Sorry to detract from the DR thread. Night leg craps and old fat guys. If you are on a statin drug like Crestor, it really depletes your CoQ-10, causing night cramps. Agonizing, merciless night cramps. Even if you are not on a statin drug, your Coq-10 levels decrease with age. Get some Coq-10 take 300-400 milligrams a day. And watch your electrolytes. as that can throw the old electrical system out of whack too. We now return to the DR-650 thread already in progress. |

I'm 29 and it's been happening since I was a teen. It usually happens after riding bicycles and motorcycles. It's in my calves usually and won't let up until they are stretched, which can be agonizing. Potassium can help, or so I've read. Thanks Wolf, I checked out ProCycle and it's tempting. I'd like to sort out the seat issue first, then see what kind of trouble I can get into with the suspension. It will probably never been the Buell, but I think a better spring in the rear and springs in the front with Race Tech valves should make it way nicer. Then a skid plate and panniers. Then the adventure sidecar. |

Did you get one? I was looking at the Seat Concepts cover and their in-house one. Find a muffler for your bike yet? |

I went with the seat concepts cover after a 60 mile ride. As soon is I got off the bike I went straight to the Procycle website and ordered it. I'm on the fence about the muffler. I want the most MPG I can get so I may leave it alone |

I like the dr - but it is too damn tall, or I am too damn short.... I would really dig a noveau Scrambler in the 450 arena - the 650 just too much for how I intend to use it, where I want to use it |

29" Inseam and it's touchy sometimes. I'm considering upgrading the suspension with a lowering kit. I've heard that the seats help a bit too. |

Why? It can be lowered about 2" as it comes from the factory. The suspension link has a lower position and the forks have a spacer that can be relocated to lower them as well. |

I believe it's a Rotax single cylinder. CCM used to build bikes for the British military. Chris C |

I have been filling up with the gas can at the house ever since I brought the DR home. But yesterday I paid for my first tank full at the pump. went 121 miles on 2.304 gallons of gas = 52.52 MPG Not bad |

I took the girlfriend for a ride today on the DR and passed 200 miles. Still REALLY need a seat. Will be doing the suspension lower when I do heavier spring and emulators. I'm getting with of the chicken strips, but it wallows in the sweepers... |

Those boxes look about the same as the Happy Trails boxes I have.Holds lots of camping gear. I take the racks and everything off when not using them but I should just leave the racks on cause they're a pain to install. |

Kenda Trackmasters? That's what I ran on my KLR-250. A pretty good tire while the knobs are sharp, and affordable. The rub is that you will loose the sharp knob after just 1000 miles or so of pavement. It will still be better than a street tire on the dirt, but it won't have that "go anywhere" feel like a new sharp knobbie. They will "catapillar" through hard turns on pavement also, it will feel like you are loosing the back, but it's just kinda walking out. So they stick really well, but it is unnerving. |

What say you about Dunlap D606 tires? I'm looking for something with staying power. The reviews for the Trackmaster are showing worse street wear than supersport tires. |

I didn't like the way the dunlaps cut on fast dirt, they tended to 'walk' on pea gravel - not a confidence inspiring event in a straight line, I would expect it in the corners - but it kept my speeds under 45 for the life of that tire. I never went back to them. |

I had 606's they had tons of traction off road for me but I didn't care for the noise and street manners. I'm running Kenda K270's now, they're a bit better on the tar. |

I picked up the complete pannier rack set up with the tail rack for the roto pack and some Pelican copies for $400.00 shipped. Looking for a large trunk now. It's hard to get a fair guess on size with the trunks... |
