Aesquire, I was actually alluding more to organized crime in those Latin, Christian-loving countries, not necessarily revolutionary fronts & such.

Frankly, I'd feel much safer in Amman, Jordan among those "lying, murderous Muslims" than in any place Mexico's Zetas hold sway.

Buellkowski, I don't believe in expelling someone for their faith either.

I also refuse to give up my own because I will be murdered for it. Stubborn of me.

How about you? Ready to convert? Are you willing to lie and say you have converted, ( to claim second class status ) or lie ( or not, I don't know your faith ) and claim to be of a faith of The Book? ( to claim third class status )

Keep in mind, The Prophet Himself allowed his followers to lie about their faith. Given the example of religious persecution against the Jews and Monophystites (Christians who didn't believe in the Holy Trinity ) Mohammed told his followers to lie about being Muslim if that meant they would be persecuted, or revealed as a spy or saboteur.

Subsequent Hadiths on the subject by Mullahs after the Prophets death extended that to a close match to the Soviet version of "lies that advance the cause are good".

So, gonna lie to stay alive?

I'll give you that anti-drug laws in nominally Christian countries are a major cause of gang violence. Islamic nations have even harsher laws, and they do as much good.

Granted that Tony Soprano is fictional, aren't most mafia types Christian? It's not like evil guys don't come in all faiths. I bet there are dozens of murders every year by Buddhists.

Very few Drug Lords murder in the name of their Lord. You can't equate deliberate genocide based on religion with Capitalism Gone Wild.

Jordan? Hah! Pick a country that doesn't have a cool King. You'd be reasonably safe in Syria, too, until we instigated the revolution. How about we give you a Prophet Cartoon t-shirt and have you walk through the pensions of Paris?

>>> So if Germans living under the Nazis are afforded a measure of exculpability by your previous reasoning, why aren't law-abiding Muslims?

Maybe they can be.

How can one be "law abiding" when one is a loyal member of an organization committed to totalitarian conquest, brutal oppression of the conquered, the extermination of infidels, and the imposition of sharia law?

The German people repudiated Naziism and Hitler's genocidal policies. And the Nazis had surrendered unconditionally. Have the Islamists who are at war against us surrendered unconditionally?

Ask any religious person where their first loyalties lie, with God or with country? The answer is only problematic for America for one major religion, islamism, on account of islamism is not just religion, but totalitarianism seeking the destruction of secular govt and all infidels.

When Muslims do the same as the Germans did wrt Naziism and demonstrate absolute unequivocal repudiation of totalitarian islamism, when they produce official fatwa and revised religious doctrine clearly eliminating and repudiating all the malevolent hateful mandates from their "religion", when they affirm commitment to secular govt, when they repudiate sharia law, when they tolerate criticism of their religion and its inventor/prophet, then they are welcome to stay.

When the history of every single region of growing/expanding Islamist violent jihad in the world demonstrates that Islamists indeed do mean what they say, that they indeed do operate with great patience and cunning according to what their quaran and Hadith mandate, why should we ignore risking the same outcome in America?

Patrick,

What is different in America from other nations that have fallen to islamism that will allow us to avoid the same downfall? What will prevent Democrats from offering capitulation in order to secure the ever growing Muslim vote? They already have two in congress.

They are allowed to swear in on the Quran, a book that mandates violent jihad and the extermination of Jews.

We need to learn from other's failures.

No enclaves like in France. No second class citizenship like in Germany. No forbidding the criticism of ANY religion. Including yours, mine, or anyones.
THERE IS NO RIGHT TO NOT BE OFFENDED

Uh, I suppose you start with the right to free speech, religion, and defense. If you don't have those, you don't have any.

Disobey.

The difference between us and the failing Social Democracies is, simply, us.

I either believe we are such stubborn A--holes that we won't put up with it, or, I suppose, I end up dead at the hands of the thought police.

They have to kill me, I'm too cowardly to suicide.

They already exist. Drive through Patterson NJ sometime. How do you prevent islamists from populating one local?

We've in effect already done that. How many major news media outlets ran the Danish Mohomod cartoons? None. Why? They were cowed by fear.

