Rein: I have known that the AARP-DA bought into the thing I "round file" their stuff with out even opening it. NC's Democrap Kay Hagan is up for re-election this year, so I am going to get involved in her ouster, The Ken burns piece on prohibition is an eye opener.... One thing that sticks out in my mind was the lobbyists one in particular who held considerable say on officials being elected, they ( the drys ) had their own media outlet and production means. kinda like Hitler the piece is on net flix. | ||

If the AARP had just taken a thoughtful position and advocated for it transparently, even if I disagreed with it, then I could stomach that. But the adds they were running were (IMHO) flat out false and designed to confuse. So they lost me as a potential customer... forever... I won't forget. | ||

Obama just came out on the side of the Muslim Brotherhood from his Martha's Vineyard vacation with his millionaire and billionaire friends. The Muslim Brotherhood wanted this massacre while Obama spouted meaningless platitudes while canceling a military exercise with Egypt. Obama's only job is to protect America's interests in Egypt, the Suez Canal and the peace treaty with Israel. Now the Muslim Brotherhood and the Egyptian military despise us as we become powerless and irrelevant in Egypt because of this most most exalted and Wonderful of US Presidents. Obama does not understand that the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization that acted no different than the Nazis when they came to power via democracy in Germany. Egyptian women noticed. Egyptian Christians noticed. Egyptian businessmen noticed. Egyptian gays noticed. Egyptian seculars noticed. Egyptian tourism industry noticed. Obama did not notice. Here's an interesting statistic: it seems that Obama has been a very uncompassionate president at least when it comes to granting pardons, clemency or commuting sentences - a total of 39 in his first four years. You'd have to back to John Adams to find anyone who has used this power less. Considering the number of first-time drug offenders - a large percentage of them inner city African American - this is surprising to me. Maybe it's just that these guys aren't potential campaign donors. In that case Jesse Jackson Jr. needs to pony up quick. If I understand it correctly, the US Dept of Justice (Eric Holder), Office of the Pardon Attorney, presents petitions to the president for his approval. Under the heading of Commutation Applications (basically early parole) going back to Nixon, the average presidential approval rate was 1 in 184. Take GW Bush out of the equation its more like 1 in 85. By comparison, Obama has approved 1 in 8,126. A real "man of the people" to be sure. Ref: pardonpower.com | ||
