Personally, I like the skirted fender. Very nostalgic. And...a good tie-in to heritage.

Remember, when you're just starting out and trying to bank on Heritage...you have to appeal to the Lowest Common Denominator. Use small words, and draw pictures for the large words. If a fender makes people think of an old Indian...use a fender.

For now.

Then, once you gain footing...expand.

Hmmm...that sounds like another fledgling motorcycle company we know...

I like the look of the fender. It fits the personality very well.

Are the forks inverted?
I can't find a good pic of the rear suspension.

Forks aren't inverted; mono-shock rear. Here's a pic from advrider showing a stripped chassis.

For what it is I think it looks great but I haven't seen one in person.

I also get the Jimi Hendrix Castles Made of Sand line stuck in my head every time I see this thread. That's not too bad.

One thing they could have learned from Harley is the triple tree arrangement. The dressers have the forks behind the goose neck. I think that looks better and your handlebars are't so much like tiller bars! I don't like the Victory for the same reason. Maybe it's patented already? The rest I like. As far as the front fender, my gosh, it's an Indian Chief! It's supposed to have a big fender! If they sell well then I'm sure they will bring out a scout model that will be a bit more sporting and maybe a bit more modern looking.

I wonder if the aluminum seat supports can handle the stress of fat-assed Americans hanging over the rear wheel like that.

It actually looks rather cool like that.

You could buy one & bare-bones it. You'd probably make back a good part of the price selling off those scores of lbs of ugly sheetmetal.

Not to mention the time & money saved polishing.

I like the low seat height. An 800 lb. bike, though?... not so much. But I would have to ride it. It would be about the feel of the ride for me.
