I recently recently renewed my mlbtv subscription & they've apparently changed their Flash based media player & it now requires 1024 x 768 & my netbook only goes up to 1024 x 600. Their support forum moderator suggests installing "boxee" as a workaround. I'm really far from impressed with mlbtv & will be contacting their customer service dept to vent my spleen. In the meantime is there a way to up my screen resolution so that it'll work normally? Its an Acer Aspire one 522. |

Sorry grumps, but the short answer is no. You would need to replace the display, and find one that is compatible with the rest of the computer. For what that would cost, you would be better off buying a brand new computer with better specs. |

I was afraid of that, f****n mlb it worked fine last season now it doesn't because they've changed it, no apologies not even excuses, just change your equipment or try this old outdated player that still works. For a premium package I'm not impressed. |

Just get a cheap external monitor that has sufficient resolution, and use that as the monitor for the laptop (disabling the built in monitor). It should work fine. The video card will support more resolution, just not the built in monitor. |

Oh I can sit in the swivel chair in the study and watch on the big monitor with the tower, but I also use the netbook when I'm travelling or tucked up in bed (with headphones on so I don't disturb Mme G, natch) I'm just really hacked off with the attitude from mlbtv, judging by their support forum I'm not alone in my opinion or my problem. |
