I haven't been tased, but the right combination of chemicals in the brain can let you shrug it off after the muscle contraction phase.

When hit by the volts, he crumpled up nicely as his muscles went into spasm, just as designed.

Normally you'd be cramping up nicely and stunned after the shock is administered, but if you've got the will, or are wasted enough, you can ignore the sensation/fact that forcing movement out of cramping muscles is going to cost you later.

Boy, do you have to ripped to tease multiple police officers after they've tased and tackled you.

Love to see the medical report. Wonder what cocktail he was on? PCP for example, can disassociate you from your own body enough to show that kind of resistance to intelligent thought. I have no freaking idea what's in "Bath Salts" or "Synthetic Marawanna".

Oddly, looked like he was having fun until they finally downed him the old fashioned police brutality/caveman way. ( a technique used for the history of the species, because it works )

Oh, forgot to answer the question.

Taser vs. gun?

Not preferred.

but---- Sure. If all you have is a taser.

If all you have is an exhaust pipe, by all means use it.

Better is armor, preferably with a big engine to pull it around, and a 20mm Vulcan cannon.

"Non-Lethal" weapons often are. Often ineffective too. Any impact weapon, rubber bullets/bean bags, can break necks, trigger cardiac arrest, etc. Tasers offer a fair risk of cardiac & nervous system dangers. Chemical sprays also can cause life threatening problems.....All can kill by accident........... Or not work all that well at all.

I once foolishly bet $50 that the tear gas can a co worker carried and was snug about, could be ignored and the can taken from him. It was quite unpleasant, as anyone who went through gas drills in boot can tell you. I did promise not to beat him up or spray him with the can I took away. Kept the promise.

Needed a shower, change of shirt, and some coffee to get back to fully functional, about an hour.

I wouldn't do that again. Don't try this at home.

That was interesting. And the thing is, even alcohol can thwart a taser. I've seen drunks get repeatedly knocked down by them yet are able to get back up almost immediately. One cop kept his finger on the switch for a good ten seconds but the drunk bounced back up right away. Ten seconds of zap....gives new meaning to the expression "riding the lightning."

I got tased once. I was sober. I went down. It wasn't pleasant, but didn't disable me. If I had the right amount of fight, drugs, or booze in me, it would have slowed me down, but not taken me out of the fight.
