Just picked up a fully loaded 2013 Ford Flex for the wife. If you're anywhere near North Georgia, I would highly recommend Chestatee Ford as your dealership. Friendly, fast, not pushy. Best experience I've had at a dealership of any kind, ever. The amenities in this vehicle are amazing, from the giant touch screen, smart keys, power everything, the leather, horsepower, the list goes on and on. Needless to say, the wife is thrilled, and I might even get to drive it on the weekends! |

Your grandmother's station wagon, this aint. Honestly, the interior is nicer than any car I've ever had. Fit, finish, integration of electronics, multi zone climate control, leg room and head room. It really is the total package. |

I knew a guy that bought an old caddy hearse with the monster 500 engine. He chopped the roof off of the rear and made it into a sick pickup. I think that he told me he had 6 bikes in there at once. The problem? Flexy chassis. Passenger cars typically use the roof to stiffen the whole chassis. I think he ended up selling the monstrosity for cheap. Wait. What were we talking about again? |

I have been impressed by Ford's offerings as of late, My mother recently purchased a Fusion, I have rented the Focus and Fusion like em both. If the Misses' new car is like my truck has been you can expect good service from it. The flex is a station wagon, that IIRC was the appeal for mom and dad, A car with the ability to carry more than a sedan. Thanks for the heads up on the dealer, where abouts are they again? |

Chestatee Ford 44 Lumpkin County Pkwy Dahlonega, GA 30533 (706) 864-6504 Brent is our salesman up there, great guy. Oldog, it's about 415 miles from you but what's a 6 hour drive when upwards of $30,000 is on the line, right? |

(Insert Crocodile Dundee "thats not a knife" voice here...) That's not a wagon...THIS is a wagon:
Ran low 13 second quarters back then, I'm making headway on its current 5.7 hemi transplant...and it carries a 4x8 sheet of plywood with the tailgate closed The fords are neat though. I keep thinking the sides, with those indents, need some airbrushed wood like an old woodie! (Message edited by ratbuell on May 29, 2013) |

I saw it when it was just a concept car at the LA Car Show called the Fairlane. The interior was outfitted with three rows of bucket seats. The Flex is seriously cool. Gotta love that new car smell. |

The fridge is a stand alone 12v unit not tied to the ac, however it is 790 bucks. Bought my wife a 2013 with everything but the fridge and had to add heated seats to the second row. Runs 14.9 out if the box, and have been told the with a calibration and exhaust it is well into 13s Paddle shifts are too much fun with the ecoboost. But that means you do not get the advertised mileage. |

Fuel mileage is definitely not the strong point of this vehicle... averaging about 18mpg but I find myself not caring about that at all. |

Glad they didn't use the Fairlane name. The Flex is cool but Fairlane was a muscle car. It'd be really cool if Ford made a new Fairlane as a competitor to the Dodge Charger. ie - full/mid sized car with cool styling and optional high-powered V8, just like the original. My first car was a 1967 Fairlane with a 390. I loved that car, hate that I lost it (it's a long story) but I'll have another one day. |