I've lost complete confidence in the American electorate. I think we're due for some serious suffering in consequence of our transgressions. I have a strong sense that we may well see war in America in my remaining lifetime. I pray we retain our republic and the rule of law. The news media, popular media, the universities are all infected with leftist ideologues. Half of the population is dependent upon fed govt assistance. The situation is dire and our options are few. Without another Washington/Jefferson/Reagan, we may be over.

The Islamists have vast sums of wealth to buy influence.

Blake we've always had fresh immigrants that cluster together. Here in Rochester we had Italian, Polish, Ukranian, Puerto Rican, etc. 'hoods. ( sometimes the same 'hood at different times ) Today, in student housing and apt. complexes catering to students, we have a huge population of Indians, Iraqis, Chinese, with lots of Koreans, Saudis, and Turks.

That's normal, expected, and natural. What we cannot allow is immigrants as a law unto themselves, and the areas no police dare go.

France has this problem for a few reasons, In no order,

France imported a large amount of cheap labor as the European nations birth rate has declined below replacement. A social Democracy is a Ponzi scheme, and needs fresh income from labor to keep afloat. ( we have this problem, but not quite as bad )

France has politicians of the idiot lefty stripe that gain power from division, class/race/caste envy, and they protect the situation for their own power. ( we have this problem at the Highest level )

France puts it's immigrants, on purpose, in low income housing to keep them away from sight. The "Other" is not really welcome there, as they have no tradition of the Melting Pot. ( we have that problem, but not the same way, it's directly related to OUR lefty idiots using race envy for power. The Real Americans still like the Melting Pot. )

France does not really accept immigrants as citizens the way we do. Germany is much worse, with "real" German citizenship restricted to, how can I say this? The Germanic tribes. All those Turks and Vietnamese they imported to work in factories for cheap, and support their Social Welfare State, have no hope of ever becoming true members of that society.

In the case of Islamist immigrants they have no desire to be part of society, they want to make their new homes the same hells their old ones were.

So far, we have avoided the worst of the Islamist enclave problem, but it's going to take both effort, education, and an admission of the problem.

Since this Administration has no intention to EVER admit who the enemy is ( in part because they ARE an enemy to our society, in part because of idiot leftist racism, and in part, because the President was schooled in a Madrassa. ) We have a growing problem. It's not yet insoluble, IMHO and Barry only has a few more years left to disarm and oppress us. ( unless he's going to fulfill some nasty paranoid fantasies, in which case I'll be dead, and it'll be the Free Republic Of Texas's problem )

Here's an interesting article on "Egypt's Next Revolution"

http://www.smithsonianmag.com/ideas-innovations/Mo na-Eltahawy-on-Egypts-Next-Revolution-204121441.ht ml

In the café, when I ask her about the violence she was flying back into, she is nonplused. “I have a lot of friends and family who are very concerned about me,” she says, “But I try not to think about it. I’ve already had my arms broken and I’ve been sexually assaulted, so I’m hoping they’re not going to do any more than that.”

Now, was someone defending the rape gangs?

The Homor killings?

The Father and Uncle who tortured to death with electric shocks a 15 yr old girl for refusing to marry the 54 yr old Uncle? The Mother of the Murdered girl who doesn't want her relatives prosecuted because what they did was right?

The genital mutilation?

Wasn't there someone here defending that?

I've been following the question of the Saudi kid since the beginning. Big Sis and the FBI have "contradicted" themselves almost daily on the guy.

Not only that guy, but the two that are actually accused of the bombing. To some degree I'm not too surprised, but basic details have dramatically changed from one day to the next, often being in direct conflict depending on what government official is speaking. One big detail that isn't nailed down well is, did they act alone. To believe they acted alone, you NEED to know where the bombs were built, without members of their household knowing anything about them. I've heard ZERO on this point.

I also read something about one of the guys originally identified as persons of interest, but "cleared" (not the Saudi kid) was found floating in a river. I'm trying to not become a conspiracy theorist on this, but solid information on this seems as bad as the attack in Benghazi.

