few years ago, after a guy welched having won the auction for a Mercedes Benz that I was selling.
He then left negative feedback for me after I contacted ebay about the non-payment.
Ebay refused to remove his feedback or his comments. So **** em I sell elsewhere now.
