Who will we support? The Syrian People? Or the Jihadi?
I'm concerned that Obama "drew a line in the sand" and it looks like a real loser no matter what.
IF he assists the overthrow of the Asad regime, the odds are good that the Muslim Brotherhood guys, who are getting support from all the worst people, will end up in power, and that will lead to a larger war. ( Israel, Europe, US )
IF he doesn't, after making noises about chemical weapons, we lose what little credibility we have left after 5 years with this guy backstabbing our allies and praising & bowing to dictators.
Looks like lose/lose.
I'm no big fan of Asad. But he has one of the best armies in the Arab world. ( never mind the purple camo on his elite troops, Syria has fought Israel and nearly won more than once ) His weapons are very nearly the latest Soviet issue, and Syria has a huge investment in anti-aircraft weapons. His people, as long as they don't try and overthrow HIM, have more freedom, and women are not oppressed as badly as most of the region.
If the Muslim Bro's win this, the rape gangs, murder of non-muslims, and other totalitarian, murderous crap will be like Egypt, but worse.
Did I mention I'm having Deja-vu? We know that Asad has chemical weapons, just like Saddam Hussien did. In fact, according to both Israel and the Russian General in charge of the convoys from Iraq to Syria, Asad has a bunch of Saddam's stuff. We've known that. He may be using Sarin nerve gas.... or it could be the rebels, ( depends on if you believe Israel, or Asad ) and the US president is now got his foot in his mouth and his head up his.............
Yep, BO drew a line in the sand and promised to take action if crossed. Asad crossed that line and poked a stick at us. I'm sure he is factoring in that it's a lose/lose proposition for us. Are we really considering giving weapons to al Qaeda? Isn't that kind of insane? Of course at this point if we don't arm our enemies, we look weak to the rest of the world. Who's side is BO on again? It doesn't seem like he's on ours.
well, if Bengazi was an arms tranship point for Libyan guns to go to Syrian rebels, ( as speculated by some in Congress, but...."what difference does it make?" ended the discussion ) then yes, we are shipping guns to AQ.
Is the Muslim Brotherhood AQ? Is it Tuesday? then yes. The MB predates AQ, and the Venn diagram for islamist a--holes seems to show a lot of overlap, but AQ is not in charge of MB, but a subset that has a lot of the same people. Who gives the orders? several people in several factions. The ONE thing they all agree on is they hate Israel, and Western civilization.
In Syria, the local, normal, rebels seem not to be as ruthless or as organized as the MB/AQ Jihadi forces. Unless we support the right folk, and not the Jihadi, Asad's regime will be replaced by worse.
Since Barack Hussein Obama has Muslim Brotherhood influence in the anti-terror forces Domestically and the US government refuses to define the Jihadi as the enemy, This can go very badly.
The victims of the Ft. Hood Jihadi murderer have been denied Purple Hearts because the Army Psych Doctor who mind-f*&ked his patients, corresponded with a Jihadi Obama chose to murder, then screamed the praises for His God as he shot disarmed people ( in a gun free zone.... deja-vu ) is NOT an enemy combatant, but "workplace violence".
I'm past annoyed on that one.
Based on past performance from Obama, we're screwed.
ah f$ck We go into Syria, and the Russians are going to hop into the farcus sure as the nights are dark and bacon tastes good. I suspect my phone will ring. I will tell them to go F#ck themselves .... I will not serve in the military under this 'Commander' in Chief.
I made the decision in the aftermath of the Supreme Court decision 12 years ago, to respect the rule of law. I strongly disagreed with their opinion, said so, but the rule of law is the bedrock of American democracy. There is no intermediate step between a final Supreme Court decision and a violent revolution. what was best for the country, the answer was very simple, to respect the rule of law and avoid undermining it and dragging the court into a partisan squabble where the outcome would not change in any case. So I am going to stand by my decision to respect the judiciary," Gore said.
First, Al you lying sack, you lost. When the furor was over the Newspapers conducted a full recount, and you lost. They didn't make a big deal out of it, but you lost.
Second, nice to know you didn't think you could get away with violent revolution. Loser.
Now, if the Florida Supremes had responded to the Federal Supremes with the answer to the question "why are you doing a partial recount only in areas where you think Al will win?" instead of refusing to admit they were partisan hacks, the Supreme Court wouldn't have ruled as they did.
The RULING was you can do another complete recount, or accept the last recount, but you can't cherry pick for votes unless the Florida Supremes explain why they want to. They did not, you may not, and oh yeah you piece of super rich trash, you lost.
Happy to hear If I got the above wrong, with references, not "Bush Lied People Died" lies.
City, you think Russia will side with Asad, their client, against the US, with their Puppet in charge?
I thought Obama had "more flexibility" to commit Treason now?
They have sided and sponsored with Syria since WWII, and they would love an additional warm water port Syrians have long been Soviet / Russia proxies for doing party agenda dirty deeds when they needed to maintain a charade of plausible deniability and avoid direct troop action by their own forces. And 'flexibility' to what was never clarified. The comment was made to Medvedev. Putin runs the show, he is KGB old guard, and has in direct terms told Obama to quit meddling in domestic affairs of countries he has no f'n business being in. In essence - go put your own house in order.
I fully agree with Putin. Obama needs to knock it the hell off - even if , by golly, it means packing his shiate up and getting out of office. He continues to alienate and attack the rich, while disenfranchizing the military and their subsiderary and supporting Intelligence agencies.... The graffiti is on the wall.
Never at a time before in our history did 'Supporting and Defending the Constitution' fly in direct opposition to the Oval Office. The Czar, his ministers and their families were eliminated before the Revolution - expect the same again.
it is not like we have not had a seat in the theater, or a perch on a grassed knoll before it is not if, but when.