As our esteemed former First Lady and Secretary of State declared "what difference does it make". This, my friends, IS the difference. Their "old country" culture is being allowed to foment here in America and our elected officials/we the people are not standing up and decrying this practice. Some of us, but not enough of us!

I work with people from other countries, some in their 50's, who think socialism would do this country good. They have no intentions of "melting in".

In fact, we haven't had a melting pot in America since the pre-Vietnam era.

Someone identified as OldgeekMA posted this in Yahoo on one of the gun confiscation stories:

"Unless there is a hidden clause, in the in the 2nd Amendment, anyone Advocating or Seeking to Infringe on the 'right to keep and bear arms" is committing an Unconstitutional Act and is thus Guilty of Treason. That includes the NRA, the 3 Branches of Government, the Sandy Hook parents, and all the rest. Every citizen has the right to keep and bear arms, even the mentally ill and criminals. If you want to change that, it requires the 2nd Amendment be rewritten to include, restrictions on types of weapons, who can own them, and what they can be used for, then a 2/3rds vote in Congress and ratification by 3/4ths.(38) states. If you chose not to modify the 2nd Amendment, every law that infringes on the peoples right to keep and bear arms is Unconstitutional. Including Background Checks, The Federal Fire Arms Acts, and CCW Laws."

I agree

I disagree.

Everyone has a right to keep and bear arms.

Infringing upon that right would entail preventing people from owning or carrying arms.

I don't see how a NICS background check does that. Not saying I agree with universal background checks, far from it, just that having to be subject to one doesn't reach the level of infringing upon my rights.

Same for the CHL license. Everyone still has the right to carry concealed. We just have to go through some due diligence. Well except for states and cities that prohibit or onerously regulate that right. Those I agree are blatantly violating the constitution.

Released felons who've served their time ought be allowed the same rights as law-abiding citizens? I agree. If they aren't trustworthy enough to own a firearm, then they aren't trustworthy enough to be released into free society.

Maybe reinstating released felons' 2nd amendment rights will give the heart-bleeders a little pause in their agenda to set violent men back among free society.

Prohibiting me from owning any military personal firearm does infringe in my view. In that I agree!

Islam, the religion of peace? I guess that's more true than pretty much every other country in the world. Here in the US only 8% of Muslims believe that targeting civilian in the name of Islam is OK. That's damn near 1 in 10 folks! Targeting civilians! To put that in other terms, 8% believe in terrorism if it is perceived to promote Islam! This is in a country that has the most moderate Muslims in the world.

Deceivers ought to be held accountable.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/benghazi-ta lking-points_720543.html

senior Obama administration officials knowingly misled the country about what had happened in the days following the assaults. The Weekly Standard has obtained a timeline briefed by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence detailing the heavy substantive revisions made to the CIA’s talking points, just six weeks before the 2012 presidential election, and additional information about why the changes were made and by whom.

...it is clear that senior administration officials engaged in a wholesale rewriting of intelligence assessments about Benghazi in order to mislead the public.

Within hours of the initial attack on the U.S. facility, the State Department Operations Center sent out two alerts. The first, at 4:05 p.m. (all times are Eastern Daylight Time), indicated that the compound was under attack; the second, at 6:08 p.m., indicated that Ansar al Sharia, an al Qaeda-linked terrorist group operating in Libya, had claimed credit for the attack. According to the House report, these alerts were circulated widely inside the government, including at the highest levels. The fighting in Benghazi continued for another several hours, so top Obama administration officials were told even as the fighting was taking place that U.S. diplomats and intelligence operatives were likely being attacked by al Qaeda-affiliated terrorists. A cable sent the following day, September 12, by the CIA station chief in Libya, reported that eyewitnesses confirmed the participation of Islamic militants and made clear that U.S. facilities in Benghazi had come under terrorist attack. It was this fact, along with several others, that top Obama officials would work so hard to obscure.

Would they???

Six Belgian senators introduced a draft resolution in the Belgian Parliament that would make "Islamophobia" a crime punishable by fines and imprisonment. A person would be guilty if he "considers Islam to be violent, threatening or supportive of terrorism…" or "considers Islam to be a political ideology, used for political and military purposes to establish it hegemony."

In other words, jail for telling the truth.
