First the story:
I finally got the old piggy together and ran a couple of errands on it. Consuming no oil, no odd sounds, pulling quite well.
I drove it to work one morning, took it to lunch at work. no leaks.
After work, I took it on the highway to stretch its legs. got off after one exit.
Oil was POURING out from under.

It's the junction of the oil pump and the case at the pressure side.

I can't get it to seal. I've had it off several times and replaced the gasket even though nothing was visually wrong with the old one.

I ask here since the Buells up to 2007 had the same sort of arrangement.
Is it possible that the line is clogged in the engine?
This thing is baffling me.
It was fine for 25 miles until it pissed itself that night on the highway. Now it's like it's not even trying to hold the oil in.

Nate not being an Iron head guy I don't know
a guess,

our buells the oil intake is open to the sump ( sump section [ return ]), the bag feeds the oil to the engine via the feed pump, the case joint / pump housing leaking sounds like a crack or a flatness issue

A couple of wild guesses:

I have had my Ironhead CH's puke surprising amounts of oil out of the stand pipe from the generator drive. Perhaps something blocked in the cam case?

I have found the oil pump body cracked where the check valve assy screws into it.

Since new gaskets have not cured the issue, perhaps a crack has developed, esp around one of the mounting bolt holes?
