Local craigs ad here in Austin, TX, not mine. I don't agree with it but I thought it funny anyway.

http://austin.craigslist.org/mcd/3896645545.html

Here is the text of the ad if it goes away:

Call me if you want to know more about this hideous monster. I honestly can't figure out what this bike does correctly. It must be something, because everybody seems to want one.

It's uncomfortable on the highway. Way too buzzy. Your arms are asleep in about 5 minutes.

It weighs a million pounds, so you can't take it offroad.

It's got too much power for such a small chassis.

You can't take it cross country, because the tank is too small.

It's awkward around town.

It's too tall.

It's ugly as hell.

Honestly, I don't know any reason you would want to buy this bike?

But anyway, if you still want it I'm asking $2000 less than current retail price on it.

Runs great, everything is up to date.

Good luck.

Wow! What a ringing endorsement! He must really want to sell this with a ad like that. Unless he changes his wording in the ad, he might not be able to sell it. A good salesman knows when to keep his opinions to himself.

Funny. But he's kidding himself if he things $4k for that is $2k below retail. I'd say $4k for that is about $1k above retail. Especially with that monstrosity of an exhaust, and the bedliner airbox cover. Who knows what other abominations have been visited on the poor thing.

Bet it runs like crap with that exhaust.

Actually he loves the bike. He's been forced to sell it because his wife hates it, thinks it's too loud and ugly. Why else would someone "try so hard" to sell something...

I agree, they're hideous. Everything else is a pack of lies.

My XT is the perfect motorcycle for me, I just don't want to look at it.
