I am looking to get a Magnum R/T, I keep hoping to find a rare 08 but I am not that picky as along as the mileage is decently low.

Today I found an 05 with only 17k miles online. Based on the pic of the drivers seat, I think I believe the mileage.

Is there anything I need to look out for on the Magnums/ LX chassis?

I can't believe how hard it is to find one that has not been lowered with chopped spring and not sitting on 24" chrome rims.

Strut rods and NAG connectors.

If you need spare anything let me know. I still have some stuff from my totaled 05...using the drive train for a hemi swap but got all sorts of switches, panels, speakers, gauges, trim, the nav stereo and bezel....oh, and the SLP loudmouth exhaust : )

My friend has one of those. I don't know the year but the front end suspension components were crap and wore out before 60,000.
His audio package had a GPS and the whole thing's interface depended upon a tiny joystick which failed pretty early on.

It was not an R/T but it sure hauls groceries in a hurry!

It's high on the list of possible rides when we get moved.
Iirc it's based on the old e-class Mercedes platform, but I've no idea how much interchangeability there is.
New models have a suspension rework courtesy of Lancia .

it's NOT based on the old e-class mercedes, thats a common misconception. It was an entirely new platform that drew from both the upcoming e class, and the outgoing s class. Its a weird hybrid of the two, while also utilizing unique components and engineering designed to meet the needs of the platform.

Also, you have to push the traction control button to OFF and then play "Team America" theme at maximum volume in a haze of liquified rubber.

I think the lines of the car still look good today. It's one of the cars I wanted but never got as I tend to keep mine a long time. Long enough for a model line to come and go between purchases.

Be warned - the RT has MDS (shuts off 4 cylinders for economy when cruising). The SRT does not.

Ah that explains the massive difference in MPGs.