In fact that lie seems to be the reason that YOU instigated Fast & Furious, to make your lie true. We now know it was you, because you claimed executive priv. to protect your minion Holder from impeachment.
No other reason has been given, except by Holder, who was caught in multiple perjury while doing so, so I have to assume you or an eager minion started the program that has led to hundreds of murders with guns YOU sent to Mexico.
Conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to violate US gun laws, Conspiracy to violate international arms agreements.
Impeach, and unless Obama can produce an actual Birth Certificate, instead of a pdf file, Send to Gitmo as an enemy Combatant.
Admittedly, this is a partial PUI posting as Lighton just emptied my liquor cabinet (against my protestations), which I would have expected of FB1 but here goes. Do any of you actually believe a single word that Obama is saying to you? Be honest.
Is it time to run the clock on this failed President so he can not do any further harm to our Nation?
I love his Mexico/Costa Rica apologize tour of the USA. Wonderful never disappoints.
I believe he BELIEVES what he is saying, in that he has an agenda at every point he opens his mouth. That none of it is new, nor his, is quite telling if you have read history.
Yes it is time to put this one in a box seat at Ford Theater, or in a 63 Lincoln drop top in front of a grassed knoll and a book depot.
And when he has served the meme of the overlords pulling his strings - it will be done. Call it the Presidential Half life Lincoln to Kennedy - 100 years Kennedy to this guy - 50 years Idiot x to the other guy 25 years next chump to door knob 12 years moron to 6 years and so on enjoy the show - it kicks off soon
Unfortunately, you've grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that's at the root of all our problems. Some of these same voices also do their best to gum up the works. They'll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices. Because what they suggest is that our brave, and creative, and unique experiment in self-rule is somehow just a sham with which we can't be trusted.
"Black is white, up is down, don't listen to others, what I say is all you need to know. There must be no debate, anyone who disagrees must be against our nation."
except that this guy has done nothing with in the frame work of the Constitution - so yeah - I don't F'n Trust you ; AT ALL - except that you will lie, cheat, steal, kill for your agenda. F'n Marxist Revisionist tyrant.
Read History - it should prove what a puppet he is, and which way the strings are being pulled.
Tomorrow might be a seminal day in Obama's presidency with the Benghazi hearings. The whistle blowers will be demonized by the oligarchs and their sycophants but if their message gets out, then others will step up with their testimony. We might have Watergate all over again. Obama needs to step down or go play golf. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have led a cover up since 9/11/2012.
Obama literally sicken me as well as the fools who voted for this monstrosity.
Tom, F&F should have taken down 0bama (and it still may), but at the last nanosecond he invoked executive privilege to protect (or protect himself FROM) Holder.
It must be nice to be so far above the law.
The Benghazi scandal makes F&F (and Watergate, and "I did not have sex. With that woman.") look pretty tame, IMO.
Will the mainstream media continue to carry Barry's water, or will they FINALLY start reporting the truth?
The coming days will, IMO, determine the future of our great Republic. If an American president can get away with something like Benghazi, well, we're pretty much done.
The White House might have wanted to mute its response to the terrorist attack in Benghazi for fear of inflaming Anti-American sentiment. Perhaps the President did not want to acknowledge a successful attack by an al-Qaeda affiliate on the anniversary of 9/11—right before a national election. Maybe it was just all “Keystone Kops” at the national command authority on the night four Americans were killed at their posts. It could be a bit of all three. The problem is, nine months later, we still don’t know for sure.
Dramatic hearings are expected today as Gregory Hicks, a State Department official who was on the ground in Libya during the 9/11 attack when four Americans died, talks to a House panel.
Some of his testimony from pre-hearing interviews with committee staff has already been released to the press. It includes claims that a Special Forces team that could have helped save lives and safeguard evidence and classified materials at the U.S. facility had been ordered to “stand down.” In addition, Hicks contends that from the outset, the ambassador’s team knew that they were under attack and reported that to Washington.
Hicks’s testimony follows a House Republican Conference report and a detailed article on the “Benghazi Talking Points” in The Weekly Standard that further call into question the credibility of the Obama Administration’s response.
What is becoming increasingly clear is that (1) the Administration bungled security before the incident; (2) the response to the assault was disjointed and inadequate; and (3) the Administration made a consistent and considerable effort to hide these facts.
The timeline still does not add up.
That Hicks is only just now being allowed to testify before Congress reinforces concerns that the Administration continues to slow-roll the truth coming out. Yet the White House continues to stick to the increasingly incredulous line that it has been forthcoming at every step.
Just recently, the White House press spokesperson defended the State Department’s internal review of the attack as “rigorous and unsparing,” even after the State Department Inspector General announced it is investigating the conduct of the panel that produced the report.
Fundamental questions about the security breakdown in Benghazi still have not been fully answered. With a White House that is still in denial about sharing the truth, it remains up to the Congress to press for answers and the press the Administration to take its responsibility of protecting our personnel overseas more seriously than protecting its political reputation at home.
The hearing will be streamed live here beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET.
In true Nixonian style, the response to the Benghazi hearings is that it is a "political witch hunt". Only this time, this BS is hurled by the media who will do anything to provide cover to Barack Milhouse Obama.
When are you Badweb supporters of this administration going to wake up? Most of you know what I am writing is true but you can't bring yourself to admit that you have made a mistake.
Mr President, go golfing or go home. Pretty please with sugar on top. You are a human wrecking ball.
CNN and MSNBC are not covering the Benghazi Hearings. Instead they are pointing their cameras at the Amanda Berry's house and she is not going to speak today.
Do you need any more proof that the media is protecting Obama and Clinton at the expense of finding the truth? When will people wake up?
