--Burt Prelutsky

When I think about the 2012 election and realize that if Mitt Romney had received the same number of votes as John McCain did in 2008, we would have rid ourselves of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Kathleen Sebelius, Lois Lerner, the Affordable Care Act and an over-reaching EPA.

Whether millions of Republicans stayed home on Election Day because they had been bribed with food stamps or simply couldn't bring themselves to vote for a Mormon, it is worth recalling what John Stuart Mill wrote 150 years ago: “A person may cause evil to others not only by his actions, but by his inaction, and in either case he is justly accountable to them for the injury.”

Mill also observed: “The worth of a State, in the long run, is the worth of the individuals composing it."

If a President waives a law that breaking would be an impeachable offense, then....... Golly gee, is this metaphysics or snake oil?

Can Obama waive the laws against murder, then beat someone to death, and be legal?

Obama: 'Raising the Debt Ceiling...Does Not Increase Our Debt,'

Who does he think he can convince with a stupid ass statement like that? OK, technically correct, it doesn't increase the debt directly. It is only needed because we keep increasing our debt though. I really don't even care if BO is smart enough to understand this distinction. It really doesn't matter in the slightest. What does matter is that BO operates as if he is to stupid to understand this difference. It's time to put a stop to the madness.

The nerve of this Resident of the United States. Politicizing everything is not the way to unite, especially when brave Americans were being simultaneously murdered a few blocks away.

He just received a 47% approval rating in a poll. Interesting because 47% of adult Americans do not pay ANY federal income taxes. Think this is a coincidence? Without a Conservative move to limit the power of the Federal government, the United States of America is doomed and there is not much time before we all go down the suckhole.

Sounds like Romney was correct all along.

Truth and Consequences for Benghazi
By Jonah Goldberg · Sep. 20, 2013

...Clinton picked four of the five members of the “independent” board, and they were kind enough to show her a draft before they released it to Congress. The ARB assigned all meaningful blame to some mid-level officials. ARB members declined to interview Clinton because, according to testimony Thursday by Ambassador Thomas Pickering and Admiral Michael Mullen (the chairman and vice-chairman of the ARB), they determined at the outset that it wouldn't be necessary. None of the people who were interviewed for the report were under oath.

...Congressional Republicans would like to get relevant witnesses to testify under oath, but they claim that the State Department and CIA are blocking that. CNN has reported that many potential CIA witnesses have been subjected to “frequent, even monthly” lie detector tests to discourage them from leaking information. One insider told CNN: “You have no idea the amount of pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation.” Said another: “You don't jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well” if you talk to anyone about what happened. Congress 101, Congress needs to pass a budget. Gee, thanks. Why haven't you EVER signed one?

http://nationalreview.com/corner/359108/obama-were -not-some-banana-republic-andrew-Johnson

Earlier today, the House voted and passed a continuing resolution to fund the federal government except for Obamacare through the end of the year.

And Harry, over in the Senate says he won't deal with it. Just like Harry doesn't allow any budgets from the House to come to a vote. ( which is what the law says is supposed to happen..... the House passes a budget, the Senate votes on it, the President signs or vetoes.

Not that the law matters to these guys.

sorry the despicable act of leaving the room when the benghazi victim family tell their stories before congress is not treasonable

were I acting in that capacity ( house of rep, ) and a conflict of scheduling came about I would have apologized to the families on the spot publicly, and asked for a transcript of the hearing at that time for later. so that the families knew I was concerned to hear their stories.

NO, refusing to look at evidence is not treason. Nor is the statement that this was a show put on by the R's to humiliate them which they wisely did not allow.

It IS part of a cover up FOR treason. IF Benghazi really was a gun runner op ( per the NY Times ) to send weapons to the "Syrian rebels". Although no formal declaration of war has been issued, ( or anything like one, Since WW2, or since Bush got Congress to authorize force ) the Prez has repeatedly claimed we are "at war with AQ". ( mostly to avoid admitting that The Jihad Is At War With US ) and supplying weapons to AQ IS treason.

Of course, Obama gave himself a waiver on the law against giving weapons to terrorists at war with the US. Apparently over a year AFTER he went to rest up for a Vegas party leaving his minions to "deal with it".

I suppose he could pardon himself for laws he broke before declaring that the laws don't affect him. He is, after all a Constitutional Scholar.

http://nypost.com/2013/09/22/hillary-to-huma-dump- weiner-or-youre-out/

Gotta get ready for the next Glorious Leader.

Apparently she's as Honest with herself as with others. But, hey! What difference does it make?

Asked is she wrestles with running for president, Hillary said, “I do. But I’m both pragmatic and realistic. I think I have a pretty good idea of the political and governmental challenges that are facing our leaders, and I’ll do whatever I can from whatever position I find myself in to advocate for the values and the policies I think are right for the country.”

“ I will just continue to weigh what the factors are that would influence me making a decision one way or the other,” she said.

But confidantes insisted Hillary has no choice but to enter the race.

