Looking for opinions on where to live and where to stay away from. I want to stay as close to Delta College as possible.

I do not live terribly close to there, but Saginaw does not have a very nice reputation. If the price of the place your looking at sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

When you get all set up, we are only about 40mins apart and there are still a couple Buell guys around this way.

Thanks Hardcorps,

I've been told that the north end better than the rest of the city. I'm mostly looking in Bay City but will also consider Midland. I just don't want a 45 minute commute every day.

I would avoid Saginaw for the most part. I have a brother that lives in Freeland (next to the Tri City Airport) - it's a nice sleepy little village yet less than 10 minutes from the SVSU campus and the Fashion Square mall on the NW side of Saginaw. Midland is a decent choice too as there is some $ connected with that town via Dow Chemical.

Zane,

Ping me when you get up this way. I moved to Flint from KC about a year and a half ago. Winter sucks, but the Summer almost makes up for it.

Zane, I owe you! Let me know when you get up this way. There are plenty of places to stay around there that are nice. West of Saginaw is Shields, so is all of the little towns east of I-75. Any place down town and straight south of down town is pretty bad.

Gbackus,
I'll be working for Ellucian, the company that runs Delta College;s I.T. Department.
KCfirebolt, Yeah once I'm settled in I'll give you a shout, you too Rob.

I think I've made my decision about where to live. Found a place to rent only 4 blocks off of Lake Huron, just north west of Bay City. Good garage for the bikes and fenced back yard for the dogs. Rest of the house is for me so it doesn't matter.

Forgot to ask, how is the local HD dealer with Buells? My last ride in AZ, it started to run bad in the low RPM range and mileage went down from 48 on the highway to 38 mpg. I'm guessing a fouled plug or bad plug wire. I don't have the time or equipment to diognose it properly. If the local HD dealer isn't good with Buells, who should it go to?

I've looked at about a dozen places is Saginaw, Darn near anyplace is better that Saginaw. I would never have believed that anyplace was worse than Yuma. Saginaw is...

I've found a place just north of Bay City, It's only about 4 blocks off of Lake Huron. About 20 minute commute to new office at Delta College.
