The one day that changed the tide of World War 2...to those who are still around that were there and to those who never made it to the beaches and the ones"still there on the beaches"....thank you for what you did.I always thank every one of them, every day,anywhere.....you can't miss them...you see it in their faces. They ARE"pages of history" and when they're gone...they're gone.I always enjoy listening to their part of history involvement....always feel very humble being in the presence of someone who was there..they're all life size heroes ..as well as the other heroes who are still there. So ,again, thank you for what all of you did. |

Well said. And for any of you guys who might make it over to Europe any time, the Beaches & harbours & museums & the cemeteries are "Don't Miss" stuff. |

The D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA is worth a visit at any time, and we have great riding roads around it as well... http://www.dday.org/ |

Mr grumpy...i some day would very much like to visit over there and go to all the "sites" and monuments and the fantastic museums that are there......very "moving" to be at those places...expecially "on the beaches"...imagining all the carnage and death for the victory and eventual end to World War 2....even the cemeteries overlooking "The Beaches"..even more moving. |

As a person who studies WWII I truly appreciate the enormous effort needed to pull off all the landings. As a veteran I can not even come close to understanding what those men faced and accomplished it can not be explained but it must never be forgotten!!!!! |

OK - I don't own a TV but it was reported to me by reputable person that the History Channel on June 6th had a Pawn Stars marathon. Is this TRUE? There's not enough "History" to feature on the D-Day anniversary? Double You Tea Eff?