“She’s running, but she doesn’t know it yet,” one source said. “It’s just like a force of history. It’s inexorable, it’s gravitational. I think she actually believes she has more say in it than she actually does.”

“She’s doing a very Clintonian thing,” another insider said. “In her mind, she’s running for it, and she’s also convinced herself she hasn’t made up her mind. She’s going to run for president. It’s a foregone conclusion.”

The Good news is we now know "Clintonian" means dishonesty with great gravitas and absolute conviction. Implies mental illness and narcissism on a global scale.

The Resident of the United States is a campaigner, not a leader. The inability and downright refusal to negotiate, while blaming virtually everyone else for his own problems, has not been seen in any POTUS in my lifetime.

Nice job of Filking.

( I know that's a sci-fi/fantasy genre, but simply "parody" isn't right, ( Weird Al ) And I don't know the proper term for a political "filk". Like the definitions of the form of expression over shadow the expression itself... Bite me Marshall McLuhan... )

http://www.filk.com/filk101.htm

( ok, looked it up, the proper term for a political filk is "political filk". Who'd have guessed? )

The current political rancor, while not all that abnormal, is certainly irritating.

I myself don't have any magic cures for this crap, from the dishonesty of the administration to the threat of global war. Ok I have some thoughts on the global war, but what I should ask my Representative to do about it is a bit more complex. I'm down to basic Constitutional rights.

The tactical/stategic political stuff? Really don't have a cure for that short of orbital kinetic strikes. ( which is what the CIA should have been doing instead of Chemtrails. )

It would be great to have that back. BO has taken the worst of GWB and gone an order of magnitude beyond. It's a shame that he seems to lack any good attributes to offset the bad.

Thanks for closing with an insult patches, that certainly helps credibility. :/

Conservatives did have one major criticism of Bush... that he spent like a drunken sailor on shore leave.

And conservatives did have one grudging acknowledgement of Clinton... he ran the business of the country pretty well for a liberal. Didn't screw up businesses *too* much, did some good welfare reform, etc.

But facts is facts, and the Clinton budget surplus was a result of a booming dot.com and real estate economy, which of course turned out to be to some degree a bubble.

Everytime I see an old anti-bush bumper sticker, I read what it is trying to say and think it now needs a "... so we should impeach Obama" addendum sticker beside it.

I agree with Reepicheep. We haven't had a Conservative President since Reagan and the Long Grey Line of Liberals (your so called "W" included) is gutting our country with good intentions. I am not sure why you consider Bush a plutocrat as he had the consent of Congress. Obama has consistently disposed of such pettiness and ignores the Constitution.

If I had to Explain it to you, You Would Not Understand ANYWAY!

thats a dodge, please enlighten us,

Clinton did not have to deal with
9-11
katrina
etc.

Gore would have made it a huge -up...

I don't agree with all that Bush did.
I don't agree with much this socialist racist president does.

please prove me wrong....

Obama said he would cut the deficit currently 16 Trillion, and growing
He actually said that its "Unpatriotic" to continue this debit,

Obama said he would fix health care
I lost my insurance, and will loose it again at the end of the year, the prospect of my premium tripling ( 2x my house note! )
is not a good one

Obama said that he would usher in an era of "transparency", "He said that he would investigate all of the executive orders that bush issued" ( words from his own mouth ), I wonder how many he has issued todate?, We know he saved holders a$$ with one on F&F to hide the facts,

They most certainly are transparent, every thing is done to attain more power, regardless of what the constitution says..

The president and the Democrats passed the Dodd Frank Act, this has been one of the most destructive bills for business in the US, like the afordable health care act it is a huge honking binder full of stinking legalese $hit, supposedly to "protect" the little man. Try getting a business loan or working on a line of credit, not likely to happen......

Please explain the admins actions on ....

Fast and Furious and attempted cover up what about Brian Terry's death ....

The IRS targenting with other acts and attempted cover ups...

The Benghazi incident and the deaths of 4 Americans, the LIES AND ATTEMPTED COVERUP.

Calling Fort Hood "Work place violence"

The enormous growth of DHS under obama

The repeated politicization of mass shootings, telling the secretary of defense to handle it on Benghazi, and then off to bed for a fund raiser........

AND the latest in a long line of blunders the syria red line.

The left talking heads spew evasion lies and misinformation.

please correct me with the facts,
I am willing to listen to FACTS.

I watched a lot of C-span to reach this point. no spin just the words out of their own mouths.

I thought that the video was well done though ( sub obama for bush )

waiting.......

"When George W Bush became President, Our Government's Budget was balanced to the +PLUS+ side."

Yeah, not so much. The surplus was "projected" and never materialized because of the aforementioned dot com bubble bursting.

But you knew that, didn't you?

And lets not forget that the semi sane spending during the Clinton years was the result of a Republican controlled house and a Senate that actually had the balls to vote on a spending bill. Clinton, to his credit, knew how to negotiate. Obama does not, unless it's with countries that wish us harm.
