Please don't click on this ad if you've just had a nice meal or are feeling under the weather. Guaranteed to induce vomiting. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/mcy/381788015 3.html Are the drugs getting so strong that those under the influence are totally oblivious? What would prompt someone into doing something like this! Jeez!! |

Wrought iron fork. Wow. I like the nut grabber seat/rear fender. Very useful. |

First off, leave it to a 206er (Seattle hipster) to actually think that thing's cool. Second, hardtail!?! WTF!?! Third, we all know how well the rear brakes work on these things... that bike is a death trap! He can keep it. OTOH different strokes for different folks and if he likes it, more power to him. It's just too bad they screwed up a perfectly good XB to build it. |

overall its not HORRIBLE but i dont like how sloppy the front looks, and the light is way too big other than that - as long as he is happy with it then good for him (or whoever buys it next) it could be much worse |

he fails to mention that the 'Award' was either for 'blind motorcycle builder of the year' or 'Scrapyard Challenge 2012' Either way, it's a dog whichever way you look at it. |

It's plain dogsh&t! Funny how you take a perfectly good xb, turn it into an unrideable piece of sh&t and then ask 3 times what its worth. We see it here too all the time, a honda superdream butchered to look like a so called cafe racer for sale at 10 times what it's actually worth. |

Check the supposed builders facebook page, it looks like he's actually done some really good work. There's another buell, tube frame, that isn't too bad. Maybe this XB is some really early work, or maybe this is just what some customer wanted. (Message edited by notpurples2 on May 21, 2013) |

The above is a Sportster with a scavenged Buell front end, wheels, and brakes. Hardly ground breaking and definitely not an improvement to the donor bike. |

That sporty is almost there.... if you put knobbies on a bike, and intend to ride it off pavement ... forward controls are the WRONG choice. (you look like Paul Jr on that Gander Mt thingie ) other than that, I dig that ride make it a Blast 500cc to lower the weight, add some saddle bags, reroute the exhaust a bit, move the controls - and hello new fat weight hooligan trouble maker saved to favorites. |

I don't think that is a sportster motor, looks more like a big twin or S&S equivalent. That chain run just looks ridiculous! |

"I don't think that is a sportster motor, looks more like a big twin or S&S equivalent." correct me if im wrong, but I think (THINK) that all HDs have chain/belt on the left/clutch side EXCEPT for sportster/buell |

so what i mean by that is - i think you are wrong. and i think it might be buell - look at front head, mounting locations to the front like what would be needed to mount to frame on a buell tube frame |

Thepoints cover area just didn't look right for a Sportster motor to me, but you are probably right. However....it is still a dog awful motorcycle in my humble opinion, whatever engine propels it slowly and wobbly along |

That looks like a Sporty/Tuber engine to me. Parallel pushrod tubes. Right side drive. Timing cover does look a bit odd, but it's in the right place. My guess would be some decorative cover that sticks out more so you can see it better with the exhaust wrapped around it. I find it pretty tasteful. The tires and exhaust are bad choices though. |
