Based on that picture, I'd say it's either a 350F or a 550F Honda in-line four tank.

It looks like the tank off a mid - 70s Yamaha 750 Triple.

Brian, there is a HUGE market for CB/CL 350 parts. Your CL is in really nice shape, you may want to consider selling it whole then picking up another one for your project. You may come out money ahead.

Almost certainly will! The prices these Japanese classics go for are obscene!

Also it would be a crying shame to rip something in that condition apart just for the bits.

I detest E--bay and Craig s-List.....I saw one of these go for $5700 last week on E-Bay. I am in it for nothing really, but grinding off all that mounting tab stuff on the pristine frame seems like a waste. If you saw my shop, you would understand why I don't want strangers at the house. If you know any interested parties, I will flip you a couple hundred.. Decisions, decisions..I just got a perfect 1978 GL-1000 from my brother that he bought new..This is next.

I have started doing Buell work for people who want the best. From simple maintenance to the moon, what ever they want. I would appreciate if you could help spread the word . My work speaks for itself, and if I could make a living at this, that would be a dream come true. I also currently have 6 vintage Hondas in my home shop that are receiving concourse quality restorations. I set-up these bikes new, so i have a bit of a working knowledge of how they are supposed to look.
